OMG – The prez has a full 30 minutes of work passing out the the credentials! Im sure he will be exhausted after that. Good news he has the full afternoon off to play with the family dog, play some hoops & take a nap before the kiddos get home. I'll give him this much, this is the most work he has done in weeks according to his schedule.

The Republican Loonies are at it again trolling around on CNN. Faux news does not allow comments.

Obama has done a great job bringing this country back from the brink which the Republicans left us in.

Two wars, tax cuts for the wealths and an economy in ruins. This has cost us trillions of dollars.
Now Repubtards are complaining that Obama did not clean up their mess fast enough. We are not going take it anymore.

Paradoxical Quote of The Day From Ben Stein:

"Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen."

Now add this, "Many of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens."

Think about it when you vote in November !

When you investigate Obama online, you will find sanitized websites ... or simply missing information. For example, Obama swore alliegnience to the 'Black Values' policy, at the jeremiah Wright church, Obama attended ro TWENTY FIVE YEARS ... where Obama pledged to provide all opportunities to Black people, ahead of all other races. Also, when running for the senate, Obama promoted Black voter registration, only to cancel out their votes, by disqualifying his opponent (A Black Female) on a technicality. Today, Video Tape reveals countless Obama 2008 campaign promises, which were broken.

Too many of you "Latino's" who don't know beans about this country will vote for Obama because you fall for his lies and promises. Ask a bunch of black brothers how much better off they are today than they were 4 years ago..... but you'll be in the same boat soon (on the way back to TJ, I hope).

Lionel – Repubs tell the truth. Libs make stuff up until something sticks then they run with it. I have to admit, Obama's Chicago Political Machine is one of the most ruthless and effective I have seen. If all Obama had to do was campaign he would be very effective. Unfortunately for all of us he may get back in – especially given that Romney can't make a case for himself – and he should be able to. Romney is without a doubt the best person for the job, but with the media in the tank for Obama and Romney not being able to highlight the many messes Obama has created – it is not looking good for the right side...

        September 19, 2012 at 7:24 pm |
      • John

One more thing. If you libs are buying the whole "movie caused the uproar in the middle east" I have some swamp land I would like to sell you. Reports are coming out from the Middle East now that clearly state that this 9-11 attack was planned months in advance. But, as we all know – the truth doesn't fit what Obama and his people are saying – so the press will run with the non-truth.

At the Democratic convention, Michelle told the fabricated dishonest story of how poor Barack grew up in such poverty. The only thing missing was violins. Now, we know that it was all B.S.. In reality, Barack attended an expensive upscale school in Indonesia ... his grandmother was a vice president of a bank in Hawaii, where he attended an expensive upscale school ... and after that he lived in the expensive upscale part of Chicago, while working and visiting the poor sections, as a community organizer. All this fabricated dishonest B.S. ... and, you gullible Obama stooges embrace it, and blindly defend your 'Dear Leader' ... Obama is a liar, who is destroying America. You Obama stooges, love Obama more than you love America. America is more important than Obama. Obama is expendable and replaceable ... America is not. Save America ... LATINOS FOR OBAMA ??? ... Obama doesn't care about the Latinos ... you are just being USED and pandered to for your votes. If Obama cared about Latinos, he would have reformed immigration ... like he promised 4 years ago. Besides Lionel, you may be Latino, but you sure don't speak for ALL Latinos. I have Latino friends and family, and you don't represent them !!! The reason Latinos, and other immigrants have flocked to the United States. is for the very opportunities and freedoms which Obama is eliminating. If the immigrants coming to the United States know how to create freedoms and opportunities, why haven't they elected leaders and created such policies in the countries they are running away from ??? Obama is turning the United States into the same kind of third world country that immigrants are running away from.

The irony is that millions of immigrants from south of our border ... and throughout the world, have fled to the United States for freedoms and opportunities ... and, Obama, here in America, is consistently disposing of our objective free press ... our entrepreneurship, free enterprise, and capitalism ... our government with checks and balances ... and our government with more than one political party. Therefore, thanks to Obama, all the things that immigrants are coming her for, are becoming like the counties they fled from.

Well I think Romney has cooked his goose...he just brought to light the dirty little secret that 4000 millionaires are included in that 47% who pay no taxes...there goes his campaign funding..

      September 19, 2012 at 4:59 pm |
      • Caramon

Jean, do we know exactly who those 4000 millionaires are? A couple of years ago it was shown that many seniors who saved over the years are now millionaires. This is not the same as annual income. A person can be a millionaire and still earn no money.

        September 19, 2012 at 5:15 pm |
      • jean2009

I can tell you as a senior, I don't care how we earn it. If you earned it...it is taxable. Doesn't matter if it is an IRA or just saved securities. However they probably are writing it off as investment losses...a loop hole that needs to be tightened. Really you have millionaires sitting back writing off income a sizabel income, and you have people working their tales off to make $50,000 a yr. paying 68% of the tax...give me a break.

        September 19, 2012 at 5:30 pm |
      • Caramon

The difference is that people could have a net worth over 1 million and still not earn any more income. The are still millionaires but would not pay income tax. I believe the 47 percent reference was about income tax. The other difference is that money earned 2 years ago is not taxed every year after. Consider Oprah. If she did not earn any money this year, she would not pay income tax and be part of the 47 percent. Yet she is still a millionaire.

Do you actually know anyone who made 50K and paid 68 percent in taxes?

I agree that there are people not paying who should pay. GE comes to mind. How about Tim Geitner. That is why the tax code needs to be rewritten. It still does not identify who some of the 4000 millionaires are. It could very well be my parents.

    Meanwhile.., out here in Reality.

Obama is borrowing heavily, $3.5 billion every day and manipulating the dollar in order to pay the progressive bills. Greek economic madness poured onto our childrens American dream in a time of peace. And for what?

Right now, our 4 yr old progressively liberal budget, is spending a Trillion dollars a year on entitlements - other than Social Security and Medicare. 46 million Americans are receiving food stamps. An Obama record. Nine million Americans are now on federal disability, another Obama record. And more than 100 million Americans, 35% of the population, are living in a household receiving some kind of welfare.

In reality, Obama is a polarizing figure who has divided America and added 6 Trillion dollars to our debt in the process.

Why has our debt kept rising???
Why are our embassys being over thrown??
Why does he try to split America?
Why doesnt he do something about creating jobs ???
Why does he go TV instead conduct himself like a real pres???
Why does cover up fast & furious???
Why doesnt it matter he does drugs ???
Why doesnt matter that he is a racist??? (b-4 ans u must read his book)
Why does he have Holter controlling the biased media ???
Why does he continue to talk down about 1% while he runs around with Clooney jay-z etc ??? (all 1%ers)
why doesnt he keep his word Ill close gito, ill cut deficet in half or not run again ???

        Read his book

        September 19, 2012 at 1:45 pm |
      • Caramon

Lionel, I may have to agree that the President is not a racist. However, I have been reading his book. He spent a great deal of his youth and early adulthood in the three big cities especially south side Chicago. The first half of the book at least makes continued references to how others are racist. It is a big country and 3 cities are not necessarily representative of the whole country.

Whether or not the country is moving forward is not conclusive. Economic growth is almost nonexistent. Population growth is outgrowing job growth. The only thing that everyone agrees on is the deficit is growing at a remarkable rate. I agree that we can be civil. However, getting along does not mean giving up and follow the current administration unquestionably. We not only have a right but a responsibility to questions our leaders. Remember they work for us.

      September 19, 2012 at 1:20 pm |
    • Caramon

So Jean, if I understand correctly, popularity and election does not necessarily determine whether a president did a good job or not. At least this is true in Reagan's case but not FDR. Do you understand my confusion? Why doesn't something that applies to FDR not also apply to Reagan? Did you not say that FDR was reelected four times so he must have done something right? I suspect that had amendment 22 not been added, Reagan would have won a third term.

In addition, we are willing to accept a huge increase in the deficit today in order to get the economy moving. Why then do we not also accept that deficit spending was also necessary in 1980. Unemployment reached a peak of 10.8 percent and inflation was over 13 percent. Reagan deficits equaled 4.2 percent of the GDP. Currently it is close to 10 percent.

47% isn't half so you're wrong on that count and it's true that they don't pay federal income taxes. It's no secret that Obama wants as many as possible on government benefits to perpetuate his voting block. He's said many times he's all in favor of redistribution. Obviously Lionel they don't realize that:
A:.It took from 1929 unil after WWII (end in 1945) to start the recovery from the Great Depression, and actually the 1950's were the era of the recovery. Does anyone but me remember "Happy Days". When we were smart enough not to think first of austerity as th solution, but were willing to open the national purse strings and pump money into our infrastructure.
B.) At that point in history, we didn't have teapotty whiners...heaven knows we were in debt then too.
C.) We had the good sense to retrain returning veterans...which was a very high percentage of the male work force through the GI Bill benefits.
D.) Dwight Eisenhower would not have fit in todays' GOP he could hardly stand Barry Goldwater...actually thought him the ruin of the Republican party.
So you are here we are listening to a bunch of whiners ("I've got mine tough for you!) who want mommie whisk us back to a bygone era that actually never existed.
Not only that it is now compounded with the worst forms of racizm...plain and simple it is evident.

Jean, Many believe that the road to recovery took so long during the Great Depression because of the FDR policies. This is something that will be debated for many years to come. There are several differences between the WWII veterans and the veterans today. Many of the WWII veterans did not have more than an eighth grade education, my father included. His retraining included 4 years of high school education completed in 1 year. Today, military service includes college education. I can tell you that he didn't like FDR.

You talk about teapotty whiners. I find this ironic since we also had Wall Street whiners many who went beyond simple protest to damage. How about a group of teachers with average salary over 70K wining for more benefits and salary claiming it would improve schools. I would be more understanding if the protests were about better text books and facilities.

At 77, I doubt you were old enough to remember much of the Great Depression. However, I will confess I could be wrong. You were certainly old enough to remember the war.

Caramon I would stack my Dad's eigth grade education for private sector job skills up against some people with the training provided by the military for non-military occupations today. As a matter of fact his job skill no longer takes an apprenticeship but a degree.

If anything makes a child more alert to their surroundings or aware of world events, that is at the very young age of 3 1/2 losing one's mother... when that happens you grow up a lot faster than other children who can actually remain children. Especially so when you are the oldest of 3 children.

Amazing Franklin Roosevelt must have done something right after all he was elected 3 times. Because he provided not only hope but economic help in the form of job creation. The dignity of work that put people who were living in Hooverville's back to work You should have heard my father's rants about Herbert Hoover. The fact is investing in the American people and American infrastructure is never a waste...that is why Eisenhower whose post WWII programs built the interstate system couldn't stand Goldwater. Eisenhower saw Goldwater as the distruction of the Republican party.

Well said Jean. I would agree that even an eighth grade education was pretty substantial then. Imagine today if a person would even attempt to complete a high school education while working in a single year. This is one reason your father would belong to our greatest generation. I wasn't referring to military training. I believe that many who join the services do so for many reasons including college education. I personally known some members of the military who served after graduating from college. However, for many, training likely includes re-entry into civilian life. So, in part, we may partially agree.

Did FDR do something right? I am sure he did. The question wasn't whether FDR performed well as a President, but whether his policy ended the Depression. Today, I believe it is still under debate.

However, by the same account, this would also mean that Ronald Reagan did something right. If I remember, you didn't like Reagan. He won 49 out of 50 states for reelection in 1984.

My apologies for your loss at such an early age. I know this must have been very difficult. Hopefully I did not affend.

Reagan was only a repeat of what Goldwater wanted to be....wrong course. Tripled the deficit and while trying to bankrupt Russia he did the same for this country. Same greedy suck up theory that decimates the middle class as Harding. . Reagan was not good for the country and neither was his spawn George W.

So, since we don't approve of our president and his policies and the damage he has done to our country, we are haters? Surprised you didn't call us racist too, that one seems to be a popular term for the Obama supporters as well......

Exactly what does Obama need a break from? He screwed up the mid-east, ruined the economy and added $5trillion in new debt. I sure wouldn't call that work but CNN and the lefties will worship him no matter what.

Go on Frank but, historical dates, truth and facts can't be changed no matter how much you think you can brainwash yourself or deny the facts and reality. Historians will and do debunk your version of denial.

The biased, partisan, main stream media has consistently promoted and sold Obama to the American public ... while trashing and demonizing his opponents. Along with the brain washed Obama zombies, they have catapulted Obama into the role of 'Fuhrer' ... and of 'Dear Leader'. The Obama Stooges love Obama more than they love America. Obama is destroying America. America is more important than Obama. Obama is expendable and replaceable ... America is not. Save America ... Elect Romney and Ryan in November !!!

Sheesh you sure are delusional. All the dates correspond to Obama's time in office, I know you'd like to revise history but remember that we all just lived through it. MSNBC must be all you watch, I watch it once in a while for a laugh but you must actually believe everything they say! Huff post and Daily Kos are not real news outlets, you DO realize that, don't you?

        A. The Bush 2009 federal budget year started on October 1, 2008 and ended September 30, 2009. Need I say more?
Gasoline all time national high price was June/July 2008 @ $4.28 per gallon.
TARP bailout was signed October 3, 2008 by George W.Bush.
Solyndra loan process started on Dec. 28, 2006, On Dec. 4, 2008, the Department of Energy set the final paperwork for the loan to be approved on Jan.15, 2009...four days before President Obama took office. you can look up the dates for that in the online timeline at energy.gov Timeline of DOE’s review of the Solyndra Loan Guarantee Application.

No delusion here just possession of factual dates.

Didin't the Conress pass that budget, Jean? Last thing I heard was a President submits budgets and the Congress approves them! The two houses of Congress were led by Democrats back then! Somehow you left that part out! !

        September 20, 2012 at 11:24 am |
      • jean2009

Steveo ....the President submits the budget, congress approves the final budget...but here comes the part you have forgotten . A President can either sign it if he approves...or refuse to sign it and send it back when he does not.

        September 20, 2012 at 11:54 am |
      • Steveo

The fact remains The Dem led Congress APPROVED that budget and Bush signed what the DEM led Congress approved! Yet somehow, Bush alone is the culprit? Not Reid, not Pelosi? Really?

      • Steveo

Another thing Jean. If Bush was responsible for gas prices then, Obama is responsible for gas prices now! I always understood gas prices rose and fell based on conditions outside the control the any president. Which is it? If we can discuss Bush gas prices, let's also discuss Obama unemployment! rates!

        September 20, 2012 at 1:09 pm |
      • jean2009

You seem to have forgotten Bush had his hands on the budget twice...he submitted it and signed it...plus he ran his wars off budget....the biggest part of the deficit.

        September 20, 2012 at 5:22 pm |
      • Steveo

ALL with help from the DEMS! Again, the Dem -led house AND Senate APPROVED the budgets! Remember? Probably not because then you would have to admit Dem culpability! Why can't you just admit the Dems are also culpable?

Where are the tough questions about the Libyan assault? What intelligence did we have and when? What was done to respond? Who's behind the attacks? Were people really paid to demonstrate to create diversion from the terrorists killing our Ambassador and creating false blame? Why is Obama delegating during a crisis while he hob-knobs with the rich and famous in Vegas? How long has Obama's campaign had the "47%" video and were they waiting to release it when they needed the distraction the most? If so, what are they distracting from? Perhaps all the questions asked here?

Talk abot the truth behind 47% & O's redistributionplan. I had a client in my office the other day & he was complaining about his insurance comapny would replace his roof because it was leaking. When I asked him if the roof was damaged or worn out, he said it was damaged by the rain cause everytime it rained it would wash the pebbles off a little more. I told him that sounded like normal wear & tear – he said yeah, but it needed to be replaced. I asked how old the roof was & it was 25 years old. When I told him not insurance policies dont cover roofs that are just worn out & old, he said "wait until Obama gets reelected, he'll make the insurance companies change that, because the poor cant afford to replace roofs & that should be the responsibility of insurance comapanies & Obama will make them replace it". 47% rely on the govt to provide for them & will never change their minds – why should he try to change their minds. – True example. Go Obama – keep getting people hooked on the govt like heroin

"hooked on the govt like heroin", heck, Obama sold the stuff in Hawaii. How else did he afford to pay for college, or did the government pay for it because he was a foreign exchange student?

In Dreams of My Father, in 1995, Obama wrote. "I blew a few smoke rings, remembering those years. Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it."

He is such a cool cat.
