Why is CNN giving him a free pass on this issue. The truth is Obama has spent his time campaigning, not with his daughters. He is more interested in saving his own job, not his family.
Also if he wants to work more with congress why not do that during the day? If he can not manage his family, congress or his personal life maybe he is not fit for the job.
Obama, because of you a lot of families are having to work extra part time jobs. They can not spend quality time with their kids. If you truly cared for this country you would step aside. Let someone more qualified do the job. That way you can spend all the time you want with your daughters.
Obama believs that if the economy remains horrible long enough then everyone will accept it as THE NEW NORMAL and not expect better. Obama obviously doesn't understand and underestimates Americans.

Obama should tell the truth about his failed policies, which have resulted in:
1. Releasing and returning enemy combatants to the battlefield, for another shot at killing our soldiers.
2. Leaking military secrets to his Hollywood pals to promote the Obama reelection campaign,
which puts our soldier in danger.
3. Cutting back our military budget, thus giving an advantage to our enemies.
4. Refusing to call terrorists, like the Fort Hood murderer, terrorists, thus providing them with aid and cover.
5. Telegraphing troop pull out dates to our enemies, thus eliminating our leverage.
6. Assisting our enemies with our tax money, aid and assistance, while throwing our allies under the bus.
7. Opposing early voting for our soldiers, who are risking their lives, so the rest of us can vote.
These are just some of the reasons our military dislikes this traitor.
8. Providing terrorists and enemy combatants with due process, in American courts.

Do you even KNOW how much the united states spends in comparison to every other country? Throwing money at our military won't change our casualty rates, the true cause of this is what our foreign policy is: vietnam-esque counter insurgency. I THINK OBAMA IS TRYING TO MAKE TWO POINTS THAT DO NOT REALLY HAVE MUCH TO DO WITH EACH OTHER. SPENDING TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY IS GREAT, NOBODY WILL ARGUE THAT. BUT TO SAY IT KEPT YOUR FROM DOING YOUR JOB AS MUCH, AND THAT INCLUDES THE POLITICAL GAMES OF WHEELING AND DEALING, IS JUST IRRESPONSIBLE. WE UNDERSTAND YOUR KIDS ARE YOUNGER AND REQUIRE MORE ATTENTION BUT THE BURDEN OF THE PRESIDENCY GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND, AND THAT INCLUDES WORKING WITH PEOPLE YOU DESPISE.
HIS SECOND POINT IS MUCH MORE SALIENT, HOPING THAT WINNING THE SECOND TERM WILL GET PEOPLE FROM ACROSS THE AISLE TO COME OVER AND MAKE THE PROCESS AND POLITICS LESS PAINFUL. THERE IS TRUTH IN THAT, NOT ONLY BECAUSE REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS WILL HAVE LITTLE CHOICE BUT BECAUSE THE PEOPLE WILL PLACE THE BURDEN ON THEM. NOW THAT YOU ARE STUCK WITH HIM FOR FOUR MORE YEARS, IT IS TIME TO GET TO WORK.

The President is damned if he does or doesn't. You complain about failed politics. Everything he has put forth has been fought against by republicans even though some agree. Romney had a similar health plan in the state he governed. I'm a veteran of 22 years and was not impressed. Not once did he mention the many soldiers and their families. The only reason Bush wasn't there was because he was probably out looking for weapons of mass destruction. No sitting president in recent history has inherited such a hot mess. Romney or his wife does not speak to my issues. When they had a sick child, did they worry about health insurance. Now that sons are grown, do they worry about health insurance. NO! Oh, and he said he might release more tax returns when they are prepared. If they are past returns, what's to prepare or are we talking doctored copies for the public. he says he will create jobs. He just says it will happen but I've not heard how? I just he will give it up this time when he doesn't win. Go help Bush go look for those wmd
No matter what President Obama does he cannot please some people. If he spends time with his family – he is accused of "goofing off" instead of acting like a President. Then if he does go on the campaign trail to try to get re-elected he is accused of neglecting his children!!! I have that President Obama and Michelle offer a very stable environment to their children- and I do not fault President Obama for the time he spends with his family whatsoever!!! I happen to think that President Obama and Michelle are great parents to two beautiful daughters. Most other first ladies have had paid babysitters for their children- not President Obama and Michelle- Michelle's mother takes care of both children when they are on the road- and the government has never paid anything for babysitters for President Obama's two girls!!! I think Barrack- Michelle- Mayla and Shashi make a beautiful family and I am proud they are the ones at the helm of the country that I live in!!!!

Ms. Yellin, I just heard you say to Ms. Crowley that Obama preferred staying home with his family rather than negotiate with the Republicans. Did you really want to make that statement? In your interview Mr. Obama said he preferred to be home AT NIGHT with his children. I believe you are making a suggestion that Mr. Obama was ALWAYS with his family and not really trying to negotiate. Seems to me that Republicans did everything they could to deny Mr. Obama any success. Please respond. Thank you.
All I know is every time a Republican is voted into office I suffer more economically than I can ever expect . From Ronald Reagan with his "Reaganomics" to George W. Bush the author if the recession that we are all going through. And some of you want more of what they will give you? I'm tired of the Republicans saying" we need to take our country back." Take it back from whom??? I thought this country belonged to all people. So now that for the first time we have some one other than a white male running the country you have to take it back?? Recovering from a recession as serious as this one is takes time. People need to look at reality. If the Republicans were doing such a great job then why did they leave the country in such bad shape?? Then people think that Pres. Obama is a miracle worker and can snap is fingers and all is right with the world. Let's get smart people . Let work with our leader and stop the complaining.

Seriously – I was just thinking the same thing. There should be a little decorum left when interviewing the president. Embarrassing.
I will never understand why people say Mitt Romney would be more qualified. A government is not a business – a business focuses on growth and profit, a government on creating the best situation so all citizens can reach their potential.
The President does not single-handedly control the economy but has to work with two other elected bodies (both of which are now controlled by the Republicans, who repeatedly stated from the beginning their goal was to make sure Obama served one term rather than work with him to tackle the problems facing the States) as well as the free market, which has contrary goals to any government.
Trickle-down economics do not work. De-regulation does not work. Cutting taxes, boosting military spending and slashing social programs do not work. America, use your allies. You can afford to cut down on some military spending if you work multi-laterally.
