American Idol watch out! POTUS sings

It was apparently irresistible.  Taking the stage at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem at a fundraiser Thursday night, President Obama broke into song–at least a couple bars of the 1972 classic hit "Let's Stay Together".

UPDATE: White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer tweets:

pfeiffer44Dan Pfeiffer

I have worked for President Obama for 5 years and until last night, I had no idea that he could sing

This President just makes me so angry at his detractors. He's like the coolest guy and the insults, and disrespect just keeps coming from these knuckle draggers on the right. Our president as

    1) Overted a 2nd great depression
    2) Gotten 2 million Americans insurance
    3) 22 months of straight job growth on his wathc
    4) Save the U.S. Auto industry
    5) Took Down Osama Bin Laden – w/o a single lose of U.S. life
    6) Took Down Mohmar Ghadaffi – w/o a single lose of U.S. life
    7) Equal pay for equal work fo all women
    8) Deported / prosecuted more illegal immigrants than all of his predecessors...really tightened up the border
And the most Important thing of all:
    9) Professionally and compassionately worked through disasters; BP Oil Spil, Haiti earthquake, Missouri tornadoes
and for the racists morons that couldn't accept his word for it...........
    9) Produced his long form birth certificate for the absolutely IDIOTS who complained for 3 years about him not having one....sorry, there's that angry at the haters thing again.

But keep in mind all of these accomplishments, WERE WITHOUT ONE BIT OR SHRED OF SUPPORT FROM THE MOST UN-AMERICAN PARTY IN THE HISTORY OF THIS COUNTRY.....THE GOP/TEA POTTY RE-DUMBLICANS. I am literally sick to death of all that party stands for and will work to make sure they NEVER EVER regain control of this country they have first attempted to destroy and then abandoned.

      1) by expanding gov. 5 times including debt
      2) increased cost of healthcare to unsustainable llevels despite claiming obamacare would reduce costs
      3) Increased food stamp roles to record levels
      4) Expanded gov. control over private industries
      5) Pulled out of Iraq despite generals on the ground warnings causing thousands of civil war deaths, posturing with Navy, war with Iran
      6) Despite needing approval has had Marines fighting and dying in Lybia prior to the ouster of Gadafi, under thhe guise of peacekeeping non military force (you better check your facts on Lybia).
      7) No work for the women on the keystone pipeline
      8) HaHaHaHaHa-can't even respond to this stupidity–just look to Arizona for this Presiden't border policy.
      9) Check your facts, the gulf states were severely restricted by the gov. interference to clean up the mess, and when it was all over the administration says we are not sure where all the oil went. BP and the racists cleaned it up not gov.
      10) Why is it so hard to find ones birth record.

All this with a majority in both houses of congress until Americans woke up during the mid-terms and the brakes were put on the food stamp president. A majority of Americans wanted and voted for tea party candidates to not only say no but hell no!!

You want to give power to the States? These sleeping giants of HATE? WHAT KIND OF HISTORY ABOUT THE STATES WITHIN THE US DO YOU KNOW? These are the very same states that struggled to give minorities rights and even after giving minorities some rights, they still don't recognize them fully as equal citizens... I support an all powerful federal government. Were it not for the federal government and its constitution, what would stop a state like Missouri or Florida from exterminating blacks, Latinos and or Chinese students? What would stop a corrupt sheriff in Iowa or Oklahoma from using night raids to burn homes and terrorize minorities in their community? These and much more...i mean what would stop a state like Texas or Arkansas from employing apartheid laws? I have come across many Americans who love and fantasize with the hateful past when some citizens were property and slaves, and are working hard to bring those times back. The only reason why gas chambers and apartheid laws are not present at the state level is because of the presence of the US Federal system. Take it out and it is open season...do as you like and guess what? the states will always pride themselves with being able to get away with it. The federal government must be all powerful....i would not trust the states with that power. Arizona, Alabama, Mississippi are all good examples of what these states can do to people "not like us" and happily get away with it...after all they had been doing it for 200+ years and only stopped when the federal government put its foot down...

You can say all you want but it was OBAMAs( and others like him) ideology that created the mess that brought down the economy...the mortgage lending other redistribution scams. The obummer experiment is over...her in the US and everywhere else in the world...while we still have food to eat and heat in the winter.

Pulled out of Iraq despite generals on the ground warnings causing thousands of civil war deaths, posturing with Navy, war with Iran and pulling out of Afganistan-The US was asked to leave because Iraq would not provide protection for our troops. As for pipeline-check your facts- according to Trans canada only 5,000 for couple years would be employed and most are from canada. they want to use US land to construct pipeline to the gulf and oil would go on market to highest bidder, (not US benefit). As for food stamps, stock market plunged, auto industry bankrupt, thousands of manufacturing jobs were gone when he took office, what did you want him to do, let the people starved to death-I didnt see republicans helping any of them, they said they were worried about stock market, yet they did NOTHING. They didnt tell the people how bad it was, remember Paulsen. He knew and what did he do

It's interesting that the first two things listed as happenings next to White House on the Politics page had to do with our President and First Lady both appearing in some form of entertainment. Michele took time in her busy schedule to appear on the Tonight show and BO at the Apollo. So between The View, The Tonight Show, The Apollo Theatre and all the other tv appearances made by them, we can be comforted in knowing that they've made inroads to their next form of employment as we kick them out of the White House with our votes. These people are pathetic as leaders and with over 10% unemployment and jobs still being cut all over the country, this is a pretty sick way for either of them to be using their time in office. Can't wait til they are gone and we have some sense and decorum back in our country!

Bush, shaken by his visit to a musuem that tells the story of Rwanda's 1994 genocide in which more than 800,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus were slaughtered in just 100 days by extremist Hutu militias.Bush, who famously once wrote not on my watch in the margin of a report on the Rwanda massacre, decided not to send U.S. troops into Sudan, focusing instead on imposing sanctions, applying diplomatic pressure and training and transporting other nations' soldiers for peacekeeping. He has been particularly frustrated at what he sees as sluggish efforts by other nations against the atrocities that have raged in Sudan's western Darfur region for five years. Bush has called Darfur's situation genocide, though others have not. Hoping that his campaign for increased involvement by others would gain more weight from the scene of another genocide, the president used strong language to blast the international effort. If you're a problem solver, you put yourself at the mercy of the decisions of others, in this case, the United Nations, Bush said. It is seems very bureaucratic to me, particularly with people suffering.

        @tomclem....clee-diddle hopper,

If you are the arbiter of the anti-Obama crusade, then we can all rest assured he will be re-elected. Your remarks are absolutely VAPID....Aren't you embarassed that most people realize that essentially for 2 or 3 years AFTER a president leaves office, his policies still impact the country? Don't you realize WE WERE losing 750K jobs in the month that Obama was sworn in? Thus the country's newest food stamp recipients would have resulted as a matter of Bush policies Wow...It is so frustrating trying to get the clueless to understand facts and the obvious. And yet, like "tom terrific here" they proudly promote stupidity.

So for you to say that Obama "put people on food stamps at a record level" means, chances are you flunked 6th grade or never ever even heard of a "critical thinking" class. HOW DUMB DO YOU SOUND? Coherent and reasonable arguments are out the door for you huh Tom? Let's all welcome the idiocy of the GOP/Tea-Dumblicans ...Destroying this country with one bad idea after another.

People on food stamps and welfare are better off, so are those on unemployment which in itself has become a new career. I met someone the other day that said he had an "Obama phone", a free phone he got funded by taxpayers. Since when is having a phone a right? Sheesh, I'd vote for a can of orange juice over Obama. Journalists and Obots keep getting it wrong! It doesn't matter where he was born. He didn't have two American parents. My position is that if he was born on the capital steps he would not be eligible because he only had one American parent. Consider this conversation at McCain’s eligibility inquiry by the U.S. Senate: "My assumption and my understanding is that if you are born of American parents, you are naturally a natural-born American citizen," Chertoff replied. "That is mine, too," said Leahy. What's interesting here is that Sen. Leahy, the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary, confirms that a "natural born" citizen is the child of American citizen parents. Parents - that's two. That's BOTH parents.

Just a Reminder – Before he was nominated AKA Obama Signed Resolution Describing Him As Ineligible

Also see: The Tribe/Olson Memo on Natural Born Citizenship
Given the stature of Messrs Tribe and Olson, this should, by any measure, be a nail in the coffin of the 'single citizen-parent' theory of Presidential eligibility.

You are who you keep company with, your mother taught you that. Obama simply does not have an American brain...he is not one of us, does not think like we do and does not love America. He is a cold eyed Marxist who if you let him will eventually enslave you...if your dumb enough to buy his hype.

People born within the United States regardless of the nationality of their parents are natural born citizens.

Barack Obama was born of an American mother in Hawaii....end of topic.

Black's Law Dictionary (9th Edition) defines 'Natural Born Citizen' as "A person born within the jurisdiction of a national government."

I I don’t want the government involved in “good works”. I want the government to stay within the enumerated powers of the constitution. All kinds of evil comes from the increased role of government but the most obvious contribution to an evil force is corruption because it is an invitation to Hades to have citizen “A” vote with citizen “B” to take money from citizen “C: and give it to citizen “D”.

Or to say it another way “Politicians who rob Peter to pay Paul can always count on the vote of Paul.”

IIt starts there. A few decades later we have totalitarian oppression.

America was conceived as a nation built on good works....if you want otherwise, maybe you should go elsewhere

      http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2010/10/americas-founders-and-the-principles-of-foreign-policy-sovereign-independence

"The United States would support, defend, and advance the cause of freedom everywhere. It would be a refuge for the sober, industrious, and virtuous of the world, as well as for victims of persecution. By sympathy and appropriate action, Americans would show themselves to be true friends of humanity."

The obamas are in full campaign mode...trying real hard to soften their public image. Trying to make you believe they are one of you. They are hard core leftist radicals...and there is NO doubt about this, admitted in obamas books and every thing he has tried to do foreign and domestically.

The question is: are those voters (other than the radical collectivists) going to swallow this garbage and vote for him again....or have you learned your lesson.

Lets see Obama released his tax records and guess what he is not as rich as Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich. He trully wants to help middle class and low income unlike the morans running for president on Republican side.
How can Romney sympathize with unemployed and poor when he has millions in off shore banks and Newt changes wives like he changes his underwear. Is this who we want to run our country?

Do you mean "morons" or "morans"? Either way you can count yourself as one.

obama will like clinton get rich after he is out of office... Harry Truman would not give speeches or earn money after he left office because he felt the office was not for sale... left wingers of today are cut from different cloth than Harry. These are narcissistic power mongers.

Did you see how Gingrinch's speaking fees have already added up?

So much for your teapitty stupidity... it looks like that narcissistic power monger G. W. Bush, had racked up $15 million in speaking fees from January 2009 to May 2011.

Dear Laurence Thomas,The dfneerifces between Hitler and Obama are that vast, that this comparison is far beyond moral health. You mentioned four reasons why mr. Obama and Hitler are comparible: eloquency, bitteredness, proclaiming change and not listening to other people. I do not know for my person of comparison in regards of the fourth characteristic, but the first three characteristics which you mention apply equally well to Martin Luther King. And I would say that the comparison between him and mr. Obama is much more logical and convenient. You say that people do not know the most common knowledge, I am sorry, but the fact that you think Hitler and mr. Obama can be compared shows me that you have not the faintest idea who Hitler was. I am coming from the Netherlands and one day I arrived home and told my father about the dispute I had with a police officer about a ticket he gave to me. My father listened with a big smile and responded that he was so proud on our society. I was puzzled, what that had to do with my story? He answered, that if I would have done that during the occupation I would have been shot right on the street by the Germans, as they would not tolerate that kind of behavior. If you would have your blog written in Nazi-Germany you and your family would already have been harassed, you would be fired from your job, threatened and discriminated and after comparing Hitler to a black man incarcerated, tortured and probably murdered. Have you felt any moment this threat in your life? You would have it in Nazi-Germany. Hitler built camps far more atrocious then Guatanamo Bay, mr. Obama's first act was to close it. I strongly disagree with Guatanamo Bay and the incarcerated people deeply suffer, but this camp is like a summer camp in comparison to the camps Hitler ordered to.Please, if you would compare mr. Obama to a eloquent, bittered man who proclaimed change, choose Martin Luther King. I think this is far more appropriate. And please, never mention Hitler and any president of the United States in one breath together. Your presidents do not deserve that, how idiot one might call them. You are allowed to call your president an idiot. That does not harm you, it will not kill you. It would in Nazi-Germany.By the way, I do agree with your end conclusion, but nowhere is mr. Obama or George Bush to be compared with Hitler. Nowhere. With kind regards,Loek Bergman

Obama instead spreads misery and dependency around. All the singing in the world won't put anyone back to work yet you act as if it will.

Firstly I'm an independent, so I carry the torch for neither camp. There's a nice sized list of Obama policies I dont agree with, but given the alternative I'm voting for him in November. The Tea Party makes some valid points, but unfortunately has failed to produce a suitable candidate. I'm amazed that these people will turn a blind eye to Newt and Mit's record because of their disdain for Obama. Ever hear the phrase, "cutting off the nose to spite the face"?

This love affair isn't surprising. Even when Obama swatted a fly lefties said "Oh, catlike reflexes". If lefties truly had their way free speech would be gone and criticizing Obama would be against the law.

    Hey truindep,

Wondering where are you on the appeasement drivel from the GOP/Tea Potty spin? This president has wiped out more terrorist than all of his predecessors. I laugh so hard at your idiot party trying to discount this president's record of protecting this country...while singing himself right into history as this country's best president.

I can guarantee you, this president is doing his job...ask Osama or Ghaddafi, as they line up to receive their quotient of virgins in the hereafter. Don't hate Obama, just speak to the facts in the sphere of reality and you won't sound like a troll that lives in a basement under a huge rock.

Whenever I need a good laugh I can always read some of the righty comments about our POTUS. Unfortunately, it's also funny and scary at the same time. I look at the comments and think " Are they for real?" They take a comment put out by Faux news and repeat it faster than a parrott word for word, then want to accuse Dems of being Obamabots. I had my issues with Pres. Bush, but hatred didn't play into it. Yet all these good God fearing Christians are having a regular hate fest.
