Three presidents gather for Bush portrait unveiling

There were smiles, laughter and tears - but little politics - when former Presidents George W. Bush and his father, George H. W. Bush, joined current President Barack Obama at the White House for the unveiling Thursday of the younger Bush's official portrait.

      Me too DEcember 2012! LOL!! However, I do feel he sort of dissed the FLOTUS by claiming his wife was the best FLOTUS, as he jokingly apologized to his his mother!! I think he could have been more tactful with his wording. He could have addressed her as one of the finest First Ladies of The United States'! That would have been leaving and opening not only for Michelle, but Hillary, Jackie, Nancy, and quite a few women who were fine First Ladies!! But that's just me!! I'm also sure that had Obama made a remark like that; even as innocent as it may have been, there'd have been a media firestorm and the blogosphere would've almost had to shut-down!!

        So a man (Bush) compliments his wife and now it's some kind of a diss against the current First Lady? No other president spoke similar words about their wives? Is this the Twilight Zone or something? Guess what Liz, Obama did make similar remarks about his wife and the world kept on spinning on its axis! Good grief!

        Can I diss the Current 1st Lady, here?

        For the first time in her adult life, the Current FLOTUS, is finally proud of the USA!

        Can she move somewhere else?

        Perhaps to Venezuela or Cuba or Kenya or or Greece or North Korea or Iran?
        (Please note I made reference to South America, the Carribean, Africa, Europe, Aisa, and the Middle East)

        We don't need no stinking Socialism in the USA!

        @ First Idiot we are a Socialist nation...we were formed as a Socialist nation with a Capitalistic economic system...but with banks too big to fail, TARP passed in 2008 (who was president in 2008 G W Bush), the Savings & Loan bailout of 1996 who was president then G.H.W. Bush and that corporate welfare cost the American taxpayers $32 billion a year for 30 years). Why should bailouts only be for the1%?

    Oh for the love of Mike! This is on the par of a man telling his mother his wife makes the best biscuits. That one didn't sit too well but...at least he was loyal. I'm sure Michelle and Barbara are level headed ladies with their own personal supporters and they don't feel dissed.

      Start with: "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

      No where does it state: "We the 1% deserve only welfare for the rich...it states "General Welfare" which includes the 99%.
