First lady joins final leg of Iowa bus tour Waterloo, Iowa (CNN) – Going from a couch next to Jay Leno to the campaign bus with the president, first lady Michelle Obama will join the final leg of her husband's Iowa bus tour on Wednesday. "This is where the journey began for him and where it began for the first lady, and Iowa will always have a special place in their hearts," said White House spokesman Jay Carney. Earlier in the week Mrs. Obama made an appearance on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," where she dished about the Olympics, the "kiss cam" malfunction, and stumped for the president. "Campaigning is a privilege" the first lady told the audience, before revealing her proudest moment of the president's first term. "Health reform. I mean, you know...something that hasn't been accomplished by a sitting president in a century," she said. The first lady remains a popular figure and the Obama campaign considers her a key asset. There's "no better advocate for the president's policies than the first lady," said Jen Psaki campaign spokeswoman. They're hoping her appeal will sell in Iowa, a key battleground state with only six electoral votes, but with immense political clout. The first couple will appear jointly at the Alliant Energy Amphitheater in Dubuque. Then follow that rally with a final stop at the Village of East Davenport in Davenport. |

We are told Ryan is holding up the farm bill BUT Obama is not REALLY telling why. No explanation as to what else to jammed into that bill that gives the GOP pause. That is why they came up with a House version! INCOMPLETE information you say? Both sides do it to make themselves look good and the other side look bad! Just because a tv network says something good about the president it does not mean they support him. They are telling people what is going on. Would you say that because Fox does not say anything bad about Romney that they support him?

If they said nothing wrong about him similar to MSDNC and CNN does with BO, yes, they would be bias. You either never watched Fox or are telling outright lies. Last night for example they talked about how Romney would lose if he didn't pick up the pace. They also said he needed to get rid of his campaign people.
When an interviewer has no opinion other than Dem talking points she is reading off of a dem blog I would call that bias.
I do watch Fox sometimes and I don't think saying he needs to pick up the pace is a negative comment. MSNBC and CNN are no more bias than Fox, as i can pretty much tell you what they are going to say before they say it on them all. As for telling lies, just because the truth hurts does not make it a lie.

I don't get people like you – you can see Romney and Ryan are decent people trying to run a decent campaign. You can see the hate and lies coming from Obama and his people. He already skirted the rule of law, given his ???(whatever it is) on illegals to a point where illegal is not illegal anymore. If that is what the American people wanted – fine. obama said in 2009, in a CBS interview the medicare cuts in obama care will not be repealed...he would not allow it. That is $716,000,000,000.00 in MEDICARE cuts, cuts to older taxpayers health care! This is healthcare funded through payroll deductions...earned benefits...not a govt hand out! Paul Ryan's proposed cuts are to MEDICAID...that's MEDICAID...a big difference. Medicaid spending is off the map...out of control, and used to buy votes...this is the program even illegal immigrants are using. obama and his ilk wish to EXPAND MEDICAID....ie...selling it as FREE healthcare...a marxist ploy to buy power. This is what the repubs talk about when they say the CBO can only work with what is in front of them – if you proposal has double spending written in as the plan the CBO can only account for it as it is written in the proposal. The problem is, the same Medicare cuts cannot simultaneously be used to help pay for Obamacare and extend the life of Medicare.

Why is it important for Michelle to reminisce and remind us how lovely the campaign trail was for THEM? It is a slap in the face for them to gloat how wonderful the Ozzie and Harriet-style upward mobility 'ride' has been for them and of the experiences of their children while the children (and adults) of the inner cities have never realized the "change" they were duped to believe would happen for them. It's almost as if she is saying, tongue-in-cheek, that it's all been so wonderful because they know it's over as they 'gracefully' depart having done nothing they promised. In fact, on the Medicare issue alone, I received five return phone calls from doctors today, confirming they have "opted-out" of the Medicare program citing "it doesn't pay enough" as a result of the recent Obama legislation. I am an African American, ivy-league educated, Democratic woman voter living in NYC who is saying the Obamas have been a sham.
