POTUS's sister's new book

WASHINGTON (CNN) - President Obama's sister is joining the ranks of her brother by becoming a published author.

"Ladder to the Moon" a children's book by Maya Soetoro-Ng, the president's half-sister, was inspired by her daughter, Suhaila's questions about her grandmother, the president's and Soetoro-Ng's mother, Ann Dunham.

According to the publisher, Candlewick Press, the story is about little Suhaila who longs to meet her grandmother and has her dream come true when she's met with a golden ladder outside her window to join "Grandma Annie" for a magical journey.

The book is due out in mid-April and is targeted to young elementary school students.

A great idea when a child ask for granny. I wished my fantasy was realized in a "magical" way as a child when I longed for a grandmother as so many children had when I was in grade school. I could have done without the "harseness" of death and dying when I just didn't understand. Classy, loving family of a real woman.

Wish I had a "Ladder to the Moon" so that I could meet "Grandma Annie". There are so many question about Barry's past.

This is an example of Liberal Capitalism. Capitalize on your half brother, capitalize on your dead mother, capitalize on weepy Liberals. It is OK to make money if you are selling hopes and dreams but God forbid if you are a small business person trying to turn a profit.

you guys trip me out. Why can't everyone leave our President and his family alone. Ya'll ride every aspect of this man's life. He is not responsible for the deficit, the status of America, or anyone's individual woe's. AND if Republicans had or have the answer then why are we in the condition that we are in as a country. This could not be because of the REPUBLICAN President Bush – now could it?
Everyone needs to get a life!

Gwen, "He is not responsible for the deficit" are you serious. His latest budget includes $ 1.4 trillion debt. He has borrowed more money during the past two years than President Bush did in 8. He also has spent more on Afghanistan and lost more lives than the 7 years during President Bush. Barry's presidency has failed.

Why don't you complainers ever think about this? Don't you realize that bad policy decisions always end up costing us more, Jay! It's just like in our own personal lives! Bad decisions or unthoughtful choices always have begat more cost! To straighten it out and get your life back on the right track, it comes with a cost! Usually, it is higher than it would have been, had you done it RIGHT in the beginning! The first time! INITIALLY! My goodness!

That's what you're hoping to be able to say; but I think you're making a very premature assumption! PRES OBAMAS' presidency has NOT failed yet! I believe he may be the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES for 6 more years! If in fact it does fail, I believe it will be due to the same reasons that some people claim and justify BUSH failures; through NO fault of his own! It was all because of BAD ADVICE, BAD INTELLIGENCE! I agree with PRES OBAMAS' request; all he asks is that you all remember where we started from!
