In fact, it's the fourth most populous country in the world with 240 million inhabitants. The drive from the airport to our hotel was easy – a police escort always helps! My immediate impression was lush – it's green and tropical. Yet once I looked past the landscape it was buildings, buildings everywhere. Jakarta is a very modern city with skyscrapers, traffic and LOTS of helmet clad mopeders. I snapped this billboard from the bus on our way in. It's time to get to work. I'll let you know what else I find soon in the home of the Mount Merapi.
