Obama heads home to kick off fund raising

By CNN's Paul Steinhauser and Jessica Yellen

Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama heads to his hometown Thursday evening to begin fund raising for his re-election bid for the White House.

The president is the main attraction at three events in Chicago. The first two are smaller gatherings at Nine and MK, restaurants in the city. The third and largest event is being held at Navy Pier, along the shore of Lake Michigan.

The president announced his re-election bid on Monday April 4, with an e-mail and video sent to supporters. His campaign says it received 23,000 contributions in the first 24 hours following Obama's re-election announcement, with nearly all of those donations in the amount of $200 or less, a source confirms to CNN.

Obama has spent more American tax money in the first two years of his Presidency, than all the Presidents before him, COMBINED !!! ... and, he still is pushing to spend TRILLIONS more !!!

Here are just a few examples of how Obama is ruining our economy:

2009 GAS $1.83 per gallon TODAY $4.00 + per gallon
    2009 SOYBEANS $9.66 TODAY $13.75
    2009 SUGAR $$13.37 TODAY $35.39
2009 NUMBER OF LONG TERM UNEMPLOYED 2,600,000 TODAY 6,400,000
    2009 PEOPLE IN POVERTY IN U.S. 39,800,000 TODAY 43,600,000
2009 NATIONAL DEBT IN TRILLIONS $10,627 TODAY $14,052
Just take this last item: In the last two years we have accumulated national debt at a rate more than 27 times as fast as during the rest of our entire nation's history. Over 27 times as fast! Metaphorically, speaking, if you are driving in the right lane doing 65 MPH and a car rockets past you in the left lane 27 times faster . . . it would be doing 1,755 MPH! This is a disaster!

I know some have chosen to forget the crisis this President had to deal with thanks to G.W. Bush. I can not, nor will I forget that fact. Vote for a racists millionarie or billionaire, this man Trump was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and has an ego the size of the moon. I voted for Barack Obama in 2008, and plan to be right there voting for him in 2012.

$1,000,000,000...1 BILLION dollars. This is his re-election campaign funds goal. If he can raise that much money for his own Job Security, why cant he raise that much towards the national debt?

This is Obama's first step towards controlling communications for his own ambitious purposes. Obama already has a complicit mainstream media, so the only medium allowing free dissent is the internet. Obama knows the power of the internet, as he used it to raise the money which got him into the Whitehouse. And, he knows that those who oppose him actively use the internet to communicate and rally support. This attempt by Obama at controlling our communications, as well as controlling propaganda, is chilling. America must stop this, before it gets started. Obama, and his fellow thugs, Pelosi, Reid, Holder, Napolitano, and the rest, must be removed from our government, before our freedoms are taken, and our country is destroyed !!!

We're living in an internet age, Howard. You don't have to sign up or subscribe to the BarackObama.Com if you choose not to. He's NOT forcing anyone to. Even the ones who HAVE, and have now changed their minds about him and his handling of the issues causing this nations problems, have the option to disconnect or unsubscribe from his e-mails! It appears that some of you are still angry that the man still has so many supporters, who still see through the rhetorical propagandist blaming of HIM for everything!

I, myself fall in the POOR AMERICAN CLASS, and I respect, appreciate and understand what he's doing so far, in his 'genuiine' efforts to bring us as a nation back to it's feet! I understand that much of the fix is and has to be projectively longterm; WE GOT HERE OVER THE LONGTERM! This means we may not see good results of the policies the administration is putting in place today! This tedious fete is NOT microwaveable; meaning everything will NOT show it's perfect work today! Yesterday? No way! UNREALISTIC!
