The president's Monday President Obama is spending the day at the White House. (Last time I typed that he was on his way to Afghanistan) He will receive his PDB and meet with senior advisors. Later this afternoon he will participate in a conference call with student leaders and elected officials to discuss the need to keep student loan interest rates low. The president and congress seem to agree student loan interest rates need to stay low but they can't agree on how to pay for it. I know dems, what is another 5 billion when he has already spent 5 trillion...

I WANT TO END MY COMMENTS BY SAYING THAT AMERICA IS THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS HELPED TO RESTORE THE DIGNITY OF AMERICA AS GOD'S OWN COUNTRY. THE BUSH-GORE ELECTION PUT AMERICA IN THE DARK-AGES. PRESIDENT OBAMA'S ELECTION PROVED THAT AMERICA IS STILL THE GREATEST. BRAVO!!!

Take one topic and tell us how it is better. Race relations are worse in this country now than when BO was elected. The job market is getting worse, not better. The unemployment # gets better because jobs are being eliminated. Housing continues to be a major problem. Food is up, gas is up. The middle east is worse. Israel is in much worse shape. Coal plants are closing, this country is drilling less, but fracking is up. But, this administration is putting more policies in place to limit drilling and fracking.
Justina, I am not sure what you think is better, but it is not. If people like you vote this gut back in we will look like France...
Please, this is my last comment/reply on President Obama. I am not a politician but a professional working as a humanitarian field. My comments on President Obama is based on facts not personal opinion. John asked: How is America better today with Presiden Obama? "Betterment" is a state of being with a more fervent hope of a better tomorow. We may not have job or food but more determined that ever before that I can make it if President Obama can make it. The ramifying effect(s) is that with time people pull themselves from the bottom to the top just as President Obama has done. On the long run the economy will improve because more jobs will result from a better determination of everyone not just a few working for a better tomorrow and moves the nation forward.

John ..the job market is getting better .. so, since you stated that the job market is getting worse, it can only mean the rest of your retoric is also false and without any merit whatsoever .. might be best if you go do something else.
The job market is not getting better, no matter what MSDNC is telling you. It was worse under Bush, but it is still very bad. Let me ask you, if the unemployment rate went down to 4% because 1 million jobs were simply eliminated would that be a good number? That is what is happening.
Experts will tell you this country needs to create 250,000 a month to simply break even. Last month we had 115,000 – 135,000 less than the break even point. This country is going further and further in the hole and this president is telling people like you "all is fine" and you people think it is true. It is not.
John .. I am not relying on any one particular group or news media to tell me when the job market is getting better. I listen to a wide variety of people. I have learned not to take any particular person's word for what I want to know. I have put everything I've heard together, and it still comes out that we are much better off now than we were at the end of 2008. And, I have never heard our president tell us that 'all is fine' .. he says it's better, but there's still a lot of work to do. I think I'll take his word for what he said, especially when I sit there and hear him say it .. than what you are saying, he said.

Thank you for your comment on our President! @John, as far as your race relations quip in America, it's nothing NEW!! The Gigantic Elephant never left the room in the first place!!
