Picture of the Week

WASHINGTON (CNN) - This week has been all about campaigning – both for his message on debt-reduction and fiscal reform and also campaigning for his re-election bid. CNN White House Producer Shawna Shepherd captured this moment at President Obama's first town hall of the week, at Northern Virginia Community College, where he began his quest to connect with the American people about debt-reduction and bringing down the deficit.

Barry just to remind you that 913 US soldiers lost their lives in Afghanistan during your watch. Spend more time managing the wars and less time goofing off. I am sure the guys on patrol love seeing pictures of you like this.

The best way to reconnect with the American people is to keep your campaign promises and bring home the troops. Do that and you would not have to spend a dime on re-election.

When PRES OBAMA does bring home all the troops, he'll have to fight, all but unto death with the GOP, BUSH/CHENEY/RUMSFELD and even a few Republicanly/Corrupted Democrats and other war profitteers who're hooked up and running businesses overseas in those war zones! Why do some folk try to fake they don't REALLY know why this PRESIDENT hadn't brought everybody home yet? HE'S THREATENED! Your greedy WASHINGTON WAR benefactors, will have his head! Oh, anyone elses head too,who may try! Stop the fake dramatics!

@Jay in NC -–Why don't you tell us how many lost their lives when Bush was on watch. He started the wars. How many in Iraq? How many died when his father started the Gulf War? It's pathetic how obsessed you are with President Obama. He did not want these wars. They were inherited.

630 US soldiers in 8 years were lost in Afghanistan under President Bush. Barry has lost 1 1/2 times as many in only 2 years.

You are wrong, Barry did want these wars. In fact during his Nobel Prize speech he called the war in Afghanistan a just war. He has escalated the war by sending over 100,000 additional men and women to fight. Undoubtedly it is his responsibility, as commander he could end them any day.

Don't be so narrow minded, just because I do not agree with Barry does not mean that I did agree with President Bush. I posted on this blog many times that he should bring the men home. Also do not be a hypocrite, if you think the war was illegal, unjust, or that President Bush should not have started them, then why are you now supportive of Barry? Stand up, demand the right thing, demand from whoever is president that they should end the wars.

A note about Barry inheriting problems. I recall Barry begging to be president, saying that he could solve the problems, that he was the smartest person for the job. He is now running around the country asking to be re-elected. Johnson and Nixon did not complain about inheriting a war. You will also not find a recored of President Truman complaining about 'inheriting' WW2. All other presidents acted mature, realized that they were taking on responsibilities that they may or may not have agreed with. It is called being a professional. Tell the truth, would you want your heart surgeon saying, oh no, look at this mess I inherited, spend his time complaining about your former doctor. Or do you expect them to do the best they can do with their skills and get to work solving your problem.

@Notfooled; You were absolutely correct! He did not want these wars; and yes, they were absolutely inherited. OBAMA did say AFGHANISTAN may have been a just war, because that was where BIN LADEN was said to be hold up. Obviously, that was where we should've been focused; spending all of those taxpayer dollars, notwithstanding all of the lives that were lost in IRAQ, IN THE FIRST PLACE, all those years! Bush claimed we were retaliating against 911 and then went into IRAQ after Saddam and the OIL instead!?!?

@Notfooled, YOU are not wrong, you are not narrowminded and you are certainly not a hypocrite! From what I've read of your analyzing of the political sphere, as well as your good sensible understanding of the actions the OBAMA administration has been taking, is indicative of a high intelligence, knowledge and tolerance of the real world; a sensitivity to the man at the helm of this almost sinking ship, who's taken every step he could to hold us afloat. Some people don't like that! They pray for his failure!

We were actually in VIETNAM from 1955-1975. I think that occupation started under Republican Pres Eisenhower, so just look at how many presidents had to deal with that 'conflict of greed'! Just look at how many livs were lost and disabled due to that war. PRES JOHNSON was very much upset over that situation and yes he did complain about it; he was caught on a filming and heard to even say that the US may never get 'coloreds' to fight for us again, especially the way we have treated them. Johnson lost sleep!

Johnson, who took over after they killed KENNEDY and if I remember right that was the secret reason he was killed anyway; he was contemplating a drawdown in VIETNAM and the war profiteers weren't having it. Yes, Johnson and Nixon inherited it and did complain about it; made promises often to end it. Finally Nixon did and they didn't kill him, they impeached him over what's known to the WORLD as 'WATERGATE'! His life after that was literally over after that. It was a public assassination on paper!

If Truman didn't complain about WW2, it's probably because all of the work had been done by Roosevelt. Truman took the oath on April 12, 1945, which was the same day Roosevelt died. The war was declared over on July 26, 1945! Truman actually ushred in the Cold War with the Soviet Union! The rant about the heart problem is assinine and stupid. It is not an accurate example of what has been happening here. My mother says hello to you too, Notfooled!

Obama begged to be president?! He campaigned and ran for president just like all the rest of the candidates did. Some folk are in denial about it, but the man was voted for by the masses and won! As I've said oftentimes said on this blog, he was 'elected' not 'selected' like I remember GWB was, twice! VOTER FRAUD AT IT'S BEST! Oh, but now all of a sudden, the big voter fraud conspirators are out here trying to make something stick to say that there were problems in OBAMA's election! That didn't work either!
