The debt ceiling battle: Where things stand on a vote

The federal government has four days left to raise the nation's current $14.3 trillion debt ceiling, the Treasury Department said. A failure to do so will risk an unprecedented national default.  Read about where things stand on our "This Just In" blog.

Today Barry said that this money is not for new spending but to meet our obligations. Does this mean that he will not spend more on stimulus, shovel ready projects? How long do you think this promises will last?

Just so you know. He grew up as Barry Obama then changed to Barack. Here are a few of his quotes "I had learned not to care, I blew a few smoke rings, rembering those years. Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it. Not smack though". "There is not much difference on my position and George Bush's position on Iraq". He called Jeremiah Wright his "mentor" and "spritual advisor" of 20 years. His father was a "non-practicing Muslim" according to Obama, but he was registered as a Muslim at his childhood schools according to the LA Times (not that there is anything wrong with that). He was endorsed by; Hamas, Farrakhan, Michael Moore, Hugo Chavez Fidel Castro, Jane Fonda and Kim Jong Il.
The is the guy you libs bow down to.

Paul Ryan on the floor of the House yesterday talking about Reids proposal "If we budget 14 trillion dollars to cover the moon in cheese then we create a budget and say we are no longer going to cover the moon in cheese we just saved 14 billion dollars".
For those of you bashing the Tea Party today understand that you are supporting this type of reasoning coming out of Washington.

"Today’s update: Last night the GOP couldn’t pass the Boehner bill…because it wasn’t radical enough for the rest of the House Republicans. Today they will vote on a more extreme version that they know won’t pass the Senate.

Why? Because some House Republicans want the nation to default. Instead of helping fix the economy, they would rather intentionally tank it so they can attempt to pin it on President Obama and Democratic candidates.

And Karl Rove is heading up that strategy with millions in attack ads currently running in swing states."

    Truth is the leavening power
    of G-d
It can transmute the all of life
into it self and when the all of
life into its self and when the all
of life is truth then man is truth.

"The Republicans have been willing to concede nothing. Their stand means higher interest rates, fewer jobs created and more destroyed, a general weakening of this country’s standing in the world. Osama bin Laden, if he were still alive, could not have come up with a more clever strategy for strangling our nation."-Joe Klein-Time The Swampland

The Democrat held Senate refuses to vote on both House bills, they are the ones unwilling to cooperate.

Simply because, teapotty Republicans and you who are brainwashed and owned by Citizen's United (aka foreign owned big business), they have compassion and will not vote for measures that will hurt the less fortunate.

@John, just so you know, I grew up as 'Liz' to most family and friends. However, the name that's listed on my birth certificate is the name my parents gave me; 'Elizabeth'. The 'social' nick-name change was the 'change'! I didn't change it to 'Elizabeth' afther I got older. It was always 'Elizabeth' anyway! Professionally, many people revert back to their true names! Why are you and Jay so disrespectfully petty about the mans' name?!? (as if I don't know) If 'Barack' was known as Barry growing up, SO WHAT?

@John, where did you get the news that Hamas endorsed Obama? I, for one, am happy that you learned everyone else you named had endorsed him. I knew about them all along. That tells me that besides OPRAH and many other sound-minded Americans of means, he's being 'backed' by somebody with 'clout', celebrity and intelligence! Just from reading yours and several others comments on this blog, there's but one possible mentor or spiritual advisor you could have; Lucifer! Now known as Satan! The Devil! SO HATEFUL!
