POTUS Day Ahead: Changing the story

The president is back in front of cameras today when he delivers a statement in the Rose Garden at 10:45 urging Congress to end subsidies to the oil industry.

The Senate is expected to take up the measure later Thursday, though its future looks uncertain. Still, the move is the latest from the president to get ahead of the Republican Party on the issue of energy as gas prices continue to spike at the pump.

The statement might also help the White House pivot away from the health care story that has dogged the administration all week.

more snow job.... this guy couldn't tell the truth if it were on the prompter in front of him. He did say the Martin kid could have been his son...well heck that was truthful....after learning more about the kids past...a junkie, thief, and violet angry kid....he certainly fit the profile...after all obama's dad was a violet drunk anymore...it is in the genes.

Jerry, You speak of Martin's past record yet said nothing of Zimmerman's past record! Why is that?

Here we go again, telling the American people that oil companies RECEIVE subsidies, flat out lie, they receive the same tax deductions as other industries, he wants to give more subsidies and taxpayers money to the green energy, yet forgets to tell everyone that the energy department is paying windfarms not to produce.

Just looked up on the US Dept of Energy website to see what you are saying about wind farms is true and can't find any such info. Here's what it states as facts though:
      Quick Facts About Wind Power
•The United States has more than 40,000 MW of installed wind power capacity.
•In 2010, the U.S. wind industry grew 15%, installing 5,115 MW of generating capacity—enough to power more than 1.2 million homes.
•Wind power represented 25% of all new U.S. electric generation capacity in 2010
•Commercial wind energy systems are currently installed in 38 states.

Meanwhile, the FLOTUS day ahead is yet another vacation. This time to Vegas with the girls for Spring Break. I guess the gas prices only affect us regular "folks". I'm sure their paying for it out of their own pocket (sarcasm) because wasn't it Obama who said “You can’t go take a trip to Las Vegas or go down to the Super Bowl on the taxpayer’s dime.”?

You got that right, Chicago is a cesspool of corruption, it ruins things for the whole rest of the state. Taxes raised, tolls raised and liar Quinn won't cut anything and now internet lottery. Two governors in jail, a lying, power hungry mayor and high murder rate. This is where Obama learned how to "govern". Lincoln sure wouldn't recognize this state any more.

It looks like we have some people on here that are clearly uneducated and post anything.. Face the facts here Obama is the best candidate running for office. Furthermore, Jerry, you should be ashamed of yourself with racial comments.. If you understood what Mr. Obama stated about martin was that his son's skin color would be the same. Additionally, lets not forget about our white children that are thuggish, junkies, ect ect get a life man. share your pathetic comments on fox news where you will find many people that hold the same racial views such as Coach Geraldo Rivera.....

How will Obama get re-elected when 52 million Americans don't have health insurance? Obama and company need to think
single payer and pay for it with taxes. Yes charging a tax to pay for something is legal (Medicare)

Note to our high court: Keep politics out of our decision making.
