Obama makes surprise visit to DNC

(CNN) – President Barack Obama made the brief drive to the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee in Washington Thursday to thank staff members there for their work on his re-election effort.

Obama – who has no campaign events scheduled for Thursday – just finished a three-day swing through Iowa, where he hammered his Republican opponent Mitt Romney for everything from his stance on wind energy to his position on Medicare.

      In 2008, the Obama team launched the hype, like ads for a block buster movie, and even an undeserved Nobel Prize, saying that Obama was the best thing since sliced bread ... even though he had NO track record, or experience which would warrant the hype. Then, over a span of 3 1/2 years, Obama proved that he could come nowhere near the exaggerated hype. And, even today Obama continues to B.S. us. He even accuses his opponents of selling snake oil, when in reality, that's all he's been selling us all .... all along. Unfortunately, some of the gullible fools, who bought into his hype ... cannot let go of the illusion ... just like kids who refuse to accept the reality that Santa Claus is a myth.

    GOT TO LOVE THIS even the secret service thinks Biden an idiot Here's the back story, we’re told that shortly after Crumb and Get It told Biden’s advance people 'no' - the secret service walked in and told Chris McMurray "Thanks for standing up and saying 'no' - then they bought a whole bunch of cookies and cupcakes.

    McMurray said he's hoping folks will understand he just didn't want to be part of a photo op for an administration whose policies he doesn’t agree with

    The Obama stooges call anyone who disagrees with Obama, haters ... I guess you can call us haters ... because we hate anyone who lies, steals, and tries to destroy this great country which we love. Obama, and you Obama stooges, have resorted to polarization, character assassination, thuggery, and gutter politics, in order to keep this traitor in power. You fanatics are willing to destroy America in order to achieve your goals. On the other hand, we patriots know, and believe, that America is much more important than Obama ... and, we are ready, willing, and able to defeat him, and to defeat you ... just like those who came before us, who had to defend America for over 236 years, from all threats, both foreign and domestic. We believe in America, and our constitution ... while you just believe in a power hungry loser, named Barack Obama.

        I cherish our constitution ... as I swore to uphold and defend it, when I served in America's military.
        Even though Obama NEVER served, he too swore to uphold and defend our constitution, only to break
        that oath on numerous occasions. Obama's knowledge of our constitution is only used as a tool to work
        around , and violate our constitution. Obama also ignores our seperation of powers, and demean the intent of our founding fathers, as well as all the American traditions our brave patriots have fought and died for, over the past 236 years !!! Unfortunately, lying scum, like you, dishonor our right to free speech, because you use this right to lie.

    The spin from the left is laughable. Obama and Biden try to relate to their audience then try to walk back their comments as "we didn't mean that". Just like the racist comment from Biden this week – the "THEY WANT TO PUT YOU BACK IN CHAINS" line. The libs are trying to spin this as "everyone does this, Ryan used the line shackled to the economy. maybe I am more perceptive that most, but I absolutely took Bidens comments as referring to slavery – and I assume any non-lib in their right mind did also. Shackling related to being held, in prison for example.
    Can you libs imagine if Romney or Ryan said this? It would be the top story for a week on lin TV (MSDNC, CNN, NBC, etc. BTW libs, this is yet another example how the libs dems are working out of the gutter while the two on the right stay respectful. Of the two, no question, libs pick the gutter politics.
    Libs WAKE UP!!!

      Mitt Romney continually uses the words " Shackle" "Shackled Americans" "Shackle future generations" Biden was talking about Wall Street, I heard it. And, he is right when Bankers keep Americans in CHAINS YA'LL through sky high credit card fees and interest rates, allowing the financial industry to make BILLIONS. Romney is saying that he wants to basically let Wall Street write their own rules. They are far from doing enough to stabilize the housing market by drawing down principles from homes whose values have crashed, and placing moratoriums on FORECLOSURES.

      RYAN VOTED AGAINST a law requiring credit card companies to notify cardholders that they were raising their interest rates.
      RYAN VOTED NO on a bill to allow the Treasury Dept. to offer $300 Billion in loans to communtiy banks to assist small businesses.
      RYAN VOTED YES to strip the Consumer Financial Agency of some of it's toughest rules.
      RYAN VOTED YES on a bill that delayed (for a year) new regulations on the kind of derivates that created the financial mess we are in at present.
      The banks got bailed out and used the money to balance their financial sheets without helping the American people – keeping us "SHACKLED" "IN CHAINS" Ya'll. You can take that to the bank facts that America bailed them out from their risky business. Banks and Investment Companies paying for AAA ratings from ratings companies that they were paying to give them a rating they didn't deserve. Business practices that just brought Jamie Dimon in front of a Republican lead Congress after Chase blew through a $9 Billion loss like it was a Sunday afternoon walk at the dog park. And, what did the Repubs do? Blow him kisses and tell him how much they respected his wonderfulness. Shackled, much America?? Think we are gonna keep from being chained with the practices Wall Street is prepared to and eager to resume??

        It's fake rage, he said that letting banks and wall street run free would put us back in chains. So?

        Regardless for a guy who wrote a book called "No Apology", Romney has been begging like a dog these days.

        August 16, 2012 at 3:20 pm |
      • Steveo

        Thomas, Romney begging has nothing to do with Biden's remarks and the fact that a righty would have gotten hammered by the media, the CBC, Jesse, and Al for the same remarks! You can deny that if you'd like but you'd STILL be a 1000 times WRONG!!

        If you remember correctly, Mitt Romney was asked if he would sign into law a personhood amendemnt if he were President....remember what he said....."absolutely" Then what happened? His campaign backpedled and said that he MISUNDERSTOOD THE QUESTION......how can you misunderstand that a personhood amendment would criminalize ALL ABORTIONS, CONDOMS, THE PILL, SURROGACY AND INVETRO-FERTILIZATION. As for the hatred towards Obama-Biden.....her is how I personally see it....I can serve in the military without fear of retaliation besed on my sexuality, I can stay on my father's health insurance until i am 26 or can find a job with benefits, I can also visit my partner in the hospital. Remember the old days when i was not considered worthy of serving in the military, or worthy of visiting the person I love in the hospitial.....I'm glad things have changed. And by the way....I am not necessarily for gay marriage.

    Biden's public service record is stunning, him alone can out run, out beat Romney+Ryan combined.

    Romney made a fatal choice.

    With Ryan, the gramma killer, this election focus shifted

    From the referendum of Obama to referendum of the DO NOTHING Congress;

    From the job creation economy to health care, social programs;

    From all American inclusive to exclusive to wealth 1%;

    From middle class to Billionnaire privileged benefits;

    The choice never been so clear, focus, and common sense.

      The taxes Romney paid were based on income HE made, from businesses HE built, which created thousands of jobs. All of Obama's taxes have been based on income we the people have paid him for voting 'present' 127 times ... campaigning ... fund raising ... playing golf ... extravagant travel ... throwing elegant parties ... and destroying the American economy.

      False GOP has blocking the jobs bill by attaching a rider that removes the ACA. So in other words they're making you choose between your job and your health.

    This came from CNN's Poltical Ticker yesterday

    Former Obama campaign co-chair: Biden's remarks 'racial viciousness'

    Posted by
    CNN Political Unit
    (CNN) – Artur Davis, the former four-term Democratic congressman from Alabama, said Wednesday that Vice President Joe Biden was propagating "racial viciousness" when he said Mitt Romney's regulatory policies would "put y'all back in chains."

    Biden made the comments Tuesday to a predominantly black crowd in Danville, Virginia, a city with a long history of racial tension. In May Davis announced he was switching to the GOP, leaving the door open to a future political bid as a Republican.

    – Follow the Ticker on Twitter: @PoliticalTicker

    "[Romney] is going to let the big banks once again write their own rules, unchain Wall Street," Biden said. "He is going to put y'all back in chains."

    Davis, who is black, said the comment smacked of a type of divisiveness he said was all too common in the South.
    A black man who co-chaired Obama's campaign recognizes the racial tone of Biden's remark. Go ahead and brush him off as an "Uncle Tom!"! Isn't that the norm? This man probably did more for your party than most of you put together and decided to leave it behind. Why?

        good post Steveo...and these obama lap dogs argue with the facts... you simply posted the headlines, the truth....good for you. The truth is obama has sealed as much of his past as he could...and there is good reason for this. His medical records are sealed as well...JFK and clinton sealed their medical records too...JFK, we now know was suffering from reoccurring bouts of VD when he took office and had many other health issues too...no one with a working brain would have voted for him...clinton, just use your imagination. The fact that obama and his Harvard Law Review association is not a big thing...has nothing to do with academic performance or curricula choices, it is merely a political appointment accomplished by very heavy lobbying by obama and others of his ilk...not a big deal....for those who are in the know.

        According to FACTCHECK.ORG
        It would be illegal under FEDERAL LAW under the FAMILY EDUCATIONAL RIGHTS and PRIVACY ACTof 1974 for any school to give any former student's records to reporters or members of the public unless with written permission by the person they pertain to . NO and I REPEAT – NO PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE HAS EVER DONE SO. Obama's college records are 'NOT SEALED' by a court order. He doesn't have to pay anyone to receive the same protection under the law.
