Obama gets clean bill of health

mooney.mug

President Obama is “fit for duty,” his doctor concludes in a medical report released Monday by the White House.

According to the report by Dr. Jeffrey C. Kuhlman, the president was found to have normal blood pressure and cholesterol levels. He also tested negative in colorectal and prostate screening exams while his vision is 20/20.

“The President is in excellent health and ‘fit for duty’. All clinical data indicate he will remain so for the duration of his Presidency. The President is current on all age-appropriate screening tests. He is ‘fit at fifty’ and ‘staying healthy at 5+’,” wrote Dr. Kuhlman, who is also a Navy captain.

Obama’s vital statistics:

Age: 50 years, 2+ months
Height: 73 inches
Weight: 181.3 pounds
Body Mass Index: 23.9 kg/m2
Heart rate: 67 bpm
Blood pressure: 107/71 mm Hg
Pulse-oximetry: 100%
Temperature: 97.7 degrees F

Dr. Kuhlman recommends the president undergo another physical in December of 2012.

Obama is doing what he can but we live in a democracy. Everything that he and the dmetcraos are trying to achieve has been shot down by the Republicans who have been voting No on everything. Don't blame the people that are trying to help the middle class, blame the people that are holding middle class tax cuts just so the very wealthy can keep their yachts and 2nd summer homes. Besides, it was the failed right wing/Bush policies that caused the unemployment in the first place.

I dunno. In my math book, 73 divided by 12 was equal to 6 with 1 left over: six foot one inch. Maybe the extra 2 inches is because of the lifts in this shoes?

I could care less about Obama health as long as he don't die. No matter how bad the president is at his job(cough Obama cough) I wouldn't want them to die. So good for obama. It at least shows he isn't lazy when it comes to his daily life. His job on the other hand.......not so much.

Calling the president names is just disrespectful. Calling him names without stating specific instances is pathetic. Mispelling the word "Liar"....Classic.

Go lay down dear or try promoting on of the GOP candidates for what they will bring to this country. Criticizing the president with childish name calling is useless in advancing your ideology.

      @hit the road brack:
The President and Vice President like all members of congress, the senate, all federal government employees, military, postal employees, and even the janitors at the White House are covered under the Federal Employees Health Benefits Plan (GEHA). It is the insurance plan federal employees buy into with the government picking up as much as 72% of the premium cost. Depending on the type of plan selected, with the premium and coverage each person wants to purchase and feels they can afford.....there are up to 300 different plans for them to chose from.

In your search engine type: What kind of health insurance does the president and congress receive?
      A complete answer is at:
      http://www.askforinsurance.com/health-insurance/president-and-congress-health-insurance.html

It is actually the model that President Obama used for what he wanted the: Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 to include. And what all Americans will have if they are not screwed around by the Teapotty Rethugliklans....it is known to the vastly misinformed as: Obamacare.

I forgot to add that depending on the insurance plan you purchase... your age, gender, etc. you would get appropriate wellness checks and preventive care under the Affordable Health Care Act of 2010....once it is fully implemented.

I'm glad Obama is in good health but our economy sure itsn't. It's too bad his health wasn't linked to the economy, then he'd really be working for us.

      @Tilly,

When Obama took over, the financial market needed $784 BILLION to keep from completely forcing us into a 2nd depression. Remember that?
The country was losing 750 THOUSAND JOBS PER MONTH. Remember that?
While Obama's been in office we have 19 straight months with job gains, we've gotten rid of OBL, Kadahfi, Mubarak, as well as most of anybody associating themselves with Al Qaeda.

So did you just start complaining about the problems when Obama starting cleaning them up? Kinda lame don't ya think?

Love how everyone says he will be toast at the election. Who are you going to vote for? Mitt the chameleon, Yosemite Sam Perry, or Herman Cain? All of them are dolts and will be laughed at by the rest of the world. Cain has no international experience nor does Romney or Perry. If Herman Cain gets the nomination, it will be President Obama again for another 4 years, the choice will be between two African Americans, and believe me, the majority of people will vote for the handsome, cool, calm, highly intelligent one already in office rather than the ugly, smart-assed, inexperienced one.

SaintM, Not arguing with you BUT what international (foreign) experience did Obama have as a candidate? If that did not matter then, why does it matter now?

You said " the majority of people will vote for the handsome, cool, calm, highly intelligent one already in office rather than the ugly, smart-assed, inexperienced one".

I will ask a question in a comedic way, please take it as such! Are you voting for President or are you prepping for a date?

      November 1, 2011 at 11:52 am | Reply
      • jean2009

Well Steveo for someone who didn't have experience he has done a remarkably better job than the last holder of the office. Who I might remind you didn't have prior International Foreign experience. Unless owning a baseball team and being governor of Texas for 6 years counts.

Do you think maybe for President Obama it could have been the Columbia University major in Political Science with a specialty in International Relations ...or was it serving as a Senator on the Senate Committee for Foreign Relations and chairing the Senate Committee for European Affairs? For some odd reason those sound like experience to me...or at least as much as many other persons who have gotten to the level of being POTUS.

        November 1, 2011 at 7:55 pm |
      • Steveo

Just for sake of conversation jean2009, exactly how much foreign experience do you think he gained with only a year or so as a full time senator? In addition, the theory of PS/IR in a classroom does not play out well when dealing with North Korea, China, Syria, Iran, etc. I do give him credit he has made good strides after a few missteps but all Presidents make them. This also why all presidents have advisers. He gets some credit!
