Did you know...?![]() Back in 1978, President Carter negotiated a peace deal between Anwar Sadat of Egypt and Prime Minister Menachem Begin of Israel. It was called the Camp David Accords because the intense negotiations took place over 12 days at Camp David in the Catoctin Mountains in Maryland. Although the deal was sealed in September of 1978, the final Egypt-Israel peace deal wasn't signed until March of 1979 in a ceremony at the White House.
