POTUS buys a round of beers at Iowa State Fair WHITE HOUSE (CNN) - President Obama made a somewhat unannounced stop at the Iowa State Fair on Monday evening, just hours after Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan gave a speech there. The president gave no formal remarks but he did buy a round of beers as he greeted many fair-goers. "Bud lights all around on me!" Obama declared to those gathered in the Mike's Tavern beer tent on the Iowa State Fairgrounds. He clarified that the offer was only good for those 21 years old and older. To the chants of "Four more beers!", he looked into his wallet and then amended his offer and promised 10 beers for 10 people. Greg Lear, the president-elect of the Iowa Pork Producers, gave the president two pork chops to eat with his beer. Obama ate the pork chops with his fingers since he didn't have a fork and knife, according to the travel pool producer who witnessed the scene. While at the fair, he also reminisced about his stop at the fair in 2007 with daughters Malia and Sasha where he played arcade games and rode several rides. "I still have pictures of me, Malia and Sasha on the bumper cars," the president said. Obama had previously joked that the Secret Service wouldn't let him do the bumper cars again this time. Earlier in the day while making remarks at a campaign event in Council Bluffs, President Obama announced to the crowd, "I think I'm going to end at the State Fair. Michelle has told me I cannot have a fried Twinkie. But I will be checking out the butter cow and I understand this year there's a chocolate moose." Prior to those remarks, there was speculation of when his stop would take place. |

If there was a criminal issue of Romney not paying taxes, there would have been an indictment, criminal charges, and trial. Romney over the years, secretaries who have transcribed information for him and keep the files, business partners, and something like 23 years of returns to John McCain when he ran in 2008.
Mitt's own people said of his replacing of hard-drives of computers used his term as Gov of Mass. "Was to keep politcially sensitive material from those that would use it against him." What is in those that would damage him?
If Mitt has something to hide that is NOT VERY FLATTERING about how he invests and/or evades in legal or illegal practices and it is found out through sources who are whistleblowers then yes, they will try and get that information out to the voters that we deserve to hear about a man who wants to be our president. The truth is no matter who gets elected the Medicare issue has to be addressed. The question is can we be adults and do it now or down the road when the whole program is a failure for everyone. Finally, if voucher programs were so bad, why do families line up for vouchers to send their children to private schools? I would rather have that voucher to choose my doctors then be stuck with the ones who took Medicare. It’s important to have the conversation now and people discussing solutions because the current system is broke.

Nor the promise to halve the deficit, nor the promise to be a first termer if the economy does not improve? I get that right?
