Morning Briefing: Obama's got his groove back?

President Obama’s got his groove back?  That’s what some Democrats think after he has struck a decidedly more aggressive tone toward congressional Republicans over the last month.  But based on his static poll numbers, independents appear less than wowed.

Meanwhile, the White House is no doubt keeping an eye on the Republican presidential field, where Chris Christie announced (again) he is not running, Herman Cain is surging in the polls, and Rick Perry is reporting an impressive fundraising haul.

It’s all part of the 1600 Report’s Morning Briefing below:

Everyone knows that Obama has not been able to get anything through Congress because the Republicans have made it plain that they will do everything in their power to stop the President from succeeding. When will the Republicans stop holding America hostage? When will they put the American people first and stop trying to pad the pockets of the rich? It is time for them to PAY UP! It is time for them to pay their fair share. Obama extended the tax cuts to try to keep things flowing.

I never wanted to play the race card becasue I believe the people had spoken with Obama's electiion, but I have never seen such animosity and hatred for a President in all my short time here on earth. It is like they will let the country got to hell in a basket before they let him do anything!

If Obama's Job's Bill can't create jobs then at the very least give it an up or down vote!

Keep going after them Obama and do not let up for one d–m minute. Stay on the offensive and take your words to the American people .Let them decide! And if you are not successful then let the chips fall where they may! It is a shame what they are doing and sometimes it is not all about politics... Somtiimes it's about common sense.

Actually people are tired of seeing the National Debt go up, and up, and up and jobs dissapear like summer snow. Obama may mean well but his plan has failed, here as well as in the old Soviet Union. The Liberal policy will always fail as much as they keep trying it.

I don't think so. I think he is losing ground everyday and his rhetoric doesn't sound like a hard line, it sounds desperate to me. Thank you.

Obama has failed in every context of the word. He WILL be a one-term president- there really isn't much of a chance for him winning a second term anymore. He is driving the country into a double dip recession, and when the supreme court nullifies the health care mandate next ya, the last 4 years will have been wasted. Republicans will win back the senate in 2012 and with control, many of these enacted policies will be reversed. Just review Israel policies, immigration policies, banking legislation. EPA policies, war policies, Eric Holder issues, transparency lies, debt crisis, etc., etc- this guy doesn't have a clue how to lead people and manage a country......

    What groove?

All he knows how to do, is squander our money, and then pretend it was for our own good.......which amounts to telling total lies.

That is exactly what the GOP/TEAPARTY pathetics are doing Haneef! They are strategically and systemically holding the nation hostage with the exception of the wealthy, until after the election in 2012, when they think they will have won! It's their ultimate mission to make sure OBAMA doesn't get re-elected; so who in his right mind would vote for a President who hasn't done a thing for the nation? That's their stupid plan...but the problem for them is, we see what's happening and WE ARE IN OUR RIGHT MINDS!
