Obama to call for Bush tax cut extensions for those making less than $250K

Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama is expected to call on Congress to pass a one-year extension on the Bush-era tax cuts for people earning less than $250,000 a year.

A White House official said Obama will make the announcement Monday at the Rose Garden, surrounded by working people.

In addition, a campaign official said the campaign will "amplify the president's message on middle-class tax cuts" by hosting a series of events in battleground states all week across the country.

Nope, Republicans. Making a mess that's hard to clean-up while being so-oooo annoying.

Yea. Sure you heard it before. But then did the TP/GOP allow him put his economic policies in place? No. Conservatives operate like the lucifer. Do everything in your power to make a man fail yet have the gal to tell God "hey see? Hes failing!" Not this time though....Romney and his acrobatic politics will lose this year.

Obama has it backwards. What is needed is to extend the Bush Tax Cuts for those making $200,000.00 or more for at least 10 years so business can start hiring. again. Let the Tax Breaks expire for those making less than $200,000.00 so they can statr to pay down the 16 Trillion Dollar Debt.

American businesses are sitting on 2 Trillion of cash. What is their excuse for not hiring? THEY HAVE NONE.

I doubt seriously that American businesses are figuratively sitting on 2 trillion cash. The money is is invested in something. I have read many comments from Liberals and I am beginning to think that you all actually think that business people have boxes of cash under their beds. It is sad that Liberals will not take the time to understand how the banking system, employment, and business work.

BANKS HAVE BECOME TOO BIG TO FAIL EVEN MORE AND IF JAMIE DIMON CAN SHRUG OFF A 2 BILLION DOLLAR LOSS, YOU CAN BET YOU'RE A-S-S THEY ARE SITTING ON TRILLIONS AND ARE NOT HIRING. HEY, IT'S YOUR MONEY RIGHT? SO DON'T COMPLAIN WHEN THE PRIVATE SECTOR CAN BARELY EKE OUT 80,000 JOBS AND THE GOVT CANNOT HIRE MORE COPS AND FIREFIGHTERS BECAUSE OF OBSTRUCTION FROM REPUBLITARDS.

DEcember 2012 – Considering what Dimon did it proves the Frank/Dodd bil/law didn't do a thing. Waste of paper

@cindy...well, you see business people invest/spend money when it makes sense unlike liberal politicians who spend it to get reelected and feed their egos. You have a chance to elect a businessman who earned an MBA and a JD from Harvard school of business and law (respectively)(both degrees, one and MBA and the other a doctorate of law) or hang onto the community orgaizer with the shady past and fanatic weird friends.... YOUR VOTE will decide your childrens futures...so what is going to be? Judging your post it will be a foolish self serving vote for obama/sorento or who ever he is.

  4. Obama Sucks

It never ceases to amuse me when people keep saying that "TP/GOP" kept Obama from putting his economic policies in place. His part had a super majority for the better part of a year, it controlled both sides of congress for two years.

And during that time did they actually push these great economic policies through? Hell no. They push through an "affordable health care plan." A plan which even the Obama administration estimates will cost us 1 million jobs. A health care plan that is the #1 reason given by corporations for why they're not hiring. And to make things even better.. this "affordable health care plan" has actually resulted in the LEAST affordable health care in US history. By the end of the year we will be very close to having DOUBLED the cost of health insurance since Obama took office.

Catholics believe in the Eucharist, Baptist believe in Total Immersion. Repubs. believe that tax cuts & deregulation is the answer to all economic woes. Impervious to facts.

This election reminds me of the 1948 US Senate election in Texas. LBJ ran a three way race for the democratic nomination. One of the other candidates was the former Texas Gov Coke Stevenson, a self made man with undisputable ethics and past...a real American hero in EVERY sense of the word. It is a well known fact that LBJ stole the election/nomination through ballet stuffing, intimidation, smear tactics and lies. Minimal study will inform you of the destruction LBJ wreaked on our country, domestic and foreign. He spent us into bankruptacy (Nixon had to take us off the gold standard to pay the debts) and there was the Vietnam war and the loss of 58,000 young Americans... The choice this fall is just as stark...the radical community organizer with the shaddy past and friends or the self made man who actually has a resume and open past and associates who loves his family and country and everyone in it... God help us.

And the U.S. Supreme Court decided to make G.W. Bush president even though Gore won the popular vote by half a million.

        CynthiaL,

Between all the hanging chads, pregnant chads, missing chads, and invisible chads. Folks were looking for ANY and EVERYthing they could to throw the election to Gore. Remember the chads?

Secondly as far as your remarks about popular vote, you may want to Google or Bing "Electoral College".

"Landslide Lyndon" is the major Culprit in the nearly 16 Trillion Dollar Federal Debt but most people have no clue. He was maybe the biggest "Community" Organizer and the biggest Crook ever in the White House.
