FWIW – (since y'all appear to be asleep) Obama isn’t the first U.S. president willing to talk to Islamist groups or even specifically the Muslim Brotherhood. Most notably, the George W. Bush administration — where Rove was a top adviser to the president — talked to Brotherhood politicians during the short-lived “Freedom Agenda.”

Thank you for reminding me of that. I had no problem with President Obama meeting with them anyway, There are many Muslim Americans too...he's also their President!! I had no problem whatsoever with him sitting down and talking to the 'brotherhood' since I've always known and realized that's what thoughtful and intelligent people do to address concerns that may be injurious to all sides. Thank you for your post.

APPEAR is the key word. Probably need to dig a little further than just external APPEARANCES! Let me suggest a starting point: How do they treat the women back home? Do the women have rights of any type? Are they treated with any type of dignity? Perhaps you are just mesmerized by their APPEARANCE!! The mission of so-called "terrorist" groups such as Al Qaeda(sp?) and other groups was to wage battle against dictatorships such as Mobarek(sp?) and Hussein, whom we supported for decades. CNN is choosing a religion to put at the top of the hit list as the US embraces every regional drug-kingpin and/or strongarm-dictator..... Tu(Vietnam), the Hussein Family(Iraq), and now Karzai(sp?)(Afghanistan).
