Obama quickly returns to vacation mode Kailua, Hawaii (CNN) - Drama surrounding the fiscal cliff negotiations in Washington lasted well into New Years Day, but a mere 12 hours later President Obama was fully back to his vacation routine 5,000 miles away in Hawaii. Landing at a rainy Hickam Air Force Base in the pre-dawn hours, the president made a quick stop at his vacation house before scooting to the gym at nearby Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay. Two hours later, Obama was on the move again, this time for a round of golf – also at the Kaneohe Bay Air Station. His foursome included old Chicago friends Marty Nesbitt and Allison Davis as well as Bobby Titcomb, a childhood friend of Obama from his days growing up in Hawaii. |

Well at least he cut his vacation short and only went back on vacation AFTER the job was done. Look at the GOP, they went and took their vacations despite the fiscal cliff looming, and they tried to do it again today with the Sandy relief vote. At this point I can't tell if the GOP are continuously stalling because they're trying to stick it to the democrats, or if they're just plain lazy with this "take care of it later" attitude.

phil you are a moron. The payroll tax went into effect in 2009 to help with the recession. it was part of the stimulus. Cant you remember ? The president did not make it permanent and repos hated it. It is so predictable because it is painting Obama in somewhat a positive light, especially coming from Dan, so you pounced on it right away. How the heck do you draw such a conclusion that somehow Obama is trying to be a dictator by making the necessary cuts that you want to stop the runaway spending that you hate so much? I don't think that is what Dan meant at all.
My point is even if Obama managed to make the necessary cuts, your unreasonable hatred won't stop. You have already stooped to calling him and his supporters Marxist, so why stop now. Even if he does assume a dictatorship role to solving these issue more reasonable people would still take him over the do nothing Congress. This is true in most cases because people crave leadership.

Now every American with a paycheck knows Obama lied to us all about taxes. I am a middle class American making well under 200K per year and my taxes were significantly higher in my first check of the new year. Part due to Insurance cost and part due to higher taxes. He has to own this because he caused it. Then again he is the president of "I didn't do it". OBAMA is not truthful in his acts or his representation of America. He is going to break us all.

That means that Obama has taken 1/4 of the vacation time that his immediate predecessor did. Seriously if you think you could do the job better, run for president.
