Tuesday at the White House: Biden's report due

A day after his surprise press conference, President Obama is set to receive Vice President Biden’s much anticipated recommendations on the issue of gun control.

The recommendations follow more than a week of meetings involving the vice president and several stake-holders on all sides of the issue. It’s expected the recommendations will include both proposals for legislative action as well as executive orders the president can issue unilaterally.

The prospect of the latter has especially riled gun rights supporters, who fear Obama will single-handedly undermine the spirit of the Second Amendment. During the press conference Monday, the president insisted that was not his goal.

We also have the same at each past president's homes, plus several other persons, and it has been the law sin 1901.....so do you have a problem with that?

After the assassination of President William McKinley in 1901, Congress directed the Secret Service to protect the President of the United States. Protection remains a key mission of the United States Secret Service.

      Authorization
1.) Today, the Secret Service is authorized by law (18 United States Code § 3056) to protect:
The president, the vice president, (or other individuals next in order of succession to the Office of the President), the president-elect and vice president-elect
2.) The immediate families of the above individuals
3.) Former presidents and their spouses for their lifetimes, except when the spouse remarries. In 1997, Congressional legislation became effective limiting Secret Service protection to former presidents for a period of not more than 10 years from the date the former president leaves office (*which means we still cover George W. Bushwith a security detail at his home 24/7)
4.) Children of former presidents until age 16
5.) Visiting heads of foreign states or governments and their spouses traveling with them, other distinguished foreign visitors to the United States, and official representatives of the United States performing special missions abroad
6.) Major presidential and vice presidential candidates, and their spouses within 120 days of a general presidential election. As defined in statute, the term "major presidential and vice presidential candidates" means those individuals identified as such by the Secretary of Homeland Security after consultation with an advisory committee consisting of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the minority leader of the House of Representatives, the majority and minority leaders of the Senate, and one additional member selected by the other members of the committee.
7.) Other individuals as designated per Executive Order of the President
8.) National Special Security Events, when designated as such by the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security

A new online video game is taking political discourse to a whole new level. We already reported the death threats being received by NRA executives and now, a video game which allows users to shoot NRA President David Keene in the head, has been released.
Libs in action, can anyone say hypocrite ???? if it wasnt so sick it would be funny, these people are against guns ???

The feds ordered the arrest of an "llegal immigrant and registered sex offender" working for Senator Bob Menendez to be delayed until after the November election.
Wonder which party he belongs to????

Well I can see some Free Republic web crawler has got his daily myth fix. Really now..... was it David Keene or Wayne LaPierre whose head is featured in the video? I can find a lot of discourse but no actual video.. and chats that say it features one or the other, but contradicting which of the two is featured......LOL! Unless you have the link to the video I'm a mind to think it either doesn't exist..or if it does whose to say who created it....false indignation and anger has not been unheard of before.

Someone also seems to have overlooked the fact with all the NRA crying about video games being the cause of violence when they themselves have partnered with the video industry to produce many video games.

"Really if they believe video games promote violence, when they have not been shy about promoting video games to promote violence......fact is: that is a discussion they can't have both ways.
