What's for lunch? SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (CNN) - During President Obama's four-hour visit to Puerto Rico, he made a surprise stop for lunch at the Kasalta Bakery, near San Juan's beaches to dine with the president of the opposition party, Alejandro Garcia Padilla. What did the leader of the free world order? A "medianoche" sandwich - which is a Cuban sandwich with ham, pork, swiss cheese, pickle and mustard on sweet bread and 2 ham croquettes. He washed it down with a bottle of H2O. |

I agree with you. It is crap; just more crap! If it wasn't such a scandal, these clowns would make sure we knew what he did in the washroom and what time that was! LOL! I'm sure they know! However, since I read your post, I went back and read the 'crap' again. Did you notice the name of the sandwich he chose to eat? It was a 'medianoche'. Media-noche? Like 'night media' maybe? I guess he was symbolically eating them up, like they eat him up day and night! Maybe took a 'mediadia'? day media? To eat up later!

Sort of the scaled down Cuban version of a Dagwood sandwich. You can obviously tell the CNN reporter for this particular section doesn't cover in depth news.

Yes, Jay. I think everybody knows this is a blog set up for 1600 Pensylvania Avenue, but still, what he eats? What he drinks? I don't remember ANY other past president being that scrutinized. When Bush, Clinton or any other president traveled, we didn't hear all about what they ate, drank or wore while they were away! I don't remember anybody even caring! One time we heard about a Bush meal when he 'alledgedly' got food poisoning off somewhere. It's harrassive, intrusive overkill! OBAMA handles it though!
Scrutinized? Really? What were his college grades? What are the details of him getting into college? How was his college bills paid for? Let's see all of his emails while he has been in office.
