Portuguese Influence on Obama Family

LISBON, Portugal (CNN) - While in Lisbon for the NATO and EU Summits, Obama took time to mention to the Portuguese Prime Minister what an influence Portugal has been on the Obama family.

"I understand that there’s been a fair amount of interest here about how my family has been enriched by Portugal as well, specifically Bo, our dog.  He is the most popular member of the White House. "

Bo is a Portuguese water dog who the Obamas adopted in April 2009 with the help of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts.

With the President's approval rating under 50%, maybe Bo is more popular!
