Why don't we simply make it 6 years, 1 term for a sitting president. Obama has basically spent two years on Healthcare and two years campaigning. No matter who gets in next time, this problem should be fixed.

Obama continues to show that he is unscrupulous, and will say, or do anything, in order to get reelected. Four more years of Obama would bring America to it's knees.

Stop with this "The sky is falling with Obama crap" It is old and juvenile. We will still be the world's biggest economy with the meaniest military with its empire. So stop with the reactionary conservative mumbo jumbo sour grapes I told you so nonsense. If a Republican was in there with the same situation you wouldn't be whinning like a little b*tch.

Ohio is important to my wife.
If Romney wins, she gets a Jeep Wrangler.
\If obama wins, she has to take a Honda Spitemobile convertible.

I agree. The Constitution should be amended to where a president serves only 1 6 year term. I believe Congress should have term limits too. I member of the House of Reps should be able to serve at least 10 years in the House and a Senator should serve a 4 year term for at least 2 terms. The president can get stuff done and not be in campaign mode all the time. People need to push for it. Or let the president serve one 8 year term, but when the fourth year is up let the Congress vote to give him or her a vote of confidence like they do in the parliamentary system in England. If two-thirds of the Congress give the president a no-confidence vote in January of his or her fourth year, then an election will be held in November with two new candidates for president.

      • dems cant state facts on obama succuesses because there are none.

mr. harris.have you researched current issues of late.obama throws our tax dollars to many corps. like solyandra, while they return favor with big donations from those tax dollars.and then obama deliberately sets thes american manufacutrers of big ticket appliances, electronics and green energy products like solar panels to fail in america!!how by going behind the backs of american corps..and wage earners, giving huge tax breaks to mexico and china on these very same products imports, that are in direct competition with american manufacutrers, and then preposed to raise american corp. tax to 55% from bush era of 35%.now , please explain to us how obama can justify that.knowing that china pays these wage earners only 3.00 hr.and manipulates their currency, which affords them them to make superior products at a significantly cheaper cost .than american maufacturers that are forced to pay high wages from 18.00 to over 38.00 hr.plus bonuses and benefits.then obama penlizes them on top of that with higher taxation, whilst his foreign friends get huge tax incentive breaks on their imports.and mexico same with appliances, big ticket consumer intems like flat screen tv's.mexico only pays 5.00 a day wages to their manufacturers like whirlpool.maytag, frigedaire lg,.u.s. companies that moved south of u.s. boarder for more friendly wage, taxation and regulatory foreign soil.now with forced obamacare, you will see amass of small bussiness closings.and an exodus of big manufacturers to more trade freindly soil.and we will never as long as there are union, greed, and obamas croonie capitalism ever goingto get these corps. to come back.isnt it ironic that this socialist president speaks with a forked tongue against capitalism, but yet courts the unions, thru their greed and bargaing power rights have ruined our chance at a fair trade agreement, that capitalism was founded on.obamas agenda is to ruin the us ecomony much the same as reagan did to the soviet union.jst as obama manupulates his voter base big donor dem states by allowing them to opt out of obamacare,a total of 21 states now, leaving he dop sttes to flipped the bill for all on ombamacare.where is the fairness in that.tell me sir how much would you as a hard working american help your poor neighbor that has no desire to better his lot,but is willingto continue to take you handouts.after a time you too would weary of this.gop wants to term limit welfare, educated, job training,to get them into the work force, and be productive, pay taxes, and enjoy the prosperity and chance for a better life.why do you dems want to keep the minorities in their place ,continuingto shovel our tax dollars to entitlements, many if not most have never worked a day in their lives to pay into, robbingthose, our kids and grandkids of their inheired right to collect these entitlemnets after years of working being productive and paying into these programs, sir i think you dems need to qiut drinking obamas koolaide.

Obama and his army of stooges can spin, and lie all they want ... but, everyone I know is feeling the weight of a shrinking economy, and higher prices for everything. Anyone who still believes this charlatan is a fool.

If anyone thinks Obama really intends to help the middle class they're completely deluded. He's helped no one so far except for the unions, they got top priority his first term.

America has always been the land of opportunity ... A place where people could rise to great success and wealth. That's what motivated people to risk life and limb to come here. ... but, under the corrupt, anti-American venom from Obama ... only corrupt politicians, celebrities, and cronies of Obama, will access to the American dream. Ironical ... how Obama panders to the immigrants for their votes, while eliminating the very opportunities they came here for. Obama is a power hungry liar, who is destroying America.

Frank .. don't you know anything at all about Unions? Apparently not! Unions are made up of workers! Unions are started in each factory, each school, each place of work. Each place has to begin their Union. Get it? Later, there were higher ups elected to take on the more complicated things to do with lawyers and paperwork that the workers don't understand. They are all working together, have been since Unions began in the 30's, mainly because the workers of factories got really tired of being stepped on and treated like dirt simply because they were trying to make a living. The workers are the Unions!

That's why President Obama works for the Unions .. the workers of every class, every work force .. schools, factories, coal miners ......

He works for union MONEY that comes from involuntary dues. Go drink some more kool-aid and polish your hammer & sickle. Unions are a very small part of the entire work force, I'm not in one because I prefer to negotiate for myself rather than pay someone else to do it. Public sector unions have bankrupted at least 4 cities now and that's just the beginning, you know there'll be more to follow, but go ahead and keep singing Obama hymns while the debt keeps piling up.

The Veep's home town of Scranton, Pa. for one. The Dem mayor is working to place public sector workers on minimum wage in order to save the city. Yet not a peep on this from the Veep! I wonder why? The liberal experiment has failed! Stockton and San Bernadino, Ca. has gone bankrupt while under liberal control. The Cali legislature has been under Dem control since 1970. The Senate for the last 42 or 42 years and the lower house 40 of the last 42 years!
Blame Bush if you want to, libs. BUT THESE ARE THE FACTS!

what am I missing here? the privete sector keeps adding jobs. not as much as we like it to be but still its on the pluse side. now in the public sector we are losing jobs.why are we losing these jobs now? what is causing this job lose? I have to give the man that is making jobs happen with no help from his opponents or his own party my VOTE!

    July 14, 2012 at 2:21 pm |
    • Frank Marshall Davis

The loss of public sector jobs is because of retirement packages negotiated by the unions and politicians. They thought the gravy train would go on forever but eventually the bill comes due and no amount of raising taxes will make up for it. California is the shining example.

BINGO Frank!! Again, look at Scranton, Pa! The mayor is working to place public sector workers on minimum wage! The home town guy, Bden still has said NOTHING!

I support President Obama, but with disappointment. I was under no illusion that his presidency was going to be extremely properous because of poitical, cultural, economic forces that he could not control. Obama was fool if he believe that his policy would be supported by the Democratic party because the Democratic party cannot govern and cannot maintain their governing coalition. Obama could not depend on Republicans to embrace a sense of compromise with his agenda because they obstructionist and want him to fail.

What do you expect him to say Steveo?? Your ILk is who's out here disbanding unions! I don't care what nobody says about unions, American workers need them! There's strength in numbers!! Employers are free to not only downgrade you when they take a notion, they can fire you at the drop of a hat!
