POTUS's schedule for Friday, June 15, 2012![]() President Obama wraps up his week with a relatively light schedule on tap. He’ll have lunch off-campus somewhere with winners of a campaign contest. (It will be his second off-campus lunch this week!) Then the main event for Friday is a late-afternoon reception in the East Room for LGBT Pride Month. He gave a campaign speech last Wednesday in Los Angeles at a LGBT fundraiser. “I could not be prouder of the work that we’ve done on behalf of the LGBT community,” Obama said last week. “The fight for equality and justice on behalf of the LGBT community is just part of a broader fight on behalf of all Americans. It’s part of our history of trying to make this Union a little bit more perfect.” We should expect similar language as he makes remarks at 5:10p. Beyond that, he’ll leave this evening for a weekend in Chicago (his third trip there in the last month.) The whole family is going with him this time where they will spend the weekend at their house. He’ll have no public events on his schedule for the weekend but Valerie Jarrett’s daughter is getting married on Saturday a few blocks from his house. For the full schedule, click below. Give illegals the right to take the jobs of young US citizens.., check
Sue Florida to keep them from purging illigels from the voter rolls..., check
Blame the current state of the economy on "the other guy".... check
Field soft ball questions from the WH press corp..., check
Raise more money.., check
Mitt Romney wants to import more foreign labor in lieu of educating our own young.
Legal immigration in many cases is just as bad or worse than illegal immigration. They take jobs that American students should be educated to do.
I have no problems with a young person who has been here from childhood who is getting and education, or serving in our military finding as finding a way to citizenship.
American students SHOULD be educated to do.

Jean, the key word is SHOULD. We are no longer leading in math and the sciences, the skills the high tech world requires. So exactly where are these workers going to come from? Wasn't the teachers unions suppose to fix this? Oh wait, my bad, the unions just protect bad teachers! don't waste your time telling me I'm wrong. It takes YEARS to bounce bad teachers!
I know a guy whose job was to bring economic development to next county over from where I live. Companies where interested in coming in because of favorable taxes and the ability to purchase land. One was a solar panel company from overseas. The major malfunction was these companies could not find enough qualified folks!. So yes, we need to import workers with the right skills!
For you to equate LEGAL immigration to ILLEGAL immigration is just silly! Reality bites clearly stated ILLEGAL immigration!
If we are not leading in these fields then we need to spend more money to better educate and train our own first.
Plus the last I heard a large number of the unfilled jobs are for electricians, plumbers, and mechanics....all those train unions you want to kill...that used to train a great number of these workers.
I know roofs sat for ages covered with blue tarp after Hurricane Ike, not due to the lack of enough people having been reimbursed by insurance but due to the lack of enough roofers to repair the damage.
What is wrong with local career centers training new, or re- training unemployed people to fill these jobs? Start first by investing in our own people....not importing more people.
As per usual, like most Rethugliklans you are advocating giving American jobs to foreigners while to letting the infrastructure (of our young and unemployed) ROT!
sorry "trade" unions
What gives with the re-postings? You are the second coming of Howard or something? I re-post to change a moderated word. What are you doing?
At this exact moment I can Google Search and find 69,900 hits for roofers needed asap,136,000 bricklayers needed asap; 337,000 electricians needed asap; 1,740,000 hits for plumbers needed asap; 36,000 for tile-setters asap; 336,000 for welders needed asap; 2,700,000 for mechanics needed asap.
In the past, we have trained our own people for these jobs..and as a nation we need to be doing more for the future....instead of importing people to fill jobs.
Let's get more ILLEGALS as long as they will PAY taxes – – all the US workers want are HANDOUTS – – and not work hard – look at the Zhang kid in the US Open – he comes here at 10 yrs old and says "Hey – it is easier to go to school in USA – less hours – easier task – Let Me stay Here " – and so goes USA – – Illegals will work while the legacy Americans are LAZY – – give them more Benefits, and they'll Vote for you – – Go Obama
