POTUS congratulates the Wildcats![]() He may have not picked Kentucky to win the Big Dance, but he did call Kentucky Coach John Calipari to congratulate the Wildcats on their 2012 NCAA championship last night. According to a readout of the call released by the White House, the president said "it was a great game to watch" and was impressed by the team's class and dignity. He also spoke with the Final Four MVP Anthony Davis, who like the president is a native of Chicago. Davis scored only six points but he had 16 rebounds and 6 blocks in last night's 67-59 victory over the University of Kansas. The president had the UNC Tarheels beating Kentucky in his March Madness brackets. UNC lost to number 2 seed Kansas last weekend. This is the eighth national championship for the University of Kentucky Wildcats. The Wildcats will make an appearance at the White House some time in the next several months. |

Obama did horrible in his bracket picks, this of course will never be mentioned.
So what?
I wonder how long it will be before we hear that Kentucky broke rules and their championship is taken away?
Are you another sore loser? Probably don't even know the facts around the prior vacated final fours do you?
I can honestly care less about college basketball.
He had his championship taken away at UMass and he had illegal players at Memphis. What do you think I am missing? Kentucky is also a one and done school now – go there and be a superstar freshman then leave after freshman year.
UMass was based on Camby tacking money from an agent prior at UMass. Coach Cal was cleared of any wrong doing or knowledge... though fair to say that he was the head coach and the buck stops with him. The second was due to Derick Rose having someone take the SAT for him in high school. The NCAA cleared him to play and Memphis even submitted for a second review with the NCAA prior to playing as word leaked out that some players were being looked at. NCAA, even they they were duped as well, penalized the entire team. In this instance, I really have no fault to coach Cal.
In terms of the one and done, that is the rule.
Sponge-Bob,
His bracket picks are not important. His policies are!
WHEN EVER OBAMA STEPS IN IT POLITICALLY ... WHICH IS ALMOST ALL THE TIME ... HE TRIES TO CHANGE THE CONVERSATION BY ALIGNING HIMSELF WITH A POPULAR CELEBRITY, OR SPORTS FIGURE ... IN THE MEANTIME, THE COUNTRY IS CIRCLING THE BOWL, THANKS TO OBAMA'S FAILED POLICIES. SAVE AMERICA ... DUMP OBAMA AND HOLDER !!!
Thank you Steveo What a nasty bunch of jerks posting today. Get a life. Obama 2012
Hmmm, I see you posted here...
BTW, tell us why you would vote for Obama after seeing what he has done the last 3+ years.
