Mr. Ferrell goes to Washington

,

Comedian Will Ferrell popped into the briefing room on Friday afternoon while on a tour of the White House with press secretary Jay Carney. Ferrell is in Washington D.C. to receive the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on Sunday at the Kennedy Center. While in the briefing room, Ferrell stood behind the podium and took a picture with Carney while saying jokingly, “Jay, why are you forcing me to take a picture? This is all for your benefit.”

According to the Kennedy Center, Sunday’s awards ceremony will include “a lineup of the biggest names in entertainment, including Jack Black, Green Day, Larry King, Nathan Lane, Adam McKay, Lorne Michaels, Conan O'Brien, John C. Reilly, Paul Rudd, Maya Rudolph, and Molly Shannon.”

Wait until 30 seconds into the video above for the funny picture moment.

He should have come out as Dubya, that would have been priceless.

Will Ferrel is funny? Since when? I know he's an ambitious full of hisself idiot – but funny? Since this is going on now, I blame Obama for another piece of mediocrity corrupting a society that nurtured the likes of Mark Twain/Sam Clemmens.

I've always been curious to ask: Do you KNOW that you're an idiot?

Sorry there Noodles, I tend to agree, Ferrell is funny in some of his skits on SNL but by in large in his movies he seems only appealing to the simple minded. Those same fans that find it hilarious when someone breaks wind in an Eddie Murphy movie about fat people or burst out in uncontrollable laughter when someone makes reference to human excrement or other bodily function. How I long for the days of yesterday....before the great progressive liberal thrust of dumbing down of our society.

Amen! The great thing about this country is we have always been able to laugh...unfortunately we currently have a bunch of immature idiots that think being mean and despicable is good. I guess they never heard that laughter is good for our health it reduces stress, and a smile takes less muscles than a frown.

      Monster Zero,

I would bet your IQ probably matches your name , IQ = 0, Also, its a good chance you voted for Dubya...twice

Did you think that was joke? Well, the majority of Americans voted for Obama. So when that means, the rest of us already knew you and your kind are idiots.

Might want to spell check Samuel's last name before you post idiocy. Let's see: BinLaden dead, Anwar Awlaki dead, al Qaeda reeling and now Colonel Qaddafi dead (without a single American boot on the ground) Tunisia about to vote, Egypt free and about to vote, troops coming home from Iraq on New Year's, Libya about to write a democratic constitution, Syria next of the list and on and on. The Bushies must be dying of envy. My friends it could not get any better. Mr. President, well done and thank you from a parent of a soldier.

Why does CNN immediately assume that Will's comment was a joke? In fact, these totally inept Dems desperately need any and all the help they can find.

  8. Laugh @ the morons

Hard to tell who American citizens should take more seriously, Ferrell or the rest of the clowns occupying the White House. Was Ferrell there to interview for a cabinet post or a new czar position?

The conservatives are desperate...they cannot even tip their hat to a funny man. Their comments all sound like something someone would say while down in a bunker. The GOP are DOA in 2012!!!

Good post Clint B, I agree as the daughter, niece, wife, cousin, and friend of soldiers and marines, who have fought for the 'securities' of this nation. I agree on behalf of all troops and veterans. @Dean, Black-face!?!?
