Obama's job council to recommend corporate tax overhaul, deregulation

CNNMoney's got the details on what the president's Jobs Council will recommend later this morning. As CNNMoney notes, most of the recommendations have been proposed in the past:

WASHINGTON (CNNMoney) - President Obama's jobs council on Tuesday released its latest round of recommendations detailing how the United States can be more competitive.

This time, the recommendations aren't all that new and appear unlikely to get much traction. Versions of all most of the council's recommendations have also been offered before by the Obama administration in an effort to spur job growth.

The recommendations include investing in education and research and development, supporting the manufacturing sector, and reforming the tax and regulatory systems.

Is the council made up of all repubs? Reforming the tax and regulatory systems? These are not words uses by dems... The dems must be the ones that want to "invest" (tax).

George of the Jungle – Democrats are bragging they plain to raise $1 billion for the campaign!!!! Don't you think that money would be better spent on education? Oh thats right, if the Dems do it, then it is ok. Oh by the way, it was the President's original debt commission that recommended reforming entitlements, reforming the tax code, and what did the Prez do...he ignored it because it was politically difficult. This president does nothing unless it is to better his political position. It is really sad that he will be remembered as the first black president

people need to start paying attention or we will be left behind. The repos keep spouting off but will do nothing to change the tax structur or advance new sources of energy . They hollar about education but thats only for the elite few who can afford tth huge sums of money it takes to get a college education today. They would rather spend millions of pac money on getting elected than help the ecomony right now. This has been a disgusting campaing and its only the repos now.

we are left behind...you moron! And you think a marxist president will make a difference....leadership of a community organizer/civil rights attornery, and 2nd rate law school lecturer will build up Americas economic base. We need adult supervision...and we need it bad!

Did you just say you need adult supervision? Is this why americans are so slow in thinking and the rest of the world is over taking you?

Obama never brought up any of the issues the corporate CEO's are suggesting to bring up the economy... This group doesn't include Immelt and the SEIU gangstas... Obama probably dropped a load in his drawers when HIS HAND-Picked group came up with these ideas. He is such a loser. Hey CNN, nice reporting, or should I say spinning???

I'f your IQ is lower than your shoe size, you should not be allowed to post. Seems many here fit that requirement. Get over it, a black man is president and will be for another 4 years thanks to the clown show on the other side.
