Great Job Mr. President. Go get those Republicans.

They are going to throw their lies and garbage at you but we know that you will be great.

Look, Republicans left this country in an economic mess and two wars. Their tax cuts for the super wealthy has cost us trillions in lost revenue. Now they are complaining that Obama did not clean up their mess fast enough.

We have seen how congress has sabotage the economic recovery by not passing the Job Bills and instead focussing on repealing the Affordable Care Act 33 times.

The truth is you are the one that is throwing lies and garbage.

The Republican House has passed 39 Jobs Bills. It is the Democrat-controlled Senate that refuses to even vote on these issues.

Why do Liberals, like Lionel, feel the need to lie to voters?

According to Obama unemployment would never even reach 8% once his stimulus was passed, those are his own words Lionel. Remember all the shovel ready jobs that were promised? Now you say it doesn't matter what he said, is delusion your occupation or your way of life?

Under Obama he has increased spending on the border and the number of illegals compared to Bush is in a huge way, declining. Just because you see 2-3 illegals on the news doesn't mean that 100 million are standing behind the camera.

You don't have a clue about what you are talking about. Check out "Security and Prosperity Agreement" on Google. It was a plan GW Bush concocted with the Prime Minister of Canada and President Vincente Fox in Mexico to merge all three countries and operate under one monetary system. That's why Bush didn't want a fence the length of the border. He wanted a virtual fence, which actually means, a fence you couldn't tell wasn't operational. The reason for that is; If his plan went through, he'd have to tear the fence down. You can google that on the Mexican and Canadian websites, too. You won't find much on the USA gov't site.....because he hid it from us. Also google Virgil Goode's message on how the S&P would screw America. Bush even cut a deal with Canada to allow Canadian Troops into the USA to quell any civil unrest issues we have here. You need to start researching things for yourself and not believe what everyone tells you. Chances are they are as illiterate as you are.

According to several economist, what the Rethuglikans are touting as thier "jobs bills" won't create jobs.
They include Gary Burtless of the Brookings Insittute; Mark Zandi of Moody's Analytics and Carl Riccadonna of Duestche Bank. basically any jobs (if any) created would be due to the elimination of enviromental regulations which in the end means you might have a few jobs, but a lot more sick people. The environmential conscences was those bills are more likely to kill people than create jobs.

    October 1, 2012 at 10:17 am |
    • Jay in NC

"more likely to kill people than create jobs."???
So let me understand. It is the Liberal conciseness that Job training for Vets, and small business tax deduction would "kill people?"

If the Democratic controlled Senate is so sure of this then why don't they vote on the issues and get it over with. Why hold up the process. Typical Liberals, they do not want a representative government. They want to appoint a few people, their people, to decide everything. No representation, no votes, no debate.

You say "You don't have months to rehears in a real crisis. " Are you suggesting that Obama has not been dishing out zingers, ha, take a look at his schedule, campaign events every day. Obama is not hunkered down at the White House concerned about the wars, he is out making money for his political party.

About the 47%, grow up, face the facts. 47% of America will not vote for Romney, and I am sure that 47% will not vote for Obama.

people like you are so friggen worried that brown people are going to get health care that they can't afford and thus "don't deserve" that you'd rather deny access to yourself rather than pay an equal share with the rest of the nation in opening it up to EVERYBODY. Who's selfish now?

I think you find similar about the President's Jobs bill.

Representative Heath Shuler, another North Carolina Democrat, said Congress should tame the deficit before approving new spending for job programs. (New York Times)

The AJA’s only certain effect is to make everything worse than it already is by asking Congress to tighten the stranglehold that government regulation has already placed on the economy. (Richard Epstein)

Even Mark Zandi did not feel the Job Act should be passed as a single unit, but piece by piece. (NPR)

Did you kids get your emails from Barack and Michelle this weekend?

Let him know that you're right there with him. Signed Michelle

I know you're with me. Now I need you to take the next step. Please make a donation of $5 or more: Signed Barack

Ever notice that if you call him Barack then you will get accused of racism and or disrespecting a president? Yet that is how he signed his so called personal note to me. I guess this puts us on first name basis, so Barack it is, but I still want to be called Jay in NC, not just Jay, OK Michelle?

The other thing strange about this dynamic duo is how truly needy they are, "Let him know that you're right there". Oh my, does Barack really need that much reassurance, is he feeling that down that he needs little old me, Jay in NC, to cheer him up?

Did you receive the birthday notice? Wish Barack a happy birthday send $5, Oh, yea there was also fathers day, like if other adult men do not have children of their own. It is like Barack, sorry President Barack, is the only one in the world that matters. I guess if you are going to be a god then you should be the only one.

You do know that 14% of the National Debt is the interest on the Bush deficit....plus the continuation of the Bush Era tax cuts, the cost of the wars he started, and his TARP, are several of the major factors in the increase in the National Debt.

Jean – the option is TO CUT SPENDING!!! It is now 4 years later and Obama has less of a clue then when he entered office. Just like you, he blames everyone else.
Jean, I would put FOX NEWS against ANY OTHER. I assume you watch the one that was caught doctoring tape to make thier story – you know NBC/MSDNC?
Jean, don't give us lip service, simply answer two questions – what news is better than Fox, especially given that Fox has had on just about any lib you can name. . And, when, IYO, will Obama be responsible for the mess this country is in?

Jean, the President will likely add another 4 to 5 trillion to the deficit if he is reelected. Don't you think it is time to deal with the deficit instead of justifying it with Bush did it too? The President was elected partially for being the un-Bush.

    October 1, 2012 at 1:47 pm |
    • Cynthia L.

You do understand that interest paid on ANY DEBT past or present doesn't go to zero when a new president is elected? Hmmm. You must be one of the 1% who think that way because you don't want to give up your tax favoritism, OR a Repulican accountant working hard to keep you in the money. After all, if it wasn't for WAR AND WALL STREET who and what is going to take us to the cleaners? The wealthy have theirs. NO WORRIES. The WAR MACHINE has theirs. NO WORRIES. BUT they like to blame everyone else including the Veterans, seniors AND the education of our children. NO BLAMEY FOR YOUR CORPORATE BOARDS, CEO'S, WEAPONS MANUFACTURERS?? Until then, Caramon, you don't make sense. Government IS the largest job creator in this nation AND THAT'S BECAUSE the taxpayers have invested in their country. Bush did it, too? Let me see, he did give tax breaks to the wealthiest of our country, AND START TWO WARS that left us with plenty of Veterans to look out for PLUS he looked out for War Contractors like Halliburton with NO BID CONTRACTS and plenty of mercenary soldiers paid far better than our own volunteer military.
The Republicans are sooooo fearful WE THE PEOPLE WON'T VOTE FOR THEM -they are attacking the rights of citizens to vote. HOPE THE REPUBLICANS GO DOWN IN FLAMES, if just for THAT REASON ALONE!!

Cynthia L. ... another rocket scientist, like 'Dear Leader', who believes that we can, and should spend our way out of debt.
This kind of flawed mindless believing in 'Dear Leader', got us another 6 TRILLION in debt, in just 4 years.
America cannot afford another 4 years of obama !!!

        October 2, 2012 at 2:41 pm |
    • Caramon

Cynthia, do not assume I am part of the 1 percent. In this case you are wrong. Of course you do realize that my response was to Jean who discussed the interest on Bush's debt. As you stated that the deficit does not go to zero each time a new president is elected only supports my argument. It is not only Bush's debt. Government may be the largest job creator when measured against an individual business. However to state that the government employees more than the private sector is not correct. If the government does indeed employ more than 50 percent of the workforce could you imagine what this would do to the economy. Where would the government get the money? Taxpayers do provide the government funding. But imagine a person receiving 50K in income then paying 5K in taxes. Do you see the problem?

      October 1, 2012 at 4:27 pm |
      • Cynthia L.

Paul Ryan was on the talk circuit this last weekend and refused to give any examples of the MATH they were using to improve the deficit saying, "It would take too long to explain it." So, that's it? That's all they're gonna say? Experts saying that what they've ekked out as a plan doesn't add up so far. AND, when Gov. Bob McDonnell, a spokesperson for Romney, was asked about it by Andrea Mitchell, all he said was, it was, "A LAUGHABLE QUESTION." It's one thing to say the other candidate is ruining the economy BUT NOT say what you are going to do to improve upon what is being done. Reasonable people are turning away from this Republican candidate because of it. We're tired of waiting for information that should have been forthcoming early on seeing as Mitt has been running for office since 2008. You may have ideas how the tax code can be changed but, WHAT ARE THEIR PLANS?

        October 1, 2012 at 6:54 pm |
      • Cynthia L.

You being a 1%er is NOT TRUE?....Okay. You, I believe.
When the Republicans asked for trillions more on the Defense Budget than the Pentagon asked for, don't you suppose they ARE trying to add more people to the payroll then is currently needed?....I suspect they have another war in mind.

        October 1, 2012 at 7:16 pm |
      • caramon

Cynthia, the fact that Mitt Romney needs to be explicit on his ideas is something we both agree on. As I stated before, I believe Romney will decide the election. It is his to win or to lose. I think you have stated something undecided voters want to hear, maybe need to hear, in order to win their vote.

        Take care

Caramon...It is obvious neither your god Ronnie Raygun or GW Bush listened to your advice. Frankly, the national deficit would not be at the current level if someone had not given tax cuts that favored billionaires during a fiasco of at the same time starting two unfunded wars one for non-existent WMD. You do know that $400Billion of the current national debt each year is the interest on the debt?

And I love it how you suddenly got religion once Bush left office....Really! Why?

A.) The U.S. Government has carried a national debt since Andrew Jackson (his term was the last time we ever paid off the national debt and were debt free).
The most recent President to start showing a budget surplus that could have been used to pay down the debt and not send as rebates was Bill Clinton...so obviously that model for accumulating the funds to pay down the debt worked better than the model George W. Bush used to spend the surplus on tax refunds, and at the same time to double the national debt. It is all about the math!

I would suggest one way of acquiring the funds to pay down the debt is to go back to Clinton Era tax rates, cut the bloated military budget...(the U.S. has 12 aircraft carriers the rest of the world combined has 11), do improvments in infrastructure that will make us more competitive, cut the massive welfare for giant corporations which do not need more of our tax dollars, eliminate waste and outright fraud in the medicare/medicaid system (From a personal journey through the health care system.....I'm sure this one amounts to several billions in over-charges, outright fraud, and milking the system for all its worth by providers each year).

      October 1, 2012 at 6:05 pm |

Fact is Obammy had both houses for the first 2 years and all he accomplished was more debt, less jobs. A true leader leads, he does not point and blame, if you are to ignorant to see whats going on around you, than no one can help you.

the national deficit would not be at the current level if someone had not given tax cuts that favored billionaires during a fiasco of at the same time starting two unfunded wars one for non-existent WMD.

Maybe some truth here. However, the tax cuts were across the board not just for the Billionaires. Part of the problem is the tax loopholes in the overly-bloated tax code resulting from lobbyist. It seems this should have been a priority. Please note that lobbyist work both sides of the aisle.

You do know that $400Billion of the current national debt each year is the interest on the debt?

The why attribute the entire interest payment to Bush's deficit since every president since Jackson has contributed to the deficit?

And I love it how you suddenly got religion once Bush left office....Really! Why?

Don't assume. I simply started writing on CNN. You have no idea what by thoughts were prior to this.

The most recent President to start showing a budget surplus that could have been used to pay down the debt and not send as rebates was Bill Clinton

True. However, during the Clinton administration, the economy was not in the same condition, the tech boom hit and Clinton was forced to reduce spending by a Republican Congress.

do improvments in infrastructure that will make us more competitive

I am listening. What improvements to infrastructure would you suggest?

eliminate waste and outright fraud in the medicare/medicaid system

Agreed. How does the healthcare bill solve this problem? I come from a background working in academia. Fraud does not only exist in medicine. It also exists in academia. I tried to report these issues. I could write a book on how that worked out

I am confused whenever people say "Obama can't run on his record"

Shall we review his record? We shall.
COMING INTO OFFICE his hurdles were 750k+ jobs lost each and every month.
Failing housing markets – record foreclosures
Failing banking sector – no one was loaning money to small business and they were closing rapidly
    DOW at 6.5k
    2 Unfunded wars
Stonewalling congress """""""""Our number 1 political goal is to make him a one term president"""""""""" sound familiar?

NOW – 100k+ jobs gained each and every month
Housing market is rebounding in a huge way 10% increase in housing prices increased equity
Banking sector is thriving and lending money again
    DOW at 13.5k
Down to 1 war (thought the timeline was established during Bush so he gets credit as well)
    OBL dead
Ghadaffi dead without the use of 100's of thousands of troops and a costly war. Less than 1 billion to take down a tyrant as opposed to the trillions used for Afghanistan and Iraq wars
Healthcare expanded to tens of millions of people (for those crying socialism, go ahead and take a look at ALL other fully socialized healthcare systems, half the costs for for better results compared to us)

This may be a slow recovery but it still is one. If you want to blindly listen to campaign rhetoric, go ahead its a free country. But try not to spew hate speech and / or non truths just because someone else told you to.

DEcember 2012 – exactly, healthcare is socialism/marxism/communism. Even though its whole premise is based off of Romney's healthcare plan he enacted as governor in MA. SOOOOOOOO doesn't that make Romney is a socialist. If being a socialist in some respects is bad, Romney is equally horrible and trying to "fundamentally change america".

        October 1, 2012 at 4:34 pm |
      • jean2009

Romney's health care plan for MA was originally known as the Nixon/Kennedy plan...both were the model for the Affordable Health Care Law. Although there are difference each was insurance based. Richard Nixon as a teenager watched two of his younger bothers die of a mysterious illness, one at age 7 the other at age 22.

How a person being required to purchase health insurance can be deemed socialized medicine actually surpasses the definition of moronic.

Oh but I think he is, and will because in the end it is a better record than you want to admit.

Here are just a few of the 200 accompishments you can find posted online.
        Passed Health Care Reform
        Passed the Stimulus
        Passed Wall Street Reform
        Ended the War in Iraq
Began Draw Down of War in Afghanistan
        Eliminated Osama bin laden
Turned Around the U. S. Auto Industry
        Recapitalized Banks
        Repealed “Don’t ask Don’t Tell”
        Toppled Moammar Gaddafi
Kicked Banks Out of the Federal Student Loan Program, Expanded Pell Grant
        Boosted Fuel Efficiency Standards
        Increased Support for Veterans
        Signed the Lilly Ledbetter Act

According to many news sources Iraq is getting better. Yes, there is still violence but it is getting better.
I remember the same claims about the Vietnam War being lost when troops pulled out, and today Vietnam is well on the way to being the world's 14th biggest economy.

      • Jay in NC

Passed Health Care Reform – and that is good?

Passed the Stimulus – still waiting for those jobs.

Passed Wall Street Reform – ???

Ended the War in Iraq – Bush ended the war before he left office. It was called the U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement. Take the time to look it up. Withdraw from Iraqi cities by June 30, 2009, and all U.S. forces will be completely out of Iraq by December 31, 2011.

Began Draw Down of War in Afghanistan – No, Obama actually sent more people to Afghanistan, remember the Obama surge? Those people are still there.

Eliminated Osama bin laden – I think that was the Navy Seals, yeah I am sure it was.

Turned Around the U. S. Auto Industry – No, Ford and many of the suppliers were doing very well. Capitalism would have kicked in and GM would have been purchased by investors.

Recapitalized Banks – Obama put us, as tax payers into debt by trillions of dollars, the banks should have been forced to help homeowners, yep Obama helped out the 1% bank owners and stuck it to the little home owner. On this we agree.

Repealed “Don’t ask Don’t Tell” – Yet before had outed more gays from the military than president Bush.

Toppled Moammar Gaddafi – And left our embassy open to attack.

Kicked Banks Out of the Federal Student Loan Program, Expanded Pell Grant – Kicked them out, yes he did , and now a local bank can not invest in local kids going to school. Industries can not make no or low interest loans for students of their triad. More government control. You do realize that we borrow the money from China at 6% to lend for 3%, Obama is such a good money manager. Here is a better idea, force large schools to charge less.

Boosted Fuel Efficiency Standards – Yes and gas prices are almost twice the price when he took office.

Increased Support for Veterans – More men and women have died because of Obama's mishandling of the war. To now claim that he has some how helped them more than other is discussing.

Signed the Lilly Ledbetter Act – Yes, a self serving, self named law that only states the rights that women already had. It was a grand standing event that was designed to be decisive not solve real problems.

    2. You do know that $400Billion of the current national debt each year is the interest on the debt?

The why attribute the entire interest payment to Bush's deficit since every president since Jackson has contributed to the deficit?

    3. And I love it how you suddenly got religion once Bush left office....Really! Why?

Don't assume. I simply started writing on CNN. You have no idea what by thoughts were prior to this.

everyday it is something else for obama and mob...today he is trying to buy off defense contractors, stop them from announcing job layoffs(job cuts that would make him look bad)...layoffs due to his ineptness in negotiating a debt ceiling agreement...which he said he would not sign unless it put the real big decisions off until after his election...this all happened one year ago, and now the chickens have come in to roost and obama-the-snake is trying to manipulate is way out of the mess he caused for himself, disregarding law and morality.

What happened to the obama promise in 2008 to cut the deficit and balance the budge? No budget and almost doubling of the national debt...time for a change.
