A bipartisan win on the golf course

Washington (CNN) – President Obama and Speaker Boehner found themselves on the same side for once Saturday – teaming up to beat Vice President Biden and Ohio Gov. John Kasich on the golf course in a nail-biter that was decided on the 18th hole.

The victory netted the winning team $2 apiece, according to a joint statement released by the White House and the Speaker’s office. After finishing their round, the foursome headed to the patio of the course’s clubhouse to grab a cold drink, catch some U.S. Open coverage and visit with service members.

Now be a team in Washington and get this country back on track. Enough of this foolishness. Work together for the sake of the USA. Think about all of the citizens , not only the rich.

The problem is the dems and BO think working together means doing what they say they want.

way to look forward!!! If people don't put a stop to stupidity (i.e. look at your comment) then things will never change.

Your comment kind of reminds me of my kids "but last week, he said this and he did that" except that (I presume) you are a grown man, so are the politicians but my kids are 9 and 11 and not running a country

CNN should be ashamed. The media should be calling out Obama on this obscene display of apathy. So our leaders can play golf on expensive, exclusive courses - but find it difficult to work together? Wake up America – our president and congress are screwing us on a daily basis and our media is either complicit or so dumb that they don't get it. When will the media wake up to the plight of the common man that Obama and Pelosi have wrought?

Agreed Notfooled. That's always been the reasonable request of most intelligent libs and cons.

I hope president and the House speaker talked about cigarette during their golf summit. President successfully quit smoking about a year ago while House speaker decided to take it easy, He said basically smoking is just a personal habit. Then exact one month ago, an Arab-American comedian said on CNN that "Arabs LOVE smoking". I have no idea how to connect these dots. Even I do know certain gamers out there have tried to use Catholic or Islam to dump troubles to ordinary people, but I can't figure out who is hurting who. No kidding.

If Boehner and Kacish were serious about cutting wasteful military spending they would stop dragging their feet on the closing of the M1 Abrams Tank factory, in Lima, Ohio. The military wants to it close, for at least 3 years, because they don't need more of that type of tank. It is senseless to keep producing something that is not needed.

Glad they had fun. I bet 80 cents of the 2 dollars they earned was borrowed from some Chinese dude.

Now let's hope they can work together & figure out how to eliminate the deficit so we can start paying down the debt.

Well, it appears that your claim against the Dems and 'BO' is what Bush and his posse thought. 'LET'S STAY THE COURSE'! It seems the Dems did. They went right along with what the repugs and 'W' said to do on everything. Bush is out now and the repugs are running interception, holding-up, and blocking any and everything that the Dems put forward, because it's not what THEY say to do! They still EXPECT the Dems to do what THEY say do. So I say to Pres Obama...go ahead and be more like 'W', be the 'DECIDER'!
