POTUS Day Ahead: Selling jobs in Ohio

President Obama vowed to sell his jobs bill in “all corners” of the country, but so far that effort appears to be limited to swing states and those represented by his GOP opponents in Congress. Fresh off traveling to Eric Cantor’s Virginia district last week, the president on Tuesday heads to Columbus, Ohio – the home state of none other than House Speaker John Boehner and of course one that is chock full of swing voters.

It’s expected the president will hit largely the same themes as he has since his prime-time speech before Congress last week, urging the passage of his $400 billion jobs plan that the White House has called the American Jobs Act. The trip comes a day after the president held a unusual Rose Garden event where, flanked by teachers, veterans, small business owners, and construction workers, he announced he was formally sending his bill to Congress.

i think everyone sees this for what it is: a political staging for Obama's 2012 election campaign. I hope CNN and everybody covers this every day so people will see the transparency and be sick of this guy by 2012. I'm ready to vote him out.

A "rescue operation" in Ohio? Well, at least the POTUS knows where his weak spots are. Ohioans are not impressed with President Obama. This articles states: "Press Secretary Jay Carney will gaggle on Air Force One" <– DEFINITELY one of CNN's most hard-hitting Obama-Whitehouse news commentaries I've seen to date..

Yeah ... Obama ... continue to feverishly HARD sell your failing policies to Americans, instead of spending your time fulfilling your duties as president, from the last time your were elected. Your strategy of pandering to the free loaders, and malcontents could possibly work. After all, appealing to the lowest common denominator provides you with a huge audience ... even if the results of your self-serving efforts will be to transforming America into mediocrity .

The president is going to have to work hard to rally people. Job seekers will be easier to convince. These people are holding their resumes in hand. All they really want is an opportunity.

CC; I don't see why you'd think such things considering all the closed-door meetings "The Most Tranparent Administration in History" has held to date. Don't some belief systems say hell is "the underworld" and define hell's location as the center-of-the-earth? When Obama and Immelt dig their way to China to sell all GE's MedTech and Aviation secrets to the Chinese they'll have to pass right by hell as they tunnel – it seems to me this would be a perfect opportunity for the POTUS to layover and try to sell ice in hades. I'm sure many Demon-crats reside there and they'd all like some fresh ice-cubes for the Kool-Aid they're still drinking. After he and Immelt dig their collective asses back from China, I fully expect the POTUS to be able to answer the question "Exactly what IS a shovel-ready job?". Perhaps an Obamunist from the gallery thinks they know? Perhaps there's a container-ship (a "slow boat from China?) is steaming toward the USA with enough Chinese-made shovels for every unemployed person in America? Maybe it's our Christmas present? "Shovel-ready jobs for all! Ho-Ho-Ho!". Americans are stupid; if we'd only learn the Chinese work-ethic then 10% of us would die in mine-collapses and other industrial accidents and our 9% unemployment rate would disappear. The flower-'n-funeral industries would rally and we'd have prosperity. Will Jay Carney operate a shovel? (CAN Jay Carney operate a shovel?).

You wanna help people get jobs? Simple Repeal Obama Care and extend the Bush Tax Cuts for at least 10 more years.

Hey! If you don't have a job, your job folded, moved overseas, merged into another company, reduction in force was implemented, unless you can step right on over into the same or like job somewhere else, or go back to school, learn a new 'trade', it just comes down to either you want to work or you don't! I'm a liberal who believes in that, although we've been accused of wanting all for nothing! If you think you're too good, 'ELITISTS', too high-classed, too suave to lift a shovel, push a cart then STARVE!
