NEWFLASH chump: – Congress creates legislation, NOT the Executive branch. Unfortunately, the Grand Obstructionist Party has ensured that nothing is getting done on the jobs front even tho' jobs, jobs, jobs was their 2010 platform that caused you lemmings to give them back control of the House. Adding anti-abortion and defense spending increases to every bill they introduce (knowing the Dem's will reject them) does not get things done in DC. Blocking and filibustering every Dem bill does nothing either. That is precisely why the latest jobs bill failed.
If you want to blame anyone, blame your own lame political hacks!

There's no point Lizzie. It's an election year and nothing is going to get thru Congress as neither party has a majority. Besides, I thought jobs, jobs, jobs was what you lemmings voted the GOBP back into control of the House for?
Where are those jobs? Oh, that's right, don't blame you own political hacks, but expect the POTUS to get HIS jobs council together to fix something YOUR Party promised to do themselves. Typical Repug divisive blame game!

As you know, Rasmussen is a conservative pollster disclosing that they have woreked for the Repvblican National Committee – check it – its on their website. They cannot be trusted to be objective, but they can be trusted to produce statistics for use by the conservative media outlets like F0xnews.

      August 1, 2012 at 11:45 am |
      • Cynthia L.

You are right about it being a conservative poll.
Here's another interesting tidbit that will have conservative panties in a bunch AND it was by Charles Krauthammer on FOX questioning WHY Mitt and his wife, of all years – this one being an election year- put their very expensive hobby horse in the Olympic Equestrian Events, in a sport that is known to be elitist and comes from English snobbery because only the rich, hoity-toity, upperclass can afford to participate? --THEN he went on to say something ridiculous and maybe he felt he needed to since he is under contract to FOX.
And, that was that the conservatives don't like their candidates extra-curriculiar activities to be compared to the elistist's John Kerry windsurfing.

        Cost of Dancing Horse $500,000.00
Cost of a new windsurfer $1,800.00

Go for the touchdown, Mr. President.

As Clint Eastwood said at the SuperBowl, its halftime, America!

      • Cynthia L.

Thanks to Clint Eastwood for that inspiring message during the Superbowl. "IT SENT TINGLES DOWN MY LEGS" to steal a quote from Chris Matthews! Ha! Sorry you other Republicans thought it was kiss-assy 'cause he didn't bash our country – kicking and screaming and pulling his hair out like the some of the people on here do.

        GO AMERICA!!

Great job Obama take your message to the people rather than Mittens who took his overseas and caused all these blunders. Obama has saved this country from another great depression despite congress not passing any of the jobs bills that was proposed.

The new Quinnipiac poll figures show Obama ahead in Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

According to Howell Raines, a former executive editor of the NEW YORK TIMES – the Republicans are playing THE WHINING SWEEPSTAKES. Accusing the Dems of using the same tactics they've been using all along, starting in the Republican Primaries – "Romney crying foul over "Chicago Style Politics" is that of a suburban prep schooler who has wandered into a playground where the mean city boys took his football and twisted his arm really hard."

If Ohio were already a lock he wouldn't be returning again so soon. Obama has his own pollsters that he pays good money for, he certainly isn't going to rely on CNN or some other poll.

    August 1, 2012 at 1:30 pm |
    • Cynthia L.

One very important Republican in Ohio is fed up with the party of OBSTRUCTION and is resigning. House of Representative member Steve LaTourette, who has 18 years service to his country is calling it quits over the GOPs resistence to compromise, SAYING, " I won't hand over my wallet and I won't hand over my voting card."
He is tired of fundraising for the party to elect whoever they say AND he won't vote in lockstep with them on everything they put forward. Saying that serving the American people in the way they need to be served means coming to agreements on what is best for the country.
ONE LESS REPUBLICAN STATESMAN – sorry to see you go, my friend.
