Secretary of State Hillary Clinton goes further than any other Obama administration official — including her UN ambassador, Susan Rice — in suggesting deadly attack on US Consulate in Libya involved the Al Qaeda affiliate in North Africa.

The tax evader, draft dodger, "I don't care about 47% of Americans" will never be commander in chief. Period.

VP BIDEN ask for FIVE deferments and got them and look he is VP, so will you also call him a draft dodger??????

      • jean2009

@LIzzie I doubt very much if Joe Biden was actively picketing "FOR" the war. Romeny was in effect saying: "I've got my 4 deferments but you poor boob should go die for me." That is called being a "Chicken Hawk".

I SAW THAT PIC OF YOUNG ROMNEY ON THE BEACH OF FRANCE WHERE SO MANY AMERICAN SOLDIERS DIED DURING WW2. THIS TELLS ME JUST HOW OUT OF TOUCH MITT ROMNEY WAS THEN AS HE IS NOW, HIS CALLOUS DISREGARD OF OTHERS LESS FORTUNATE THAN HE IS PART OF HIS CHARACTER AND POLITICS. HOW CAN YOU BE IN FAVOR OF A WAR YOU HAD NO INTENTION OF PARTICIPATING IN A DRAFT ERA? /SMH

You will never in the league of the President or Hilary Clinton. Don't even try.

Military: The administration thanks the troops for their service by failing to comply with a law requiring that it help soldiers deployed overseas cast ballots in their home states.

The administration has taken various states to court to block voter ID laws on the grounds it will disenfranchise voters. But it has no qualms about the disenfranchisement of military voters overseas through its failure to comply with and enforce the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) Act, passed by Congress in 2009 and signed into law by President Barack Obama.

Please, Republicans are the ones trying to supress the votes by these new Suppresion laws.

They do not accept Veterans Cards, Student Cards, Social Security Cards. You need a driver's license that shows your address. Not all seniors and minorities drive especially in the cities.

The most concerning thing, I think, is the use of taxpayer funds to actually abet his re-election,” Gray, who worked in the Eisenhower administration and for other Republican presidents, said in an interview with TheDC on Wednesday.

This is just pure RED BULL.

Robme is the one who has robbed the American people by not paying his fair share of taxes.

What about all those millions he has stached away in the Swiss, Caymans and Bahamas. He gives millions to the Mormon church and in return they contribute millions to his campaign. This is a sweet deal.

        September 27, 2012 at 11:35 am |
      • Caramon

Lionel, I could not find one article that shows the Mormon church donated to Romney's campaign. Maybe you could enlighten me and provide a reference. Then maybe your statement would be a little more believable. Of course it is the money Romney earned through investment that was donated.

However, how much money went to the green energy companies that filed bankruptcy? How many of the company executives donated to the Obama campaign? Difference is this was our money.

Are you the one who determines what other's fair share is? Romney paid capital gains on investment not income. There is a difference.

NEWSDAY – The Republican Party will do whatever it can to win - even if it means disenfracising certain voters. TO DATE, 11 States have enacted Voter ID Laws ALL DESIGNED BY REPUBLICAN LEGISLATURES AND GOVENORS. The GOP is also encouraging "VOTER VIGILANTE" groups to "Monitor polling stations to prevent fraud" which means intimadating minorites who have every right to vote EVEN THOUGH Republicans haven't been able to document a rise in voter fraud in recent years. Manufactuing a problem to give a patina of legitimacy to their efforts – And, DIEBOLD VOTING MACHINES???

A party that has to cheat to win by cheating the voting rights of the American people ISN'T WORTH SQUAT.
They can't win without the suppression of voters and they know it. If for any other reason NOT TO VOTE REPUBLICAN – this is it. Until they change their ways I will not pull the lever in their favor.

None of the initial explanations offered by the White House and State Department since the assault on the Benghazi consulate has held up. First the Administration blamed protests provoked by an amateurish anti-Islam clip posted on YouTube. Cue Susan Rice, the U.N. Ambassador and leading candidate for Secretary of State in a second Obama term: "What happened initially was that it was a spontaneous reaction . . . as a consequence of the video, that people gathered outside the embassy and then it grew very violent."

      September 27, 2012 at 11:29 am |
      • DEcember 2012

SO WHAT IS YOUR EXPLANATION? THE BUTLER DID IT?

SUSAN RICE, A UN AMBASSADOR IS HARDLY IN A POSITION TO PROVIDE ACCURATE RESULTS OF AN INVESTIGATION THAT IS ONGOING SO SHE WENT WITH HER OPINIONS. AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT IS UP TO THE FBI TO REACH A CONCLUSION.

        December,

When a high ranking official, such as Amb Rice makes a statement, how many people expect or believe it to be the OFFICIAL administrative stance? BTW did she use the words "my opinion? I don't believe she did! Folks have fussed about Romney and Ryan speaking out but now Rice simply gave an "opinion"/ Keep stretching, my friend. You'll be 10 ft tall by tomorrow!

WE HAVE MANY HIGH RANKING OFFICIALS, WE MUST UNDERSTAND WHAT THEIR CAPACITIES ARE. AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT IS A VERY HEALTHY THING TO QUESTION AND BE SKEPTIC BUT ALSO BE MORE INFORMED OF WHAT THESE OFFICIALS DO. IF YOU THINK YOU WERE SOMEHOW 'FOOLED' BY THE ADMINISTRATION THEN SO BE IT, I DOUBT I CAN CHANGE YOUR MIND ABOUT THAT.

I LOOK BACK GRIMLY AT 9/11 WHEN WE ALL WAITED PATIENTLY FOR JUSTICE AND TRUSTED THE PRESIDENT TO FOLLOW THROUGH. NOW, EITHER BECAUSE IT IS AN ELECTION YEAR OR IT IS SOMETHING ELSE, THAT PATIENCE IS NOT THERE FROM THE RIGHT. AT THE VERY ONSET, THE RESPECT AND DIGNITY WAS NOT THERE EITHER – POLITICS CAME FIRST TO THE UTTER DISGRACE OF US ALL.

COLOR ME OLD FASHIONED, BUT I WILL TRUST OUR GOVERNMENT AND OBAMA'S TRACK RECORD FOR CARRYING OUT JUSTICE SO THESE INITIAL REPORTS MEAN NOTHING IN THE END. I WILL TRUST THE GUY WHO HAS DECIMATED AL QAEDA'S LEADERSHIP THESE PAST 4 YEARS.

It took the Repubtards 8 years to cause of the greatest economic mess since the great depression and they started two wars which has cost us trillions. Oh, and they also give away trillions in tax cuts to the 1%.

And now they are complaining that Obama did not clean up their mess fast enough.

I for one know R-money is NOT going to repeal any of the parts of the Affordable Health Care Act that cost average people money. His only aim is to so neuter the benefits by allowing providers, insurers, and the clergy to keep sticking it to the average citizen. Actually the Massachusetts plan has a mandate. The Massachusetts plan is the basic same plan....both are based on the Ted Kennedy-Richard Nixon plan.

We need health care reform. As a citizen who has been through the system with an ill elderly husband, with a chronic progressive disease....all I can say is thank heavens for medicare and a good secondary insurer. As for hurting small business "my eye" many owners with illnesses that are expensive to cover or considered pre-existing are looking forward to 2014 when they can buy into large insurance pool.

Letting the individual states make health decisions is not the right answer or thing for all Americans...in a mobile society it will not work, unless all states are equal. When one state offers more than another then ill patients will cross state lines for better service...therefore bankrupting the states with the best coverage....and we know how that will work out on a national scale. ...NOT!

"When one state offers more than another then ill patients will cross state lines for better service...therefore bankrupting the states with the best coverage...."

In the Navy you would think the Command Structure is in charge. Wrong! It is the Mess Cooks that run the Navy. Jean2009 would make a good Mess Cook/Secetary of the Treasury.

      • jean2009

Ah...but you forget Romneycare has a mandate...something a lot of states would probably not be required by law to implement even though they should. Requiring citizens to purchase insurance is necessary to cut costs. Finally Romney wants to call it a mandate in Massachusetts...but SCOTUS calls it a tax. Do semantics really make a difference? I doubt it.

Fact is: I sat not very long ago through a doctor's rant about how the state where he had formerly practiced, at one time had a state wide health system that basically cared for all citizens. But, the program was discontinued because people from surrounding states kept coming for care. Do you think Sarah Palin was fibbing when she said her family went to Canada for free health care?

jerry exlax- Live in your little delusional world..but No President Carter is not ranked in the bottom five on the Sienna College poll list, but George W. Bush is....along with Andrew Johnson; Warren G. Harding; James Buchanan; and William Pierce. BTW- President Clinton ranked 13th...and on the current course he may even rank higher the next poll.

As for that economic mess in 2001 there was none...until after 9/11. The real economic mess started in 2002-2005 when all the wrong options were selected..

George W. Bush probably had more warnings about "imminent attack" than most presidents and ignored them. What about the August 6, 2001 brief warning "Bin Laden Determined to Strike U.S." Everyone seems to forget not only to ignore warnings, but to not understand the building brought down being the "World Trade Center" and the impact that would have on world trade. Well hello! Who let the bin Laden family leave the U.S.?

"The Cost of September 11" puts the dollar cost at about $2 Trillion which doesn't include the human cost,or the future unseen costs. – The Institute for the Analysis of Global Security

I dont know what he called them, however that is not the issue. The taxes arent involed with the health care. Just a thought you might want to read it before making assumptions. The property taxes is what really is scary.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO ARGUE ABOUT THIS STUFF YOU BETTER BE MORE PRECISE. IF THERE ARE INDEED TAXES, THEN JUST LIKE ANYTHING IN OUR SWISS CHEESE TAXATION SYSTEM THERE WILL BE BREAKS, LOOPHOLES AND EXCEPTIONS. MAYBE WE SHOULD WAIT FOR THE LAW TO BE FULLY ENACTED BEFORE ARGUING ABOUT IT JUST LIKE THE SUPREME COURT SUGGESTED.

Romney called his a "Mandate" you are mandated you pay for a insurance premium or you pay a = penatly fee.
SCOTUS for the Affordable Care Act allows you are mandated to pay for an insurance premium or you pay a = penalty tax.

In either case the cost is the same.

        @rosco

Let's see..... if I earn over $200,000 and file as a single tax-payer, or $250,000 and file jointly, and if I earn the income from wages ....you will probably will not be affected by the 3.8% surtax considering that there is a tax free $500,000 exclusion on the sell of a property before the surtax kicks in.. You may be affected a little more if earnings is from capital gains or sell of a second home or rental property.

Say you and your wife have a $350,000 income and you sell your home at a $525,000 profit...lol!
$500,000 of that profit is automatically eliminated from the balance of your profit. (you do understand we are talking about not the sell of the home, but the profit earned over deductions for improvements, and actual base value....in other words selling a $1 million dollar valued property for $1,525,000 would create that situation. You eliminate $500,000 of the profit and all that is left is the $25,000. This raises your base AGI taxable income from $350,000 to $375,000. You eliminate the $250,000 and basically you owe $950. for the 3.8% health care tax. this is all spelled out at the...... Health-care law 3.8 % surtax will not affect many home owners.....

*Please tell me just how many people do you think this applies to....and if it affects you should I really feel your pain?
Or,should I feel the pain for those who do not have and cannot presently afford health care insurance?

Yes....I pretty much understand the law, and I don't see it as a problem for the 99%. I will gladly pay $950 dollars if I can sell my condo at a $525,000 profit.

      mcskadittle,
It was Franklin Deleno Roosevelt's New Deal and Lyndon Baines Johnson's Great Society that was supposed to fix everything that got us into the Trouble we are in today. President Kennedy said: THINK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU, BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY. The only thing he forgot to add was send money. Dammit you forgot to send the money!! So get cracking and send the money!!

      September 28, 2012 at 10:32 am |
      • jean2009

And that is the reason why Franklin Roosevelt has consistently ranked #1 or 2 on the Sienna College Poll, and why Lyndon Johnson outranks your god Raygun.

        September 28, 2012 at 1:33 pm |
      • jean2009

        Kennedy ranks 11th; L. Johnson ranks 16th; R. Reagan ranks 18th.

You know Jean, the Sienna college poll is not the only rating for the Presidents. There are many including some that rank Ronald Reagan as high as number 6. One conducted by historians ranks Ronald Reagan as 10 and Bill Clinton as 15. The only thing most of these polls agree on is that Buchanan was last. Even polls conducted by historians are tainted with opinion.

Let us face the fact that you will never agree with Conservative policies. In all fairness, I will never agree with Democratic policies. Therefore, the best we can do is agree to disagree.

Sources confirm to Fox News that the Obama administration knew from day one that the Sept. 11 attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans was an act of terror — directly challenging the administration's 'spontaneous reaction' explanation.

      • Steveo

I would rather they said, "we are investigating" rather than blame it on a video and deny what most us beliieved ! Instaed of flat out denying the fact it was terrorism, how about say we cannot rule it out? That way yiou don't come off as lying!

        September 27, 2012 at 1:42 pm |
      • DEcember 2012

SO WHEN THEY BLAMED IT ON THE VIDEO, DID THEY SAY THE INVESTIGATION IS OVER, GO HOME NOTHING MORE TO SEE HERE? NO, THE INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING WHETHER THEY SPELLED IT OUT FOR YOU OR NOT.

        September 27, 2012 at 1:57 pm |
      • Steveo

I am saying, blaming the video was easy. Denying the possibly of terrorism was wrong! Denying 9-11 had anything to do with it was also wrong! yet that was the FIRST thing they did! You talk about an investigation yet a video was declared the sole reason without an investigation and the possibility of terrorism was also denied before any investigation. THAT is what I saying! yeah I know an investigation is ongoing but that did not seem to prevent earlly and nonsensical announcements from the administration now did it? Remember how the Embassy made announcements and how the WH backtracked. That happened BEFORE any investigation!

In fairness, the 24 news cycle is not helpful here either! Everybody wants to break a story even when the facts are not fully know and we eat it al up! So what happens,? We get filler and opinion and we eat that up as well. The problem is too many fail to know the difference between the two! just like on this blog, little fact, much opinion (me included). Nothing wrong with that as long as people know the difference!! I am not confident many do!

I CANNOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE BUT I ALSO THINK THESE CONVERSATIONS CAN GET US TO SEE POINTS AND OPINIONS WE CAN DISCUSS TO FURTHER GET TO SOME KIND OF TRUTH. THAT MAY JUST BE WISHFUL THINKING ON MY PART BUT WE CAN ALWAYS AGREE TO DISAGREE. NICE CHATTING WITH YOU STEVEO.

I THINK WHAT IS LOST IN ONLY THESE EARLY REPORTING IS THE KEY PART OF WHETHER THIS ATTACK COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED. I THINK THE PENTAGON IS STARTING TO ANNOUNCE PRIOR KNOWLEDGE AND IF IT IS PROVEN THAT THE ADMINISTRATION FAILED TO ACT ON THIS PRIOR KNOWLEDGE THEN I AM THERE WITH YOU ON CONDEMNING OBAMA ON SUCH A FAILURE. WITH ALL THE POLITICS THAT HAS SURROUNDED THIS INCIDENT IT IS DIFFICULT TO FIGURE OUT WHAT'S REAL BUT NOW WE ARE STARTING TO SEE SOME SUBSTANCE.

I REALLY HOPE THE TRUTH COMES OUT BEFORE THE ELECTION BECAUSE I DO NOT THINK IT IS FAIR FOR OBAMA TO ESCAPE THE CONSEQUENCES OF A POSSIBLE FAILURE IN PROTECTING OUR PEOPLE IN LIBYA WITH PRIOR ACTIONABLE KNOWLEDGE OF AN ATTACK. IT IS UNFAIR THAT IT HAS BECOME A POLITICAL BLUDGEON FOR THE RIGHT BUT IT IS TOTALLY WRONG FOR THE TRUTH TO BE DELAYED OR SUPPRESSED FOR THE POLITICAL CONVENIENCE OF THE LEFT. I REALLY HOPE I AM WRONG ABOUT THIS BUT ANY EVIDENCE OF NEGLIGENCE AND SUPPRESSION THEREOF ON THE PART OF THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION IS UNACCEPTABLE AND WILL CHANGE MY VOTE.

Hi Steveo. Hi December. I think you two had some great conversation. Thank you. Hope you didn't mind my listening (reading) in. But it was definitely worthwhile.

        Decemeber,

If the shoe were on the other foot, the left would do the same thing! That is the nature of politics. I would not call all comments and questions a political bludgeon although some are. I too hope the truth comes out as well not for politics (although there could and should be political ramifictions) but for the sake of those who lost loved ones, for the sake of this country and so we do not allow this to happen again!

@steveo, Its not that Obam didnt admit he was wrong (again), Its that he flat out lied. He knew and made up a dog and pony show. I wonder what happened to the transparency he pledged??

And whose word are you taking on that Fran Townsend's...a previous Bush era employee and GOP operative.

My question to Fran Townsend is: "Why didn't she and George Bush take the pre-9/11 warnings seriously?

Plus ... Who in their right mind would take any comments she makes at this time worth listening to?

I read a lot more than one source and listen to several reports, and I ask myself which have an axe to grind?

the obama administration is reminding me of the clinton and carter administrations. Clinton's foreign policy resulted in the attack on the USS Cole by al-Qaeda, the first trade center bombing, and then the 9/11 attack by al-Qaeda. By the time the Bush team took over from the clinton children the military and intel agencies were a mess, remember clintons staff trashing the white house? Well, here we are again. Think back to the Carer administration when the out going administration warned them to NOT trust the Russians in negotiations...carter arrogantly ignored them, made agreements with them, and then they invaded Afghanistan...Carter couldn't believe it...well last week Carter told his grandson "atta boy" for seeking out the anti-Romney U Tube video(that was missing 2 minuets). These leftist morons just don't function with a full deck. We need adult leadership NOW!

The Bush administration was given as many as 7 warnings, some as early as May 2001 about an intended al-Qaeda terrorist attack. Frankly all he would have needed to do was read an article in an American magazine for August 2001. And according to the New York Times Bush received a full CIA briefing on August 6, 2001. The New York Times on Sept, 10, 2012 had an article covering that fact the day before the last ceremony. What! Isn't the New York Times owned by Murdoch? So your premise doesn't fly it not only stinks it sinks like lead.

What you can't take is the fact that George W. Bush was a huge economic failure for this country....on whose watch 3,000 citizens dies on 9/11, and another 4,852 + died due to the fact that he thought it more profitable to send ground troops into two ill- advised wars (one of which had nothing to do with al-Qeada) instead of using covert operations or drones. Mostly to fund his war profiteers the exact people R-money was in Virginia singing to the choir today.

If you will check the Sienna College Poll which ranks presidents you will find that President Carter outranks George W. Bush who ranks in the bottom five...exactly where he should.

We have adult leadership for the first time since President Clinton, and we do not need to turn around and go back to Bush's failed policies.

      Obama-Biden 2012!

Bush came into office January 2001...and inherited a security mess. They did have intel but Bush did not trust that intel and refused to act until he could study the information. Bush began his struggle with the looming economic problems in the spring of 2001 when he went to congress with his concerns about the mortgage industry, freddie and fannie, they blew him off and continued to do so right up to the crash...and remember as things worsened the dems controlled both houses from 2007-2009....the recession began December 2007 and ended May 2009. So, you see we still have one common denominator and that is the same progressive (communistic)democrats in office/power and one of their own barack h obama as president... So, the time has come to clean house as we did in 2010..and we will Jean regardless of what these foolish polls may say. Obama is finished.

oh...can't believe you would even mention Carter...probably the weakest and most ineffective president in the history of this country...Bush will always be remembered for standing his ground against the leftists in our govt to protect America... And, history will tell you he had the support of over 60 countries(except for France, Germany, and Italy who were making money in Iraq) and the majority of both legislative houses (although, clinton, pelosi, kerry, and others turned on him when it favored them politically (class acts indeed) to go to war...in fact any prudent mind of the time would agree to war/invasion. It takes a true American lover/patriot and a real MAN to stand firm as Bush did, and no, it was not politically good for him as it was not good politically good for his father to raise the taxes when he did...for the good of America. you have NEVER seen this courage from obama...it is all about power to him, no moral selflessness from this narcissist.

VA, where the Rep. Governor and the law makers have trashed the women of the state. They have taken away all the rights of the women to health care. They are the biggest suppressors of women in this nation. Why would anyone vote for having their rights taken away.
