POTUS schedule for February 2, 2011

Good morning from the CNN White House unit.
President Obama will spend most of the day behind closed doors and away from any cameras. He and Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and the Economic Daily Briefing in the morning. The president will also sign the New START Treaty on nuclear arms reduction with Russia later in the morning. The television cameras won't be permitted in the Oval Office for that, but we should see a still photo emerge. In the afternoon the president will meet with his 2008 rival Senator John McCain. The situation in Egypt is likely to be one of the topics of discussion as McCain is the ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. The president will also meet with Senator Jeff Bingaman of New Mexico where the president's clean energy initiatives are likely to be on the docket. In a speech on Monday, Bingaman said he was open to working with the White House to develop a 'clean energy standard,' but said there were a number of issues that needed to be resolved. Bingaman is chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. The president will also meet with Secretary Clinton in the Oval Office where the situation in Egypt is sure to dominate the discussion.
