WASHINGTON (CNN) –The queen of talk, the president and first lady of the United States together again. The President and Mrs. Obama will sit down with Oprah Winfrey for a taping of her talk show April 27th, a White House source confirms to CNN.
This is Oprah's final season for the popular syndicated show which she has hosted for 25 years. She famously endorsed then-Senator Obama in his bid for president in 2007 on the Larry King Show. That was the first time the talk show queen inserted herself into a presidential race. Winfrey went on to campaign for Obama and was very visible at his election night victory rally in Chicago's Grant Park.
Just this month the internet lit up with speculation that she might not endorse Obama in his bid for re-election in 2012. But she has remained mum on that topic. The show with the Obamas will air May 2.
