Obama, Romney ratchet up back and forth over outsourcing

Washington (CNN) – President Barack Obama, who took his renewed pitch to cut taxes for the middle class to Iowa Tuesday, and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney ratcheted up the tense back and forth over outsourcing work overseas in an appeal to those hit hardest by the economic downturn.

At its core, the debate is a fierce battle to win the support of middle class voters - especially those in battleground states.

The Obama campaign continued hammering Romney over his private equity firm, Bain Capital, which "owned companies that were pioneers in the practice of shipping work from the United States to overseas call centers and factories making computer components," according to a television advertisement released Saturday. Obama's campaign has also been forcefully pushing a Washington Post report that calls Romney's former private equity firm, Bain Capital, a "pioneer" in outsourcing jobs overseas.

The campaign has made the report a focal point of its ads against Romney, and the president frequently mentions it in his stump speeches.

Obama is the master out sourcer, he out sourced all those green jobs with taxpayer money. He then turns around and lies about it, and the gullible buy it hook, line and sinker. What proof is there that Obama has run anything? Being on a left wing board with Bill Ayers doesn't qualify as leadership or management.

Irony - conservatives indignantly decry outsourcing out of one side of their mouths ... while supporting Republican Senate filibusters of legislation (http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2010/09/28/gop-blocks-democrats-jobs-outsourcing-bill/) that would create tax incentives for businesses to curtail said workforce relocation practices.

Impressive. The romney campaign is reduced to junior high tactics..."I know you are but what am I?"

Absolutely pathetic. Desperation is raising it's ugly head.

Ah...Frank, you want proof "Obama has run anything"? You buffoon, he's been president for 3 1/2 years!

I think he meant Obamanation hasn't run anything successfully. That leaves out the last three and a half years as the president.

Face facts, 1. outsourcing is the fault of all the government agentcys and the american people for buying all this "crap" from china.. 2. outsourcing iseems to be the only thing the Obamanation can hit romney with. Or atleast the biggest.
    3. Romney should win this election just by default ( the Oman is a total failure as a president when it comes to our economy and livelyhood). 4. If he doesn't win we are in for another 4 years of this stagnation.

Frank Marshall Davis "You lie". The President has not outsourced in green jobs! But, for the sake of argument, please submit your evidence. Furthermore, the is a substantial difference between providing stimulus money to fail business in the US versus profiting from a business, Bain Capital, that specialized and encouraged its clients to outsource and offshore US jobs. There is no comparison here! The Republican Party must really think that average american operates on a 6th grade education. Sorry, the public education system is not that bad.

Romney would say anything to make himself look good. He even said he help Detroit's recovery. So he'd continue to accuse Obama for outsourcing which no one has ever said.

Romney and the Republicans are not for the American people. They are for Republicans and their wealthy buddies. They have had absolutely no interest in the economy improving for the last 3 1/2 years and done everything in their power to make it worse. And they call themselves Patriots. Boehner, Cantor. McConnell, Jindal, Perry, Gingrich, Romney. My God, they have done more damage to this county in the last 3 years than Bush did in 8
