Washington (CNN) –The Obama family spent part of Wednesday afternoon helping low-income familes in Washington get ready for Thanksgiving dinner.
The President, First Lady, and their daughters Sasha and Malia along with Mrs. Obama's mother, Marian Robinson, filled up bags with donated groceries, and delivered them to the less fortunate at Martha's Table, a community based non-profit organization in the nation's capitol.
"How are you doing," the president repeatedly asked of everyone as they approached. He told many what nice families they had, and even gave a few small boys high fives.
Martha's Table is open 365 days a year, and provides a number of services from food to clothing for the community.
