POTUS Day Ahead: California and OhioPresident Obama wraps up this week’s fundraising tour with a campaign rally in Ohio. He’ll travel to the campus of Ohio State University in Columbus just days after his last visit to the key battleground state on Friday. Tomorrow’s trip will be his 15th trip this year and the 4th trip since September 1st. Voter registration ends in Ohio tomorrow. Ohio obviously continues to play a major role in the Obama re-election strategy. Campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters on Air Force One “the people in Ohio are looking at who's going to be a better fighter for them in the White House. And the decision - the factors haven’t changed since the debate, so who's going to fight for middle-class tax cuts, who's going to fight to make sure kids have access to affordable health care, can go to college. In Ohio, there are some specific issues, like who is - who fought to bring the auto industry back. We all know Mitt Romney wanted to let the auto industry go bankrupt, and one in eight jobs in Ohio relies on the auto industry.” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney will gaggle with reporters aboard Air Force One. Nearly a month after the deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya, a House committee is set to hear testimony from an American security officer who claims that pleas for enhanced safety measures in the days leading up to the attack were rebuffed by higher-ups at the State Department.

“It’s a felony to misrepresent yourself as being an election official when you are not,” said Brian Corley, the supervisor of elections in Pasco County.
Corley said the pro-Obama volunteers registered “hundreds” of high school students last month when they were given access to as many as a half dozen Pasco County Schools – a district located north of Tampa.
According to school email obtained by Fox News, some of the Organizing For America volunteers identified themselves as employees of the local elections office.

For those of you that think a debate is a sideshow where the man that wins by changing his mind and declaring that he wouldn’t raise taxes on the middle class but that he would take away some of their exemptions, were you listening carefully? He didn’t say what exemptions that he would take away but the biggest one would be the mortgage interest tax break. The college tuition deduction would be number two, what else is there? Folks, taking away exemptions will raise your taxes, but probably not Mitt Romney’s.

I was shocked to hear Mitt say at Florida interview that he believed that people who couldn’t make their mortgage payments should be foreclosed on and purchased by investors at foreclosure prices obviously, because he says that’s the way it works in his world. I was in the farming business for most of my life and at times had to ask for loan restructuring it’s as American as apple pie Mitt and that is how America survives and grows.

Confident men can speak with a non-threatening authority and don't need to saber rattle and make offensive statements that alienate our allies and possible successful negotiation with countries that we are in disagreement with. Mitt says that President Obama will add an average of $4,000 to the middleclass tax bill? This is only if the Republicans keep stalling on impending legislation to continue tax breaks for the middle class. They won’t pass it because Obama’s bill doesn’t extend tax breaks for the wealthy as obviously there has been no trickledown effect and never will be.

We have a large population of Iranian descent in the USA that has contributed to our well being and defense. We don’t feel hate and animosity toward the Iranian people. However, should the time come when our disillusionment with lack of cooperation by Iran is, by our terms not Israel’s, just too much we will take action to alleviate that problem, quickly and without any more warning!
Last Sunday most if not all Southern Baptist churches participated in a deception to use visiting pastors to give a stinging and illegal political message against President Obama. At the church I belong to the visiting preacher went so far as to refer to President Obama as a Muslim and inferred that he was un-American. If I had a tape of this sermon I would give it to the FBI and Channel Nine News to demonstrate how provoked I am of this ruse and obvious deception. Franklin Graham used his tax free status to buy air time to pass NC amendment one which was a civil rights issue forged to fit the agenda of the religious right. Who monitors this misuse of tax exempt rights?

CBS News and "60 Minutes" correspondent Lara Logan took the gloves off last week, dropping her role as a disinterested journalist and delivering a speech in Chicago that criticized the Obama administration over its handling of the war in Afghanistan and the attack that killed four Americans in Libya.
Speaking to a crowd of about 1,100 at last Tuesday's Better Government Association annual luncheon, Logan accused the administration of downplaying the number of Al Qaeda operatives in Afghanistan to support its rush to leave. She also claimed Washington acts as apologists for the Taliban by downplaying their links to Al Qaeda and the strength of their organization.
"I chose this subject because, one, I can't stand that there is a major lie being propagated," Logan said. That lie, she explained, is that the American military has weakened the Taliban.
On Sept. 30, Logan interviewed the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, Gen. John Allen, for a piece on "60 Minutes." He told her that "an awful lot of the population of this country is living in an area where there is vastly improved security from where it was just a few years ago."
Logan, in her Tuesday speech, criticized the "narrative coming out of Washington for the last two years."
She said it comes from "Taliban apologists," who claim "they are just the poor moderate, gentler, kinder Taliban. ... It's such nonsense

I believe there is a difference between what a candidate states is their goal (not a promise) and what can actually be delivered with a two party system (not a dictatorship).
But what a proposed candidate like Romney said in a closed room to contributors who are basically buying and paying for him to fulfill their wishes if elected....yep! He feels exactly that way about the 47% and meant exactly what he said. He can prattle all he wants to about caring about the 100% of the people...but as the old saying goes "it’s too late the horse is already out of the barn"
As an old lady of 77 who has voted in each election since old enough to vote, and who has raised two sons....I can tell you...This man has serious flaws of character that have shown themselves time and time again as not being presidential material. He just doesn't man up when caught.
How many dogs do we need to have chained on the roof of a car, or a person with a military deferment who protests FOR others to fight and die instead of just thanking his lucky stars and keeping quiet, or a bully who cuts another student's hair, the man who has stated "he likes being able to fire people…".REALLY! Really, this is not presidential material this is a grown spoiled rich boy with no moral compass that wants a toy of power. You are entitled to your opinion, but that is my honest assessment of Mitt Romney. In all my years I have never seen a candidate that scared me more.
As for the unemployment figures, after 30 months of employment improving from the depths of the country losing 750,000 to 800,000 jobs per month...the jobs market has over the last 30 months continually increased, with the exception of June & July when numbers were revised down…. and with the rate having set for 3 months at 8.1% and each month for several months every new jobs report has had to adjust the number of employed people upward for a numbers of the previous months, it is no surprise that the number finally dipped below 8% to 7.8%.
Then there is the issue of Rmoney's tax returns....did he take that tax evader amnesty in 2009 and that is why he can't show his returns?
Look at R-money's lie during the debate about the (non-partisan and impartial) American Enterprise Institute's claim that President Obama would be raising taxes on the middle class....Well HELLO it seems the American Enterprise Institute is chaired by a past Bain Capital partner Kevin Rollins and Dick Cheney, and Newt Gingrich are on the board.

Many in Ohio in the auto industry and related businesses in the supply chain are grateful to Obama for his help. Maybe the same results could have been obtained via structured settlement, maybe not. What is not debatable, however, is that the auto workers are not union slaves. There is no quid pro quo. Many are quite aware that what worked for them may be impossible, for example, for their brothers in the coal industry or for the majority of the rest of the country. They will vote independently to secure the best hope for all.
Ohio is just one example of a change in dynamics in many of the battleground states. Twenty years from now students of politics will look back on the sharp reversal of fortunes in the run-up to the 2012 presidential election. They will draw their lessons from the implosion of the Obama campaign and try to determine how he snatched defeat from the jaws of victory despite the best efforts of the Chicago political machine, foreign contributors, union bosses, and much of the main stream media..
