Obama makes pitch in new ad, reiterates plan for second term

(CNN) – While he made a closing statement on Monday night's debate stage, President Barack Obama made another argument in a new 60-second television ad, released just hours after his final showdown with Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

In the spot, Obama looks directly at the camera and makes his case for another four years. The ad is part of what the campaign calls a "full-scale, multiplatform organizational effort" that includes direct mail and the distribution of a booklet that lists the president's four-year plan.

This isn't a new pitch, just new packaging.

Isn't it amazing how in-directly accurate Obama was during the debates.., according to CNN's Fact Check.

After Obama spent a year, plus 150 million dollars, trying to demonize Mitt Romney ... in the debates, the American people discovered what an honorable, intelligent, decent man Romney actually is ... and, after the Libya debacle, and the Fast & Furious tragedy ... the results were Obama lies, cover ups, and many innocent victims murdered.

Thank you for your persistance in pointing out this administration's misguided failures.

      • What are you smoking?

I don't know what "American people" you are talking about. The ones I know discovered a person who knows nothing about foreign policy, takes 3 positions on the same issue in the same week, destroyed companies for living and hates 47% of this country.

We can certainly do without that again.

Anything is better than what Romnesia is promising for thre next 4 years...This country can't handle anymore Bush policies. We have to believe this is what he'll do because he has yet to say what he would. After last night, it seemed that even Romney himself is voting for the President the way he agreed with everything he couldn't answer for himself...lol Good vidoe Mr. President, keep making the GOP look like fools...

Romney will fix the economy. You libs have seen Obama in action (or non-action) for the past 4 years. How can anyone in their right mind choose Obama over Romney if they really want to move this country in the right direction. What we heard from Obama last night was "give me 4 more years, I will fix it". Just like Bush before him, his tenure is up. We need a real leader. We do not need another 4 years of not getting it done and pointing fingers at others because he isn't getting it done.

EVERYONE knows that Obama's 11th hour proclamation that he has supported Israel ... is B.S. !!! ... Obama will say, or do ANYTHING to hold onto power ... including lies and coverups regarding Libya and Fast n' Furious !!! ... Obama also talked about solving the problems in the middle east, by helping the people to start business, and promote entrepreneurship ...
while here in the U.S., over the past 4 years, Obama has been a miserable failure with American's and small business.

I can give you a a lot of reasons why a lot of us want 4 more years of President Obama.

Jobs, Education, Health Care, Women's Rights, Workers Rights, Minority Rights, Ending the War, Infrastructure Rebuilding, Tax Reform, Everyone doing their fair share, Energy Independents.

It took the last administration 8 long destructive years to get this Country and the World Economies into this mess. Next you gave us the most obstructive Republican Congress in the Country's history.

Since the Republicans have already taken us to rock bottom we have no where to go but up.

So, why not give the Democrats 4 more years.

First of all ... most of our economic mess came from Dodd and Frank (both Democrats) legislation, which caused the housing melt down ... initiated during the Clinton administration. Furthermore ... EVERYONE knows that Obama's 11th hour proclamation that he has supported Israel ... is B.S. !!! ... Obama will say, or do ANYTHING to hold onto power ... including lies and coverups regarding Libya and Fast n' Furious !!!

Look at the things you mentioned. Jobs? What is the real unemployment #? 14% if we include those who gave up looking for jobs while Obama has been in office?
Healthcare? The biggest tax hike in the history of the world and several hundred thousand people will STILL BE WITHOUT COVERAGE AND THE REST OF US ARE FORCED INTO A GOVERNMENT PLAN? Education? The US spends more than any other country in the world and where do we rank now after 4 years of Obama? 15th?
Ending the war – and getting into two more? Tax reform?
The last one is the biggest laugh – energy independence?
This Obama administration hasn't even put a budget in place. What you list as "accomplishments" are lib dem talking points. Some, like Obamacare is runing our economy and will kill the middle class with billions in taxes!!
Minority rights? WOmens rights? Phoney lib dem issues Obama has politicized?
Say what you will, Obama has been a disaster for this country. This country has never been more divided. He has given away billions of dollars of working Americans to his contributrors who have had failing companies.
You libs need to choose between a person who has been successful his entire life in everything he has done or the community organizer who can only tell us HE WILL RAISE TAXES. That is it, that is their agenda for the next 4 years if they are reelected.

Still blaming President Bush...did you know he inherited 9/11...and a defunct intell community, and a very deminished military...a real mess. Not to speak of the building mortgage crisis created in large part by slick willie clinton.... you need to learn to think for yourself.

    • What are you smoking?

What baffles my mind is that anyone would want 4 more years of Bush and Cheney. You know that's what you are voting for, right?

It took 4 years to stabilize the catastrofuck that Bush created, and now you are saying you want more.

Over all, Obama raised much more money than Romney ... but, just like Obama squandered SIX TRILLION dollars of OUR money ... he used up most of his campaign money, early in his campaign, demonizing Mitt Romney ... while Romney spent his money in a more prudent, responsible way. Now that it's near the end of the campaign season, Obama and his followers are crying foul, because Romney has more money left. Obviously, Obama is not only irresponsible with money, he's also a cry baby.

We all know Romney has changed his positions on many issues during the last year. Is anyone sure that if he is elected who he will be. Can we take a chance on him? No. There is too much at stake. It is not worth the chance. Opportunists should not be President. The way he talked last night, he appears to be an Obama supporter.

I guess anyone that wants to see State' rights diminished, property rights slowly eroded, incomes used at objects of retaliation, prices rising through the roof, homes being used as ATM's for public employee unions, and uber liberalism poisoning the minds of Americans, will vote for the Comrade Obama. But not this independent gal. Nope. Not ever. Not all into his misery factor. Not into his world views about anarchy and chaos. Not all into having all that I am trying to achieve get stomped on by his contemptuous desires for me and other high achievers. I really don't have any desire to be one of his mindless and weak followers who would love it if all of America fell into poverty and pain. I may not ever be uber rich, but I am rich in spirit, and love my life. Despite Obama's attempt to poison any and all beauty and joy in our Nation. I already have a plan in place if he gets re-elected. My money will be gone from this country as I will be a property owner in another place and will very easily be able to hold all my assets there. Mr Obama has spit on this country far too many times. His ill advised, ill timed and misplaced ideals have been the most destructive of any President I have witnessed. As a woman of pride, resourcefulness, and high values, I denounce Obama's ways. Every single one of them. How a man with zero experience in legislating anything meaningful ever got elected is beyond me, but many people are too clueless to lost in far out idealism, that the mere idea of a black man running for President was the only reason they voted for him. Wow, go figure

4 more years of Bush policies? No thanks. Stabalizing the economy without repealing any bank regulations is remarkable. I say if we gave Bush 8 years why can't we give the this guy 8. I'd like to vote for Romney but he keeps changing positions on me. You don't like Obama because he hasn't put money in your pockets fast enough? I think it's more to it then that.

Yet you'll SETTLE for four more years of Obama policies? Romney IS NOT Bush but Obama is Obama! Well maybe not 'cause Putin knows, he'll "have a little more flexiblity" Whatever that means!

For those of you who don't do real research even CEO's believe Obama's recovery plan will work better than Romney's. There is also evidence that despite being blocked in the Senate by the Republicans Obama has manged to make many gains in many sectors. DO THE RESEARCH if you don't believe it but PLEASE shut your trap when you haven't done any and if you are ONLY spouting something someone else has said and it's not really facts which is probably why many of you have said what you are saying. Popularity won't bring about recovery...neither will race or religion nor any other doteing factor...

Romney is full of shit. Your country is a joke. You those with conservative leanings are so easily manipulated. Obama inherited a complte mess. He had to spend additional money because your so called great nation was heading into a depression! The only reason his policies are supposadly not working is becuase congress are blocking every single bill he tries to sign into law to help all of you retards just to unseat him. THIER NUMBER ONE PRIORITY IS TO GET OBAMA OUT. You are all so obssed with your petty divisions instead of working together thatts why your nation will never move forward. I hope Romeny destroys your country maybe then you will finally learn.. P.S what exactly is ROMNEYS PLAN? you mean the proposal that has been dismissed by all nuetral experts and some members of the former bush administration? WHY CANT HE SAY WHICH DEDUCTIONS OR LOOP HOLES HE WOULD CLOSE HIS NUMBERS DONT ADD UP HIS PLAN IS NOT POSSIBLE YOU FOOLS BECAUSE IT IS A LIE! THE MAN HAS NO BACKBONE HE IS AN OPPORTUNIST WHO CATERS TO WHATEVER AUDIENCEHE IS FACING!

ASK YOURSELF THIS OBJECTIVELY DO YOU REALLY THINK A GUY WHO IS RUNNING FOR THE PRESIDENCY OF THE U.S.A WHO PLAN HAS BEEN REPEATEDLY PANNED AND QUESTIONED BY EVEN FOX NEWS CANNOT OFFER SPECIFICS CONCERNING HOW HE IS GOING TO PAY FOR A 20% TAX REDUCTION ACROSS THE BOARD INCREASED MILITARY SPENDING THAT THE PENTAGON HAS NOT EVEN ASKED FOR? HE GOING TO ADD $7 TRILLION TO THE DEFICIT BEFORE HE EVEN STARTS TO CUT LOL.

WHAT LOOP HOLES WHAT DEDUCTIONS? HOW MUCH HOW MANY!? EVEN FOX NEWS CANT GET ANYTHING OUT OF HIM! AND HOW THE HELL IS DECLARING HALF OF YOUR COUNTRY LEECHERS! HONOURABLE! FURTHERMORE AFTER 6 YEARS AS A SEVERE CONSERVATIVE SUDDENLY HE IS MR MODERATE? SUDDENLY HE AGREES WITH THE PRESIDENTS FORIEGN POLICY? AFTER BEING OPPOSED TO 2014 PULLOUT? OBAMA IS NOT TOUGH ENOUGH ON CHINA? THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS PUT IN MORE COMPLAINTS AGAINST CHINA THAN ANY OTHER FOR F****SAKE.

Repuiblicans are not interested in facts! They are interested in spinning tales to gulible voters and reaping the benefits with their big business buddies as they have always done. When was the last mandate of the Republican part to balance the budget. Silly people. The answer is never. Romney is a businessman...the same business that got America into the hole in the first place. How can people be so stupid as to do it again. Damn!!

I didnt notice ANYONE RAISING ISSUES AGAINST GEORGE BUSH WHEN HE WAS RUNNING YOUR COUNTRY INTO THE GROUND FOR 8 YEARS.

LOOK.....PEOPLE....I think that Obama could have done more to revitalize the economy, however, it's not his fault the economy is weak. You can't give a janitor a horribly messy building one day and expect him to have cleaned it in 2 days. The same can be said with giving a president a horrible economy and expecting him to turn it around in less than 4 years.

IT TOOK 8 YEARS TO DESTROY YOUR NATION IT CANT BE CLEANED IN 4 NOT EVEN BILL CLINTON COULD DO THE JOB IN THAT TIME! OR REAGAN CERTAINLY NOT ROMNEY WHO WILL SIMPLY SLASH EVERY SINGLE ENTITLEMENT PROGRAM HE CAN THAT MEANS FAMILIES BEING BANKRUPTED DUE TO ILLNESS LESS KIDS GOING TO COLLEGE THUS A LOWER SKILLED WORK FORCE THUS LESS REVENUE. WOMEN'S RIGHTS THROWN OUT OF THE WINDOW AND 7 TRILLION ADDED TO THE DEFICIT BEFORE ANY CUTS ARE EVEN MADE.

I agree. In 2008, job loss was in freefall, we were in two wars (not paid for with increased taxes as was common in past wars), housing bubble was bursting... It was the "worst economic crisis since the Great Depression." I actually think Obama did the best he could at stopping the bleeding in the first two years (not all measures were good, but no one's perfect), and he has actually turned the country around in the past two years (we're slowly improving). We're not as employed and happy as we WANT to be, but it took us 8-10 years to recover from the Great Depression. Somehow Republicans think we should have fully recovered and PROSPERED within 2 or 3 years of "the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression."

OH OF COURSE NONE OF THE OUTRAGEOUS PRACTICES BY THE BANKS AND FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS REVOLVING UNDER SUCH FAILED VENTURES ALL ONLY BEGAN UNTIL JAN 20TH 2008. IMAGINE WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED DIFFERENT IF THEIR WORK HAD MORE REGULATIONS IMPOSED ON THEM INSTEAD OF THEM BEING REVERSED BY THE 8 YEARS OF SUCCESSFUL UNACCOUNTABILITY PRACTICES THEY WERE GIVEN A GREEN LIGHT TO GREED BY THE W.BUSHY ADMINISTRATION. NAW WHO NEEDS TO HOLD ACCOUNTABLE THOSE IN CHARGE OF THE FINANCIAL WELL-BEING OF OUR COUNTRY. NAW IT WAS A ROOTIN TOOTIN OLE TEXAS COWBOY WAY OF SHOOT EM UP AND LETS GET RECKLESS. IT CEASES TO AMAZE ME HOW SOME PEOPLE THINK YOU REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS ARE NOT ALL THE SAME. THE REST OF US WE JUST VOTE FOR THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS. AND ALTHOUGH I HATE BOTH PARTIES I DAMN SURE KNOW WHICH ONE IS.

Romney has flip-flopped on every major issue, and has no clue what effect his grand schemes would actually have were he able to implement them. He is all hot air. I mean take this nonsense for example: "From day one I will label China a currency manipulator". And what will that acheive exactly you stupid pillock?

And his idiotic "belief" (because of course he doesnt really believe any of it) that somehow giant technology companies like Apple should be manufacturing in the US. And how many billions of tax payer money will we be subsidising these great US firms to pay ten times Chinese salaries, not to metion all other costs. The man spouts nonsensical b.s. like its going out of fashion.

The only thing consistent and trustworthy thing about him as that he is a two-faced nasty piece of work, with no plan whatsoever, except trying to become President for the sake of becoming President (oh and giving his multi-millionaire/billionaire pals huge tax breaks which they do not need in the slightest (see Warren Buffet).

That coupled with giving Wall Street a free rein worked SO WELL when Bush did it that it led to perhaps the greatest global economic meltdown in history from which only now is the global economy slowly starting to recover from. LETS DO IT AGAIN!!!!!!
