Pres. Obama to hit the road...again

President Barack Obama is headed out on another bus tour, according to new information from a White House official. The president’s second such tour since taking office will bring him through North Carolina and Virginia – two states he won in 2008 that promise to be crucial states on any path to victory in 2012.

Although the specific stops are still unknown, the official confirmed that the tour will take place from October 17 to 19, and will primarily focus on urging congress to pass the president’s jobs proposal, the American Jobs Act. If the itinerary of this trip is anything similar to the president’s August bus tour through the Midwest, it will likely be chock-full of “off the record” retail campaign stops, informal meetings with small groups of voters, as well as larger campaign-style rallies and town hall meetings.

Just because the approval rating polls do not favor the President does not mean those same people are going to vote Republican. Its one thing to say they want more from their President, quit another to say they want the Republicans in power who favor the 2% rich. Especially when so many are suffering and the money the rich are making is thrown in their faces. Take a look at Wall Street for a good example. Polls can be deceiving.

Spending more our our tax dollars, illegitimately, on his campaign fund raising.

Of course, when you have nothing to do, because all of your proposals are sooooooo bad, even your own party won't pass them.......

He is always on the road on the publics dime. He still doesn't know that TV was invented a long time ago. He even listed his daughters as senior staff when Michelle went to Africa this year so he would not have to pay for them out of his own pocket. Solyndra, Lightsquared, GE, fast and furious. Truth, the American people and justice don't matter, only his reelection.

hmm.. talking to small groups of voters, holding town hall meetings something that is foreign to boehner and cantor and now folks are protesting on their lawn too funny. How come only Obama knows how to ask how we as americans are feeling? I think it's because he's the only one who gets us & cares about people over corporations. Keep your message traveling Mr. President. Its good for the country

@ mikle......you are pitiful. Every one of your posts are silly, petulent, innane and foolish. You are a FOX News bumper sticker and that's about the totality of it....... zero facts / and your posts wouldn't interest any person with a small modicum of rationality.

The president's job is to hear what American's have to say. This cannot be done just staying in the White House. This would be as dumb a question as asking "Why do reporters travel so much?". They feel they have a better understanding if they see a situation first hand.

Regardless of where the president is spending his day he is on duty 24/7 X 365 days.

I have a feeling you are the one with the problem of comprehension; since you are commenting on something so dumb.

I would say the reason this recession has lasted this long is that it is the most severe we have experienced since the great depression. It didn't happen overnight, it will not be cured quickly because much of the world is experiencing the same problems. That and he is trying to deal with it against a heavy head-wind of teapotty idiots who fight his every attempt to pass legislation that would cure the problem.

Go Mr. president Meet the common people. Looks like you are the only sane candidate in 2012.
Keep us safe from those Muslim lunatics and you got my vote.

Romney -Mr. Flip flop. Done some good things as Governor but too coward to take the credit.
Perry – Bible thumping crazy. Even worse than Bush.
Cain – Does not like to read
Paul – too old. Would have been a good candidate 20 yrs back
    Bachman – Clueless
Huntsman – good man, no chance
    Gingrich – Hypocrite
    Santorum – who?

@mikle, reading your perpetual kva kva kva and WHERE IS YES WE CANs over and over, I'd think you'd hope OBAMA would be headed to your backyard so you could ask him THAT personally! BTW, I'II tell you once more... He said yes WE can! Not yes HE can! And that note is sent out to ALL of you OBAMA crucifiers, haters and antagonists! Did you even know FORMER PRESIDENT JIMMY CARTER or are you just copying what you saw someone else write like you usually do? Tell us one thing that made him the worst until now,LOL!

Did you really think a community organizer would go about this any other way? The obama plan is to destroy america. The actions, the results can point to no other direction. Open your eyes and you will see it. Look at the actions. Look at the actions. Everything obama is doing hurts america in one way or another.

Lawyer, Author 5 books, Illinois State Senator 1997-2004...6 years, United States Senator 4 years, Council to the Mayor of Chicago, College Professor, he worked at all these jobs longer than the 3 years he worked as a community organizer. He taught Constitutional Law at University of Chicago Law School for 12 years.

Again you make noise with nothing solid to say.

...one more thing mikle, there must be a whole lot of 'change' going on up there in DC. Why do you think all this ruccous is going on in Washington everyday and on these blogs. Some people hate...and some people resist change. They fight it with all their might...they don't want it! The biggest change that happened in Washington was an African American man was elected President of the United States. Everything from then on has been obstructed or 'passed' under great strife and embattlement, period!

@makom8; don't be brainwashed! OBAMA is NOT destroying America! What's destroying America are the demons railing from within the social/eco-political/ethnic system of treason, greed, lies, obstruction, self-seeking, racism, hatred, supremacy, double-standards, abusive language, disrespect, insubordinaton, sabatoge, 90% of the media, even transparency, and by ALL of you Anti-American well-wishers for the total failure of a US President, even at the demise of America! SATAN is its handler of destruction!

    President Obama,
I voted for you, and I believe in you. Louisa, VA is my hometown. This is where I plan to raise my children. When you asked for our help, and you needed our votes, YES we did get as many friends as possible to come out to the polls. When you needed us to stand behind your decisions and to back your choices, YES we did pray for you and your strength. My church, Living Water Fellowship, was founded in Louisa Virginia, and every week, we take the time to pray for your family and their safety. We are only asking that you take an hour out of your campaign schedule
to come and SEE the destruction that has been done in Louisa, Va. FEMA has denied us help, and now, THIS TIME, we need you. I sit here, with tears in my eyes writing this, because there has only been one time that I can say that I am disappointed in you, Mr. President. We know that you can talk the talk, now walk the walk.... show us that you care about every piece of this country, not just the cities and towns that bode well for your political agenda. Louisa, Virginia needs you. Please... Come...
