Obama to Fort Drum

President Obama will visit Fort Drum in upstate New York on Thursday, a day after addressing the nation about his plan to draw down troops in Afghanistan.

He will meet with Gold Star families as well as soldiers, many whom have recently returned from Afghanistan.

Fort Drum is home to the 10th Mountain Division which has had numerous deployments to Afghanistan.

This visit is closed to the press.

    Try what Jerry? My husband is also a Vietnam Veteran of the USMC. What do you mean? OBAMA shouldn't visit with the families or FORT DRUM? Fraud?

    My son is with the 10th, served in Afghaistan, was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and is hopeful he will meet the President. Don't speak for all of us Vets. Remember the part of your Oath "To obey all orders of the President of the United States."
