President Obama's faithy Thanksgiving proclamation

This year's Thanksgiving Day proclamation from the White House has a distinctly religious ring to it, referring to the "gifts of a gracious God" to the nation.

"A beloved American tradition, Thanksgiving Day offers us the opportunity to focus our thoughts on the grace that has been extended to our people and our country," President Barack Obama's Thanksgiving proclamation begins."...We also pause our normal pursuits on this day and join in a spirit of fellowship and gratitude for the year's bounties and blessings."

At a time when Obama has been criticized by some conservatives who say he has not been firm enough in espousing American exceptionalism, the statement includes repeated mentions of a relationship between God and America.

"Thanksgiving Day is a time each year, dating back to our founding, when we lay aside the troubles and disagreements of the day and bow our heads in humble recognition of the providence bestowed upon our Nation," the proclamation, issued Tuesday, says.

In other places, the proclamation frames Thanksgiving as a time for the nation to count its blessings amid hard times.

It is sad when so called christians like say what some one else religion is. All those who have professed to be christians have not acted, talked or behaved like christians. These are people who turns those away who would want to attend their church or religion.

Obama has showed to be more christians than those who try to proclaim he is of another faith. He have turned his check more times by not showing angry, not using raicial slurs, or hateful words as have been used on him. He have not stooped to their levels and that is what making them so afraid. They try to use rev wright against him when they cannot give in account of all the years they were in their churches whith the KKK preaching hate for all miniorites. By teaching their children that blacks was not human and could not learn to read or write and was never going to be anything. When slavery ended, they live in fear that one day there would be a black person in the white house as predicted by our foreparents and they worked for generation to keep that from coming true.

Now after generations they have lost that war too and do not what to expect, in most of their minds they are thinking that this president will make their nightmare that they have had for generations of being slaves themselves come true. But there is no need worry about being slaves to another race, because they are slaves to greed and the almighty dollar. That is the down fall they created and that is what they will have to live with.
