Secondly I know full well if I lost my job like many other Americans, I'd quite possibly lose my house. You sound an awful lot like Trace! Read this clearly, I am not a mindless drone that follows either party for the sake of following a party. Now is that really hard for you to believe? I lam more interested in ideas than political rhetoric! Yes I am conservative by nature but I so what? Good ideas are just that no manner which PARTY they originate! Neither party has a lock on morality or concern for the people!

Obama has been systematically dismantling America, for the past 3 1/2 years ... and, you, want to give him 4 more years, to COMPLETELY destroy this once great country ??? Hope he let's the high schools seniors and parents know that only the Stafford student loan interest after July, 1,2012 maybe goes up, NOT all student loans which he so proudly talks about in his speeches.

OMG, IT WILL COST US 5.8 billion just to extend the lower rate? What the F*#% is this entire program costing us a year? Seems to me organizations who provide loans usually make money. Our government should not be in this business, but as long as it is why can't we at least break even.

Anyone know why after 75 years of Big Liberal Programs, put in place by Democrats the Nation is in worse condition than before the Great Depression of the 1930's. Anyone know why the Federal Government is in the Business of granting Student Loans at half price. The idea, (Snake Oil) is that those students will work, pay taxes and the Government (Taxpayers) will all benifit. And if that is true, why does the Government (Taxpayers) have a nearly 16 Trillion Dollar Federal Debt. As a Senator once said, "A Billion Here, a Billion there, and pretty soon we're talking real money.
Students should pay the going rate because if they get a break today they will expect it the rest of their lives.
