Did Obama try to upstage Romney on Israel?Washington (CNN) - The day before Mitt Romney makes a highly publicized trip to Israel, President Barack Obama on Friday signed a bill passed by Congress designed to increase security ties with the Jewish state. Both the timing of Friday's event and the presence of TV cameras opened the White House to accusations of political maneuvering in a presidential election year. Obama's schedule for this week, distributed by the White House on July 20, made no mention of the signing of the United States-Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act. The measure won final approval from Congress on July 17, receiving strong bipartisan support. White House spokesman Jay Carney denied any political intent with the timing of the bill signing, saying the measure passed last week and Obama was traveling from Sunday to Wednesday. The President is well within his rights to do what he did. He signed a bill passed by Congress by a large majority. As far as upstaging Romney is concerned, why not? republicans' intense hatred for Obama is well known from the day he was sworn in. No stops are being spared to somehow make him a one term President. GOP has openly said it millions of times. As Sam Donaldson said recently, 'The reason Republicans hate Obama is not because of what he has done or not, but because he is of Afro-American origin'.
Based on Romney's ever-changing statements from the beginnings of the Republican primaries until today, I would not trust him to be the local dog catcher and nether should the international community.
If the president upstaged the lying, hiding-the tax-reports, shifting positions wanna be, then so be it.

Obama has invested in the success of American companies when they were on the verge of bankruptcy to save the auto industry, and the banking industry and has invested for the future in solar power. While one of the solar power companies failed, that does not make the program a failure. Taking cash out of a company and loading it up with debt on purpose so it fails makes Romney a failure.
And you think my criiticsm of Romney is rooted in jealousy because he has $100 million in an 401(k) (which cannot be done legally)? I think he's an amoral socialpath and a crook - that is why I don't like him. And thinking that does not make me unAmerican. Exactly HOW is the country better off under Obama? The deficet has increased by 50% (more than under any other president in history). Obama lied to us about Health care (it's not a tax), Gitmo is still open, taxes have gone up and the ecopnomy is worse than ever. Seems like Obama has failed to me.
