Quiet day at the White House

The President is back in the White House this morning after spending the weekend at Camp David with his family. According to his schedule he will "attend meetings." Unfortunately they have not specified what kind of meetings.

At this point there is no briefing scheduled. We will update this if this changes.

It's been QUIET at the White House for most of obama's Presidency ... since he has spent most of his time campaigning ... fund raising ... playing golf ... everything but doing his job.

Lionel, two things wrong with your statement. One, academia tends to be very Liberal. Two, it has nothing to do with voter suppression. The university only declined a speaking invitation. How, exactly, is this voter suppression?

Adding to the other comments, they didn't even decline his request. They just declined the specific location, because it would force them to cancel a bunch of classes on Day 2 of the semester. They offered him a sporting arena to speak at, but the Obama campaign declined.

Gas prices back to $4 a gallon, up 7% in August. once again exposing the myth of Obama's green enerygy policies.
National debt nearing $6 Trillion on Obama's watch, with only tube art and worthless stock to show for it.
Housing foreclosures back on th rise, even though interest rates are at historic lows.
Afganistan falling back into Taliban control.
Syrian children being murdered by Iranians thugs.

And Issac about to have a Tea Party in cajun town.., while Obama rests from his weekend trip.

I am sure Republicans are cheering and wishing for failure. Republicans = American Taliban

Why don't talk about all the Republican opposition to Obama and their racist attempt to discredit this great man.

Where are the job bills that the Republican congress was supposed to pass.

      August 27, 2012 at 9:40 am |
      • About what we expect

Right. Obama is a great man and everybody should do everything he says.. because you like the color of his skin. Do you actually think there's anybody in this country that doesn't realize that it's people like YOU that are the real racists in this country?

The senate republican bills are sitting on harry reids desk.

So ANY opposition is racism? Really? So I imagine since YOU oppose Romney and Ryan, YOU are a racist?

        August 27, 2012 at 12:06 pm |
    • Caramon

30 jobs bills passed in the House are still sitting on Harry Reid's desk. Just because someone opposes policy does not make them racist. Claiming someone is racist simply based on Const. right to disagree shows complete lack of tolerance. Jimmy Carter once said anyone that disagrees with the President is racist. Later Carter then disagreed with unmanned drone attacks. Does this make Carter a racist?

Nothing like having to rest all day at the WH after a long weekend of rest at Camp David... We have us a real winner in the WH. Economy sucks and the prez vacations and campaigns and does nothing more, puts everything off until after the election, just like a true leader. NOT!

  10. About what we expect

And yet another day where Obama doesn't do anything to benefit the American people. More than half a year since he met with his own "jobs council" which should tell us exactly where his priorities aren't..

Because of liberals, many people, especially politicians, have to be extremely careful when they refer to a group of people who are not white (or do I have to say caucasion?). People can use the word wHiTie, but I can't use other terms to refer to non-whites. Why is that allowed?

Considering how much time obama has actually spent in the WH, does he still need a guide to tell him where his office is?
