Oprah lands big guest

WASHINGTON (CNN) - First lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to tape an interview appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" Friday as part of her signature effort to support military families.

According to the first lady's office, Mrs. Obama will "discuss her plans to launch a comprehensive national campaign…to recognize, honor and provide ways for everyone to step up and answer the call."

The episode will air on Thursday January 27.  Oprah last saw the first lady in December 2009 when she taped her annual holiday special at the White House and interviewed both the president and first lady. Oprah was an early supporter of the Obama campaign in 2008, throwing her weight behind a presidential candidate for the first time in her career. The first lady has also appeared on the cover of Oprah's magazine in March of 2009.

The military families show on Winfrey will also include appearances by military families, as well as Bob Woodward and Tom Brokaw. Brokaw has written extensively about "The Greatest Generation."

No surprise here. Harpo was Barry's biggest contributer. I am glad she is going off the air. Her show started out very strong but in the past years slipped into Morton Downy Jr. fame. Who could forget the show where she asked: "So you've had men ejac***** in your face?" Now that's classy TV (sarcastic). Then again maybe this will be a good show, she could ask about her fantastic arms, date nights, taxpayer paid exotic vacations alone to Spain, and maybe just maybe Harpo will ask The First Date if she has ever let men ..., oh well maybe it would not be such a good show after all.

A very Teabagger response Jay. Then again I expect nothing less from trailer park trash. Good luck with that hate thing, I hear it causes heart disease and early death.

So you hate the Tea Party and poor people that live in trailer parks. OK, but what does that have to do with this subject?

Jay, I don't believe Laurie even suggested 'HATE' in her comment at all! If anything her tone was expressive of maybe her DISLIKE of the TEA PARTY and what they claim to stand for; but SYMPATHY and UNDERSTAN for poor, confused, misguided, hateful, vendictive, bigotted, people who live in trailor parks! I think she's saying she wasn't holding them to the same standard as she does others! She said she expected 'nothing less than' negative responsed comments! Isn't that so fair/balanced of her? Thanks Laurie!!
