Women pivotal in campaign 2012

Ladies have seen their share of political attention this season, and they may have men – specifically white men – to thank.

Recent polling shows President Barack Obama with a double-digit lead over Romney among women voters, an edge which some Democrats attribute to a GOP 'war on women.'

Obama and expected Republican nominee Mitt Romney have each been appealing to women voters, with the president's reelection campaign looking at a ceiling of support among white males.

He lost that voting bloc in 2008 to GOP candidate John McCain, 53% to 41% in CNN exit polls, though President Obama’s standing was above historical levels of Democratic support among white male voters.

The women will have to decide wether the Obama team,or the Romney team has a better chance of putting our Nation's failing economy on a path to recovery. The U.S. national debt is about 16 trillion dollars, which is more than the combined national debt of the EURO & UK Nations, which is about 12 trillion dollars. Ombama's failed economic policy plans have added 4 to 5 trillion the our Nation's debt, and has not added sustainable jobs.

@ourjungle,most of those trillions were spend trying to repair the failed economic decisions of the past administration.Rightwing obstructionist, much like yourself ,don't like being reminded of, your PAST FAILURES.Romney or anyone else republican for that matter, would be worse,a known fact in correcting this economic nightmare.Their policies with sheltering the 1%ers ,just adds enormously to this deficet,,something that your republican hypocrites have refused to take the credit for.So don't preach economics to intelligent people, when you were the party that created this economic catastrophe, that's hypocricy in the highest level.

acdcguy, get your facts straight!Hillary was saying Mitts wife ,who's never had a job is being called out because she has no idea what's its like to be a single or married mom and still having the responsibilities of paying bills and still caring for children.Mitt calls his wife his economic surrogate,a fine title for a women, who as you know probleby had maids and nannies raise their five sons.Read more and you'll find how much Mitt really cares about women, his budd Gov.Walker, the Wisconsin wit, just passed a law repealing the equal pay act for women.Say something now you hypocrital idiots, you republicans just can't stop shooting your selves in the feet ,can ya!!!

Face it Ann Romney is not of the 99% of women who do not have the luxury of making a choice of staying home to raise children. Plus 99% of women do not have elevators for their two Cadillacs and a staff of paid help. Which means Ann is pretty clueless just like the rest of the 1%.

I look at the Romney's and Bush's as out of touch and absent the understanding for the real everyday nitty gritty of the world American families face.

In 2004 did you vote for Kerry? If you did, did you consider the wealth of Teresa Heinz Kerry? Was that an issue in 04? I don't know and I may be wrong but I don't think is was an issue for you!

obama is all about division and racism...if it were not for these two methods he would not be where he is today...he thrives on it and it has brought America to her knees. Now the choice comes down to a woman who loves America and one who is only proud of America because her husband was elected president.... not a hard choice to make...if you are not a radical leftist, that is.

Jerry, put your white hood and gown back in the closet, its not the weekend yet.Pres.Obama is for all people, all colors, all races and religions. You're the righteous rightwing racial machine dividing this country with Ryans deficet ,the republicans repealing ACA,taking voters rights away from minorities, contraceptive, healthcare reform for women.I could go on all day with things you hypocrital republicans have done, even during your idols Bushs elustreous years. So pleease, don't write checks with your mouth your ass can't cash,a problematic fact that you republicans still haven't fixed.

Pete, I assume you had a very bad childhood because of the hate you keep putting forth. We get it, you are in love with this president. He does seem like a nice guy, he is just not a fit for the position he is in. He is in way, way over his head.
Romney is exactly what this country needs right now. 4 more years of this administration would be a disaster – especially given the disaster BO has set up for this country in the next several years.
Stop looking at the mess Bush left 3.5 years ago – try looking forward to see what this guy is setting us up for.

        @John
The president is a nice guy, a well educated and thoughtful person who is doing a lot better than the last boozo holding the job. Things are turning around from George Bush's disaster of a failure.
Now as for your take on Mitt Romney's credentials. He is definitely not right for the job....we do not need a Gordon Gecko double for president. Totally lacking in empathy for American workers.

acdcguy staying home is fine but having a nanny ,maid and lots of money help. Most women have to work. Women will decide this election and they have a clear choice. The jerks like jerry make it easy. They don't want to listen to racist like him. He needs to get off welfare and go find a job if anyone will hire him. Doubtful THe economy is moving in the right direction and would move faster if not impeeded by the repo clowns in congress. Obama 2012

Did you expect the GOP to abandon their core beliefs just because Obama was in office? The Dems didn't when Bush was in office! How many times did the Dems impeed Bush or any other GOP president? It is called politics, George! Two parties, 2 sets of ideas! Every once in a while ideas overlap, yet not often enough! Simple politics! Why all of a sudden is everybody acting like this is something new?

What a bunch of B.S. !!! So ... Hilary Rosen is a lesbian career woman, who is raising her children with another lesbian, while criticizing Mrs. Romney for devoting ALL her time to raising her children in a traditional home ??? Too bad we can't fast foward about 10 years, to see how screwed up Rosen's kids are going to turn out !!

I think the key question honestly answered is: Did, or did not Ann Romney work outside the home? If the answer to the question is "No", then it is obvious Ann Romney doesn't have a clue about what women who work outside the home, to support their families, deal with.

Ms. Rosen is therefore correct and is making and honest observation in stating that Ann Romney (who has maids, nannies, and elevators for her Cadillacs) doesn't understand the plight of working mothers. It doesn't mean either Mrs. Romney or Ms. Rosen will be a bad mother...so Howie get off it and get over your clueless self.

I have been a mother, grandmother, a great-grandmother and aunt to 43 which is more experience than you will ever have at being a Mom....believe it or not working Moms turn out some of the greatest kids.

Laughable I doubt if Ann Romney's home could honestly be described as a traditional home.

And I bet the Rosen kids turn out just fine.
