POTUS's schedule for Monday, July 25, 2011

The negotiations for the debt ceiling talks continue without any movement so far. There are no meetings at the White House scheduled today but as a senior administration tells us, "as you know, the situation is fluid." Meanwhile, the president has his usual briefings and a meeting with his senior advisors. The public events on his schedule include afternoon remarks to the National Council of La Raza, which is a national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy group. Later he welcomes the San Francisco Giants to the East Room to celebrate their 2010  World Series victory. They have the night off from playing before heading to Philadelphia to begin a three game series against the Phillies.

Anything with George W. Bush's name on it needs to expire, or be repealed. He created this mess with his tax cuts for the wealthiest few...that... a.) didn't grow the economy, b.) didn't create jobs, and c.) left unfunded debt.

He took a surplus, a thriving economy, 22 million in jobs growth from the Clinton term, and turned it into another doubling of the national debt. He didn't pay for anything, let the infrastructure rot, that is totally wrong.

Jean, you like reading old news articles, check out this from CNN.

      http://articles.cnn.com/2008-10-13/politics/wall.bush-obama_1_obama-affirmative-action-teaching-abstinence?_s=PM:POLITICS

Commentary: Obama and Bush are not so far apart. They named 20 points that President Bush and Barry agree on. Many of President Bushes 'failures' are the very bills that Senator Barry voted for.

Despite the fact that you are absolutely right about the legacy of Bush the son I would like to know why there are still so many people in the US ready to vote again for the GOP? In Canada where I live we like to agree on two things : first we like america a lot but second we don't understand americans...Are you blind or what? Do you really believe the GOP crap??!!

It is acronym (or abbreviation) for: President of the United States. I don't think they have ever meant it in a bad way.

The President picks, as his sparing mate (and so, ptmuseprive, of similar stature) someone who is 2/3rd's entertainer. No bash on Rush, God bless, and I listen to him, but all the talk radio guys and gals claim to be "playa's" in the game. Its only so if the politico's lose their balance and believe the hype.Strap in, boys 'n girls, the next 4 years will be quite the ride.
