Obama to start tweeting - himself

President Obama's re-election campaign is vowing President Obama will actually start tweeting himself. The @BarackObama account was active throughout the 2008 presidential campaign, but Obama himself did not use it. Obama's first ever real tweet came from the Red Cross twitter feed in January of 2010.

(Mashable) - U.S. President Barack Obama will start regularly tweeting from his official Twitter account.

In an update Saturday, it was announced that the President's re-election staff would be managing his social media presence and accounts on Facebook and Twitter.

A rep also revealed that the Commander In Chief would be penning tweets of his own and that "on Twitter, tweets from the President will be signed '-BO.'"

    I guess none of his aides could ever add '- BO' to a tweet.

    I don't tweet and I'm not on Facebook. But, then, I guess there are those who would consider me old. I'm not a Luddite by any means. I like technology when it benefits me. But I think both provide a little too much exposure. I prefer a modicum of privacy.
    That said, in the case of the President, it could give him visibility with younger voters and, therefore, an edge against his competition, unless they do the same. Even if they do, the field is so crowded right now that it tracking the Republicans via Twitter or Facebook could be a bit too much 'noise'. Whereas the President would stand out, since he IS the President.

    URGENT – CAN SOMEONE WITH THE MEANS PLEASE GET SOME FISH TO THE PENGUINS AND SEALS. THEY ARE GOING HUNGRY SINCE SO MANY FISH ARE DEAD NOW THAT THE WATERS ARE HEATING UP AND THE COMMERCIAL FISHING INDIUSTRY HAS TAKEN TOO MUCH.

    i need health care i cant afford to buy it cause my husband is on a fixed incom i also have filed for disability but not yet have it cant get health care till im found disabled in the mean tim i have been dignosed w/ fybromygia diabetis asthma chlestol high blood pressure and depression can he help some 1 like me im just a low class wife and mother of 1 my husband use to work 30 years and made 50 thousand a year now im not covered with any thing thank you
