So quiet

So quiet

The White House is exceptionally quiet with only two weeks to go until election day.

The candidates square off for their third and final debate tonight, perhaps sealing who the inhabitant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave will be for the next four years.

Regardless of the outcome, the inaugural preparation and construction will soon get underway, and then the quiet will indeed be gone.

IT WOULDN'T BE SO QUIET, IF THE MEDIA HAD VETTED OBAMA, AND TOLD THE TRUTH, FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS

16 TRILLION AND COUNTING ... WHILE OBAMA IS ALL STYLE AND NO SUBSTANCE ... ALL SIZZLE AND NO STEAK
Obama has been using, and exploiting the middle class and below, since day one. In reality, his failed policies have raised the prices of everything they need to survive. Thanks to Obama, the children and grandchildren of the middle class and below, will suffer with enormous Obama spending and debt. Immigrants, who risked everything to come here, are also being exploited by Obama, for their votes ... for Obama is systematically eliminating opportunities for individuals to build a business, and provide a better life for their children. Obama is turning America into the same kind of third world country, these people escaped from. And, regarding religion ... Obama uses religion, when it benefits him. He attended Wright's anti-American, racist church for TWENTY YEARS, to establish a political base with the black community ... only to throw them under the bus, when they became a political liability.

I wouldn't mind Howard IF you were at all factual but you're a spinner much like your boss Romney....blame it on the media...uh huh...sure...

After Obama spent a year, plus 150 million dollars, trying to demonize Mitt Romney ... in the debates, the American people discovered what an honorable, intelligent, decent man Romney actually is ... and, after the Libya debacle, and the Fast & Furious tragedy ... the results were Obama lies, cover ups, and many innocent victims murdered.

Wish it is done and over with, like yesterday.

Lets get back to serious issues such as dealing with taxes, deficit and long term debt reduction, and of course, how to invest smart as a nation, and create a new 21 century economy that is sustainable.

Never let Wall Street or hedge funds back to the throne that ruin this country again.

IT'S QUIET BUT THE REPUBLITARD BUTTHURT IS CONTINUING THE ANNOYING RITUAL OF NONSENSICAL ATTACKS AGAINST THE PRESIDENT. KEEP IT UP, IT WILL ONLY TURN OFF THE MODERATES AND THE UNDECIDED WHILE ENERGIZING THE DEMOCRATS.

IN THE WORDS OF PRESIDENT OBAMA, "PLEASE PROCEED."

    • Caramon

Ouch on the butthurt. December, are you watching the debate tonight? I think it will be interesting. I probably figure they will be revisiting the attack in Libya.

      October 22, 2012 at 3:57 pm |
      • DEcember 2012

HEY CARAMON. YES, I WILL BE WATCHING AND WILL BE CURIOUS TO SEE HOW THE LIBYA TOPIC WILL TURN OUT. I HOPE THEY HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO GO OVER THE OTHER TOPICS AS WELL. IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE HOW MITT ROMNEY CAN SEPARATE HIMSELF FROM THE MUCH MALIGNED BUSH FOREIGN POLICIES CONSIDERING HE HAS SO MANY FORMER BUSH ADVISERS IN HIS CAMP.

        October 22, 2012 at 5:05 pm |
      • Caramon

I figure Romney will likely try to go on the offensive in an attempt to put the President on defense. However, advantage will go to the President since he is involved with foreign policy. We will probably see how the debate will go in the first few minutes.

Wow this sure is impressive! Why doesn't she just get a job and pay for her own contraception?

Sandra Fluke, campaigning for Obama in Nevada, spoke Saturday in front of about 10 people at the Sak ‘N Save in north Reno.

    October 22, 2012 at 5:02 pm |
    • DEcember 2012

MUST BE NICE TO TARGET SANDRA FLUKE FOR AN ISSUE THAT AFFECTS MOST WOMEN. CONTRACEPTION IS A ALSO A FAMILY ISSUE, A POCKETBOOK ISSUE. THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT WOMEN THAT RUSH LIMBAUGH WOULD LOVE TO SEE NAKED.

Hi December. I hope you will forgive me if I choose not to discuss the issue of Sandra Fluke with you. I remember how that went last time. I think I lost.

However, there is an interesting article by Kathleen Parker in the Washington Post about what women want. Maybe you will have a chance to read it.

What did you think of the debate? Apparently Mitt Romney proved me wrong on his debate strategy.

      October 23, 2012 at 11:41 am |
      • DEcember 2012

HI CARAMON. I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHY SANDRA FLUKE CAME UP IN TOPIC TO BEGIN WITH BUT TO BE HONEST, SANDRA FLUKE WOULD NOT EVEN BE A TOPIC OF CONVERSATION IF THE REPUBLICANS DID NOT ATTACK HER I AM CURIOUS AS TO WHAT IS MOVING WOMEN TO VOTE SO I WILL LOOK UP THE KATHLEEN PARKER ARTICLE, THANKS.

AS FOR THE DEBATE, I WAS ONLY SURPRISED BY HOW PREDICTABLE IT WENT. MITT ROMNEY IS PIVOTING TO THE MIDDLE SO HARD, IT IS NOT EVEN FUNNY. I STOPPED WATCHING AFTER A WHILE.

        October 23, 2012 at 12:12 pm |

Romney separated himself from the Bush policy in the last debate, even though obama tried to attach him to it. The real focus is and should be what is happening in the middle east and africa...and it is a MESS. obama will continue to overs speak and change the focus...Romney will not allow this...he can't. But, you know, it is difficult to argue with a guy who will look you in the face and lie..in front of the world. A case in point is Lance Armstrong...but it all comes down to the truth eventually. This is why obama is trying to massage the facts about the Libya killings...and holding off tax increases, and military cuts, and tax increases and and and... lets see if America is stupid enough to buy into the obama lie.

    October 22, 2012 at 7:26 pm |
    • DEcember 2012

"IT IS DIFFICULT TO ARGUE WITH A GUY WHO WILL LOOK YOU IN THE FACE AND LIE"

FUNNY, THAT'S WHAT OBAMA MUST BE THINKING WHEN ROMNEY CAME SHORT OF SINGING KUMBAYA DURING THE DEBATE. THE REPUBLICANS WHO WERE PAYING ATTENTION MUST HAVE BEEN ROLLING THEIR EYES SO HARD THEY CONTRACTED ROMNEYSIA.

THE PRESIDENT HAS A RECORD ON FOREIGN POLICY. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE NUTS IF YOU THINK HE CAN LIE ABOUT IT OR RUN AWAY FROM IT. ROMNEY ON THE OTHER HAND, PRETTY MUCH WASTED HIS MONEY HIRING ALL THOSE NEOCONS BECAUSE HE KNEW THE COUNTRY IS SICK OF THEIR CRAP. SO HE CAME OUT PRETTY MUCH LIKE A LIMP NOODLE DURING THE DEBATE.

      • PowerOfChoice

Guess you are nuts because president did tell more untruths. He potentially should have also been pounded on the spending of our tax dollars in the tune of about 70 Million after Libya attacks for middle east TV ads appologizing for the video when it was actually a terrorist attack. There went more tax dollars flushed based on a lie.

      • DEcember 2012

IT HAS ALREADY BEEN UNCOVERED THAT THE ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCED THEIR INFORMATION BASED ON THE LATEST INTELLIGENCE COMING FROM THE CIA AT THE TIME. IF YOU THINK ANYBODY LIED ABOUT ANYTHING THEN YOU SHOULD GIVE US PROOF. PERHAPS YOU KNOW SOMETHING THE CIA DOESN'T.

TO REITERATE, THE PRESIDENT IS 100% CORRECT WHEN HE SAID THE ATTACK IN LIBYA WAS AN ACT OF TERROR. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO COMMITTED IT AND FOR WHATEVER REASON. IF YOU THINK THE PRESIDENT IS LYING THEN YOU CLEARLY FAILED IN GRASPING SIMPLE LOGIC.

        October 23, 2012 at 1:00 am |

        Power,
70 million on TV ads? Really? I would love to see your source. Hey, I've got some beachfront property in Idaho. Very cheap.

      • Caramon

Hi Doc, There are a number of sources that show the government did, in fact, spend money on advertising in Pakistan concerning the attack in Libya. However, it was 70K not 70M.

Obama lies all the time so one more lie about Libya is just him being what he is. I doubt that this debate really changed any minds and if you're truly undecided at this point then I'd hate to go shopping with you.

AND OF COURSE THE LAST DEBATE DIDN'T MATTER. WE BASICALLY SAW OBAMA DEBATING HIMSELF.

Throbbing Member 2012 – the fight went on for 7 hours. This administration had live feeds, both audio and video. Ms. Lamb testified to these facts. But, you crazy libs think this Administration had no information on this attact as it was happening?
I understand to admit these facts makes Obama look like a coward and it goes against the whole "Al quida is dead" line put out by this administration, but even you libs have to question what they knew and when they knew it.

If Romney wins...America desrerves EVERYTHING it deserves and with it 4 years of back tracking and unravelling. It takes at least 8 years to put a dent into 8 years of bad debt. Romney will run you backwards again. America has made gains in EVERY area albeit it some areas small but a gain is a gain....Obama HAS delivered but the elctorate fueled by power mongerers will put America back in the hole...if Romney wins...in 4 years PLEASE look back at these remarks...I promise you that's what he will do.

I have been reading this blog for 6 months now & have counted only 4 1/2 days of actual work done by the prez, the rest has been travel & campaigning. With the economy in the tank, the mid east turmoil, high unemployment & no budget for 3 years there must not be a whole lot of things needing his presidential leadership. I guess he really wasn't in it for the work, but just the perks.

You intelligent Republicans KNOW that after 8 years of Bush regime it takes about 4 years for all the deficit to finally be rung up??? Did you know that? Then it takes another MINIMUM 4 years to run the country back out of debt. Obama is doing a great job showing improvements in ALL sectors. Gov't spending is down across the board...that'll take a while to show up as gains as well. The reason they don't like Obama is because they aren't very good at Math. I can't see ANY 'Valid" and "substantiated " reason why not. I said "reason" based in reality. Obama didn't create ANY of this mess in his 4 years....it's been racking up because of Bush's mismanagement not Obama's.....it ain't rocket science.
